First off this is a roleplay based on The Purge movies. Don't worry if you haven't seen any of the movies, but here's the basic premise of the trilogy: In a near future in the United States, the New Founding Fathers of America have enacted an amendment known as the purge in which crime is legal for 12 hours starting from 7 PM to 7 AM. The enactment of the purge in the US has resulted in a lot less crime, poverty, and homelessness down to less than 1%.
In the latest movie, 20 years after it's enactment, it has met great resistance to such an extent that a presidential candidate Charlie Roan who watched her family be murdered on purge night has run against the NFFA and eventually wins.
The RP: 4 years after Roan has taken office and has done away with the purge, crime and homelessness are on the rise at an all-time high that has never been seen for about 24 years. Roan loses her second election to an NFFA candidate by the name of Edward Jones. Americans are eager for the reenactment of the annual purge and the rp will take place before, during, and after the purge. You can be anyone from a purger, to someone trying to survive and not take part, or an anti NFFA rebel.
