Aban blushed at her touch. "I'm sorry about that," he murmured. "Has me being your apprentice made your life better? Like, not so lonely?"

She nodded then sat up again,
"The life of a magic maker is a lonely one. You're hunted by the humans and enemies with your own kind." Sighing and drawing her knees up to her chest, Eden put her hand out to the fire which turned purple then dimmed to glowing amethyst embers. The darkened fire made the stars in the sky suddenly come alive.

Aban gasped in amazement. He loved stargazing, and he fell on his back to examine the heavens above. "I'm glad to have met you, Eden," he said. "Other than missing my home and family, these have been the best weeks of my life."

"I'm glad that you're here, Aban." Eden said, laying back in the grass,
"It has definitely made living in these woods so much easier."

"Cause now you got someone to chop your firewood for you?" Aban teased.

Laughing Eden shook her head,
"That is a plus, but you are very nice to teach."

"Thank you," Aban said. He took an ax. "And speaking of which I'd better get to it."

"Why?" Eden asked, staying laid back and looking up at Aban, her eyes wide and the stars reflecting in them,
"We don't need it now."

"Oh, good point," he chuckled. He looked up at the stars. "They're quite beautiful."

Eden nodded, then pointed up,
"That group of stars there, that's the Dog. He protects..." Her finger traveled across the sky to another cluster,
"The Hunter, who is hunting," She moved again,
"The Bear. They all have meanings to witch's, and the ones that are in the sky dictate what major spells can be cast."

"I see," said Aban. He pointed to another cluster. "That constellation. .. the curved one... it looks like a dragon."

"That is Draconi, he is the protector. Protection spells cast while he is in the sky are most powerful now." She patted the ground next to her,
"Lay down again?"
