The Enchanted Forest: Prologue
~IN PROGRESS~
It is a world where Snow White, Prince Charming, The Evil Queen, Rumplestiltskin, Belle, Captain Hook, Mulan, Robin Hood, Ariel, Peter Pan, The Wicked Witch and so many more, live and engage in the ongoing battle of good versus evil. It is a vast area, spanning over leagues and leagues of forests, oceans, mountains, plains, deserts and an abundance of Kingdoms ruling over each land. However, a single Queen rules above all else in a tyrannical horror where evil has never looked so good.
Having first taken over the Kingdom ruling over The Enchanted Forest, Regina, step-mother to Snow White, has spread her evil across all Kingdoms in her thirst for vengeance upon Snow for destroying her life. No matter what the Kingdom, none are safe from the crossfire of Regina's blood war that started the very day Regina had King Leopold, her own husband, killed.
The other Kingdoms divided apart from The Enchanted Forest where Queen Regina rules are:
King Midas and Princess Abigail
- Of Phrygia -
A kingdom known for it's bountiful gold and riches, given easily by the curse of King Midas' hand who, when he touches anything, turns to gold. There is bad blood between Midas and Prince James since Prince James did not take Midas' daughter as his wife.
Queen Elsa and Princess Anna
- Of Arendelle -
Once a land cursed with a forever winter, now a lush, green land with an open-door policy to those living in the nearby villages. Queen Elsa is a very fair ruler and is working on opening her heart to others around her to become an even better leader.
Prince Eric and Princess Ariel
- A combined ruling between Atlantica and Capbreton -
A Kingdom ruling off of the sea that, by association, Ariel rules over given her mermaid heritage. The two Kingdoms prosper well together and have no quarrel with any of the other Kingdoms.
Prince Thomas and Princess Cinderella
- Of Charente Maritime -
Given the closeness between this Kingdom and Capbreton and Atlantica, the three Kingdoms have an unspoken alliance with one another and are able to trade goods with one another very quickly and easily without much bandits on the road to worry about.
King Phillip and Queen Aurora
- Of The Moors -
Rid of the threat of Maleficent, Queen Aurora makes it her ultimate goal to have magical creatures and humans live together in peace and harmony. For the most part, this works and King Phillip has proven to be a righteous King.
King George
- Of Offal Court -
King George aspired to have his adopted son, James marry with King Midas' daughter Abigail in order to unite the Kingdoms so Offal Court would no longer struggle through poverty. However, Prince James died and King George was forced to take on James' twin brother, David, who had to pretend that he was Prince James in order for the wedding to take place. However, Prince David (James) met Snow White and instead fell for her, putting bad blood between the Kingdoms of The Offal Court and Phyrgia. King George will stop at nothing to gain riches for his poor Kingdom and thus has become a corrupt King.
King Maurice and Princess Belle
- Of Avonlea -
King Maurice wasn't always a King, but a lowly merchant who struggled to make ends meet for himself and very small family. However, when he lost his parents and older brother to illness that could have been prevented if they had enough money, Maurice, out of sheer desperation, called to The Dark One to change his fate. A deal was made and the Kingdom of Avolea was created, a small spot of land between King George and King Midas' Kingdoms that had (conveniently) gone unnoticed by the two Kings for any claim. Since then, Maurice was able to start a (royal) family of his own, consisting of a wife and a daughter but the wife, as of late, has passed on, leaving Maurice only his daughter, Belle.

Rumplestiltskin, The Dark One
Although he isn't from royalty, everyone within The Enchanted Forest (as well as other realms) knows this man. Undoubtedly the most powerful being in all the realms, Rumplestiltskin possesses enough magic to do just about anything, his only limits ever being able to cross to realms without magic and time travel.
He is notorious for making deals with people who come to him for help, always asking for a high price in return when most of the time, what he asks for in return means nothing to him, but the world to those he takes it from. He lives on other people's suffering, which makes him an incredibly dangerous man to bargain with. But when you are at your last chance, what wouldn't you do to get what it is that you desire?
Evil Queen Regina
Regina grew up with a very cruel mother, Cora, who made a point to never allow Regina to follow her heart. Regina wanted nothing of her nobility, caring only for the stable boy Daniel who Cora would not approve of in the least. Instead (by means of careful planning and precision), Cora landed Regina to be the new Queen of The Enchanted Forest by getting King Leopold to ask for her hand in marriage after Regina saved a very young Snow White from getting killed by a wild horse.
Regina tried to run away with Daniel, not wanting this life for herself but because of Snow, her secret was revealed to Cora and Cora did away with Daniel permanently, forcing Regina to comply with her mother's wishes and became the new Queen.
