@Shoryu Magami If you know the game but haven't played it, so long as you didn't look it up you're golden. But I'm guessing you looked it up, then. Also hey~ *facecling*
@shylarah I looked it up -- certain types of hints make it too easy to cheat. I mostly looked it up because I had no intention of posting it here or telling anyone the answer. I'll only answer something if I've read/seen/et cetera it generally, but it doesn't mean I'm not curious what they're referring to.
You also had said already that you looked up the answer, but that hint was for the people still trying to guess.
Yeah, I guess that's why it was a bit weird that I got hit with the [ @Mention ], since it clearly wasn't for me. Anyway, he's actually told me a good portion of the plotline for the game, but since I tend not to remember something unless it's important to me for some reason I more or less forgot that discussion. You bringing the game up again sort of just made it all come back to me.
That said, I don't tend on telling anyone. Did anyone actually answer the last one you did?
@pugbutter I might eventually, but my interests tend to be very specific. The Metal Gear series (which you've already made clear isn't the answer) is one of the few stealth games I've ever picked up unless you count Tenchu 2. I don't usually deviate from my interests much.
That being said, I've got plenty of plots I could toss up myself in this game here, but figured I'd wait since yours is currently going.
Professional Vampire Ranchers are rustlin' their herd of thralls when they run into trouble in the middle of a spooky village. Chinese Gandalf, his ranch hands, and his brother, Emo Chinese Tony Stark, have no choice but to fight their way out with Kung Fu, soul gems, and the piss of a virgin child. Somewhere along the line, after the cowboys successfully bring their herd to a place where they can rest in peace, Gandalf's brother releases a certain dead historical figure from his stony grave (A mix between Sauron and Darth Vader, whose kung fu is too powerful even for Emo Chinese Tony Stark.) and Chinese Gandalf's eldest ranch hand falls in love with Emo Chinese Tony Stark's sister/ranch hand/student/it was never made clear to me.
Not only is it a poor description, it's the only description I can give because I have a rough idea of what they're doing and no understanding of Mandarin.
The vampires are Jiangshi, and there aren't actually cowboys. A taoist priest bringing jiangshi home for burial is just part of Jiangshi exorcism.
Chinese Gandalf is a powerful taoist priest as portrayed by Gordon Liu.
It takes its name from a cult horror franchise by Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell.
I knew it had to be one of them. I haven't really played Thief II, but that quote was so true to his character that there couldn't have been any other answer.
A group of people in giant space capsules are trying to destroy the earth because their leader just happens to have a bad history with it. This guy in charge of a military unit tries to stop him but ends up getting both of them killed by a giant meteorite.
I'll give you a partial correct it is one of them but you didn't specify specifically the actual movie. I'll wait until someone gives me a full answer but if you really want to know I'll send you a pm.
