[OOC] Civilization - New Lands, New Glory! V. 2.0

Good morning lads. Still feeling like shit and I can barely speak but I've been finishing up the post all morning and finally I can announce who will be able to join us starting from turn 8.

We require 3 new players, being:
1. @Pyromaniacwolf
2. @Bright_Ops
3. @Dogematix

Welcome! Now I'll respond to those of you who have already made a custom race posted in the ooc.
@Bright_Ops: the goblins are approved. Keep in mind your goblins are different from the standard around these lands so you might want to alter your history slightly as they, in their current state, wouldn't be natives to this land.

@Pyromaniacwolf: Given that you lower your magic capabilities to at best "Average", your lycans are approved into the RP. You may choose a color and location on the map.

@Dogematix: I can't find a post from you about what race you want to choose. What'd'ya wanna play, mate?

I can alter it so that the Enclave is relatively recent.

Also, was thinking of giving goblins a high birth rate... they kind of need one.

Type of Government: Theocracy- The ruler of the Covenant must be a leader of one of the 4 lesser Lycan tribes and have been chosen by the Gods- this can range from subtle hints to more obvious messages

Religion: The Void Trinity- The Lycans follow 3 Gods that they believe were banished to the void by other, younger dieties. The Father is believed to have created lycans and rewards the sacrifice of the youngest in a family by giving the eldest child the potential to wield void magic. The Observer is believed to have given Lycans sight and an appreciation for art and music, he is followed by Lycan scholars and artists. The Fighter is believed to have given the Lycans their strength and their ferocity in battle, he is commonly worshipped by warriors and hunters.He often demands a share of war prisoners be sacrificed to him.

History: A primitive race recently u ited before making its way to the continent on crude ships, the lycans were scattered into several tribes for centuries. These tribes were: The Bloodfang tribe, a tribe of ferocious warriors ruled by Grash Bloodfang, the Goldtooth tribe, a slaver tribe renowned for its excellent blacksmiths, ruled by Basir Goldtooth, the Silentpaw tribe , known for its excellent hunters and scouts, ruled by Mex Silentpaw and the Shadowclaw tribe, a small tribe known for its mages and fanatical faith in the void trinity, ruled by Vlath Shadowclaw. Until now these tribes were essentially separate nations, but Vlath Shadowclaw has conquered the Silentpaw and Goldtooth tribes, after a far longer struggle he has also conquered the Bloodfang tribe, finally uniting the Lycans under one nation for the first time ever. Now they set their sights on this new landmass the God's have placed them on.

Are you alright with the part about sacrificing a population to make a mage? I haven't really seen too many people use magic so far so I thought i'd check.

@Pyromaniacwolf Approved, but with one minor concern. The lycans probably haven't been in this continent for centuries, rather they would be newcomers from somewhere. Change that and you're free to write an introductory IC post!
Oh and the sacrifice in order to "create" a mage seems cool to me, go for it. So far, magic is very unexplored.

@Dogematix Roger that! Keep in mind there are native dark elves on the continent already in the Dark Woods. They may (or may not) differ from your dark elves significantly if you encounter them.

@Bright_Ops You are free to make an intro-post in the IC by the way!

Or well, they would have been, if you hadn't given that one goblin food and water and let him go. That's why they're not attacking you, they assume you're actually pretty friendly people, and they fear you.

Its very rare in any fantasy setting for there to be friendly-ish goblins. @Cyclone, mayhaps you can work towards converting them and having a more numerous workforce.

Also, Chen, my man, you wrote in the post the discovery of gold and copper, but wrote in the gray brackets that it was copper and iron. XD

Also, I may in the future, if I play me cards right, try pulling those ursa into the dwarven fold. But first, diplomacy! And mining, we dwarves need our mining.

Part of the reason that I chose to enslave some goblins was because I thought it'd be an interesting interaction. You're literally right across the river, so doubtless some slaves could escape to the swamp from their viking overlords, just like the original goblins escaped from orcs.

Edit: Well perhaps it's not too late. If the first three guys run in and all the goblins freak out and run and it's clear that there is no trap, it might all just turn into a very awkward encounter where Dag negotiates mining rights at swordpoint.