Feeling utterly helpless and trapped, Regina called out to Rumplestiltskin to help her with her mother, and became his apprentice. Rumplestiltskin gradually shaped Regina into the cold, cruel woman The Enchanted Forest now knows her as; a powerful force to be reckoned with, driven by blood lust at getting her revenge on Snow White for ruining her life.
By going after Snow's weakness, Prince James, Regina was able to convince Snow to bite into a poisoned apple, dooming Snow to an eternal sleep. However, her paranoia of True Loves Kiss remains at the front of her mind and it has been rumored that Regina has been working on a curse to end all curses, a guarantee that Snow White will not be saved.
Snow White
Snow White has the purest heart of anyone in The Enchanted Forest and absolutely adored by everyone in the Kingdom; wanting only love and good things in her life, however when she stumbled upon a secret that her soon-to-be-mother did not love her father, and loved someone else, she spilled her worries to Regina's mother Cora, unknowing of the consequences until Snow was a grown woman.
After Regina had been her step-mother for a number of years, Snow's father suddenly died, and Regina cast Snow out into the woods, sending out a Huntsman to bring back her heart. The villagers kept Snow safe when she needed their help, not believing a word The Evil Queen said about her in order to get them to turn Snow over.
Snow spent the next year in hiding, wanting to just get away and leave Regina be until she met Charming. Prince James, as he was truly named, and the two fell madly in love, and by the power of love, they knew that they would be able to overtake Regina and get Snow's castle back... if only just temporarily.
Since then, Regina had kidnapped Prince James and forced Snow White to take a bite out of a poisoned apple for James' life, dooming Snow to an eternal sleep.
The Blue Fairy
Also known as Reul Ghorm or simply just called Blue, The Blue Fairy is the supreme fairy of The Enchanted Forest and uses her magic to help those of the purest hearts to achieve what they desire, more often than not a wish that is wanted to help others and rarely themselves. It is said that all you need to do is find the second star to the right and call out to her, and if your heart is true, she will appear to help you.

There are, of course, other lands aside from the one The Enchanted Forest lays and our world. Notably two others in which our characters know of and might have even visited a time or two. These lands are not connected to The Enchanted Forest or our world, and the only way to leave one realm to visit another must be done by magic by means of a portal, a magic bean, The Mad Hatter's Hat, and even a terrible curse.
Wonderland
Home to The Cheshire Cat, Alice, The Mad Hatter, The Caterpillar, The Queen of Hearts and so many, many others. This is a world in which common sense is thrown out the window and nonsense becomes the common knowledge. It takes a lot of patience for a newcomer to withstand the gibberish of the natives, and not very many people want to even go to Wonderland for this exact reason. Not to mention the Queen of Hearts has a thing with cutting off anyone's head that doesn't do as she wishes.
Agrabah
A culturally diverse Kingdom tucked away behind the mountains and the forests in a desolate land covered in sand as far as the eye can see. Trade with Agribah is very precious but almost near impossible because of the long trek and bandits are plentiful on the outskirts of the deserts. It is located in the same realm as Wonderland and is ruled by a corrupt leader by the name of Jafar.
Neverland
Merely a rumor and less fact. It comes with the idea that whenever children go missing or run away, it is because a man named Peter Pan comes to collect them and takes them to Neverland where they never have to grow old and can be free to do as they please. Of course this sounds like a true paradise for children, more than likely every little boy has wondered what it would be like to be a lost boy, but one fact remains; those who go to Neverland, never come back.
Oz
Perhaps considered one of the stranger realms, Oz is a land mostly contrived of rumor and conjecture, with few holding the privilege of going there and back. Oz is a world of mystery and magic, with stories of an omnipotent Wizard who rules from a city built entirely of emerald; a Tin Man who roams the dense, uncharted forests; vicious flying monkeys; and a powerful Wicked Witch who oppresses many of the villages.

Enrollment Status
I am currently looking for a handful of players to join in on this reboot. As far as requirements go, I'd prefer people who are willing to stick around (this roleplay is over three years old), can write on a high-casual/advanced level, are active players (this roleplay moves very quickly and we use Googledocs/Skype to collaborate posts quite often for lengthier, quicker posts), and have at least seen the first season of the show. If you think you can live up to these standards, then feel free to post your interest here. If I have not seen you around before, please be prepared with a writing sample that may be asked of you.

What I'm looking for in a CS
Here is my CS I am using for Rumplestiltskin - please use this format and try to be as detailed as you can.
