Hello everyone with the new season of Code Geass announced, and the recent anniversary happening I've been considering GM'ing (since no one else will) a roleplay for the old anime series. I've before tried to make roleplays based on the series but to little success. Due to either my own ineptitude at the present time, or due to the seemingly inevitable 'dropping out' of players. So that I don't waste my time I've decided to see what some people have to say on the matter. I have a few ideas myself though I'm open to suggestions for new concepts if they gain popularity. Before I go further I'd like to make a few things clear if I am to be gm of one of these roleplays:
----I am strict on customization. Too much and the knightmare barely recognizable as something in code geass. Typically I will opt for canon suits over fanon stuff. However if it means getting an actual working roleplay together for once I'm willing to listen under two conditions: The suits must have a similar aesthetic to them that the show has. And the weapons in them must have a precedent in the series. Likewise big custom suits like Guren, and Lancelot will come somewhere in the middle of the rp. Getting big ass machines from the start may sound like fun to some people but to me it shouts 'burn it out early leave roleplay immediately when I don't care anymore.'
---Post length. If I wanted to see one and a half sentences for anything I'd go under the free section. Bare minimum for any roleplay I handle will require at least two paragraphs for a bio, and personality. It's not just to hinder the player. It proves you're capable of writing a solid character, and you're not going to drop out at the drop of the hat.
Now with those two things to keep in mind out of the way I'm willing to listen to possible ideas on the matter. For now here are a few ideas I have.
The aftermath of the Black Rebellion. The black knights failed and now it's time for a new group to take over to try to free the world. Namely us. We can be a group of misfit rebels from all over the world be it Japan or somewhere else. We can take the fight to a hurting Britannian occupation force and hopefully win. The setting in Japan is optional.
An elite group of pilots from the European Union. Hailed as the best the sovereign nations have to offer we fight against the imperial knights of the round and move to forward take the fight to them. Reclaiming land we've lost and slowly pushing out way either east, or west in order to take the fight to the Britannian Homeland.
Pre-Code Geass 1. An alternative universe where Zero died, or failed during his attempt to kill Clovis. We play as the JLF (Japanese Liberation Forces) in an attempt to take back Japan but this time without Zero's meddling we'll need to be clever, and decisive. A free world depends on our efforts. By collaborating with the Chinese, and the EU maybe we can make it out alive.
Hail Britannia! We either serve as the Knights of the Round, or the personal knights of some princess/Prince working for some Britannian Emperor putting down rebellions, and destroying the opposing forces that stand against our empire. The end game enemy may be anything from the chinese, to the EU, to even our own empire's traitorous scum.
Alright well that's the jest of what I got without spending too much effort on going on with stuff with the possibility of none of it baring any fruit. Feel free to talk about one below, or to suggest another one. The one with the most votes will win.