Rumplestiltskin - The Dark One
Name:
Rumplestiltskin, "The Dark One"
Appearance:
Age:
Unknown, seems to have been around forever (at least 300 years old)
Affiliation:
Neutral Evil
Status and Job:
The Dark One – Dark Sorcerer | Deal-making
Magic Capabilities:
There is very little that Rumplestiltskin can’t do, however he is unable to traveling in time. Being the best person to understand that magic always comes with a price, he has learned long ago the rules and restrictions of the art of magic. Whether it comes to spell casting, enchanting, cursing, or even potion making, he has done it all - his supply closet constantly full and always seeming to have just what he needs when striking a deal. There isn’t anything he can’t or won’t do to remain superior against other magic users.
Weapons:
Rumplestiltskin mainly uses his magic and sharp mind as a weapon, however he is known to use items such as daggers, swords and a bow and arrow from time to time and can be quite deadly with them.
Strengths:
Rumplestiltskin has the ability to outright make you squirm. He knows how to pull all the right strings to make his puppets dance; and since what he has to offer is always so much greater than what others have to offer him, he can keep the puppet show going on for years at a time. His patience is outmatched by no one, able to sit on a plan for centuries at a time before striking when it benefits him most. He's a phenomenal negotiator, always making sure that he comes out on top in some way, even if it's just the simple notion of taking something useless to him while downright precious to someone else. He also has an uncanny way of telling when he is being lied to, and often-times calls the liar out on it unless he can spin the lie to his advantage in some way.
His knowledge on most all things is unmatched by anyone he has ever come across in his lifetime, his use of magic and power seemingly unlimited of which he as the utmost control over. He is incredibly feared by most (if not all) people in some way, shape or form - notorious for his villainous acts which give him quite the reputation - most of which is the truth to some extent or maybe even worse.
Weaknesses:
Rumor has it that there is a magical artifact that can kill The Dark One. Rumplestiltskin is what a lot of people in The Enchanted Forest (and any other Kingdom or even realms) would call "unfriendly." He hasn't a true friend to his name despite what people might say about his relationship with The Evil Queen, and with that he is oftentimes seen alone when not making deals with people. He can oftentimes be very head-strong and come off as aggressive and intimidating, making him hard to approach. He also has a vulnerable soft spot in his heart for Belle, a woman who believes to be in love with him, and he with her, but his cowardice continues to push her away any time they become close. He is very quick to anger, having a very short temper, especially when someone brings up his past or his long lost son.
Rumplestiltskin seems to know of just about everyone just about everywhere across all realms - whether or not they know or are aware of him is another story. People from all corners of the world come to him for help or he goes to them when he knows a desperate soul needs his help without them even knowing they need it. Unfortunately, not very many people can say that they have gotten the better end of one of his deals.
Characters Coming
Brief Bio:
Very little is known about Rumplestiltskin himself, as the rumors about him seem to confuse the truth with each passing year. Even those that consider themselves close to the man don't know much of his past, nor do they particularly care as long as he gives them what they want.
Rumplestiltskin is a haunted man. Over three hundred years ago, he was an ordinary man. A poor spinner working hard to provide simply for his wife, Milah. He got his chance, however, when he was called to the front to fight in the Ogres War. However when faced with the harsh reality that he could die, and after being told by a Seer that he was to be a father, Rumplestiltskin injured himself so that he could go home. What he wants others to believe is that moment came from not wanting to leave a child fatherless, but deep down, Rumplestiltskin knows that it came from his own cowardice of not wanting to die - child or no.
When returning home, injured and branded a coward, Milah strayed from his side. Though still married to him, she indulged in other men until she met a pirate she was more than content with leaving Rumplestiltskin and eventually did - leaving Rumplestiltskin a single father. Determined more now than ever to protect his son, Rumplestiltskin had himself and Baelfire flee their home to avoid his son being drafted into the Ogres War. However he was stopped by the army, and forced to turn back. Though on his way back, Rumplestiltskin came across a hooded figure, promising him more power than he could ever imagine. All he had to do was kill him.
Rumplestiltskin was tricked into a curse, taking on the centuries-old role of The Dark One. Overnight, Rumplestiltskin became the most feared man in all the realms, being able to not only save his son, but ending the Ogres War and making himself and his son live in comfort. Baelfire, however, did not take very well to his father's transformation and wanted desperately for his father to rid himself of the curse. However, not able to, Baelfire called upon the Blue Fairy and she in turn gave him a magic bean that would take Baelfire and Rumplestiltskin to a land without magic where the curse could not follow him.
Terrified of losing his power, Rumplestiltskin let go of Baelfire at the last moment, abandoning his son to be sent through the portal to the land without magic on his own. The very second the portal closed, Rumplestiltskin regretted his decision, and has spent every day since planning on how to get himself there.
