Vischous smiled when she said her name was Lily. It actually fit her...she was beautiful like a lily flower. He shook the thought out of his head and tried to move on. "I brought you here because...well, to be honest. You are a vampire in the midst of the change." He said knowing she was not going to believe him. "I took you here to my house where me and the Brotherhood live. We are all vampires here so we can live here safely. I did not drug you...but I gave you some of my blood to drink to keep you alive. I will have to keep having you feed off my blood in order to survive the change. If you don't....you will die." He said in a calm voice to help her understand how serious this situation was.

Juni laughs a bit shaking her head."That was probably the first time I have heard some one say that but alright.." She says. Juni visibly winced when Rhage spoke of her now deceased family. Turns to the other male come in and smiled kindly at him and wave before trying to turn herself invisible as they spoke.

She looks at Noah who was looking at her as if she had given him the best present ever. Juni knew what she was doing when she said just use her name. She smiles at Noah giving him a nod of the head before he left making her laugh at how happy it seemed. Juni was slowly starting to like this place more and more. She had grabbed Rhage 's hand when he offered it and let him lead her to the bathroom smiling at his joke. Despite his looks he's actually had a very good sense of humor and Juni couldn't help but like him for it. Juni had been very excited when she saw the tub. Finally she can get clean and relax-

Then a woman came to them screaming about somebody killing some one else and she almost let a curse out when the female did. Juni prayed that RHage wouldn't leave Juni with the woman then he was gone. She sighs before looking at the woman. Far to pretty to be crying and being sad.

"It ain't your fault." She says softly using the same voice she would use on the horses to calm them down from their panicking states." As far from what I know of our men he made ya cry. And to be honest who ever 'he' is shouldn't have made ya cry if anyone is at fault her its 'he'." Juni says hugging the girl in a side hug. "Rhage, is there he'll stop Vischous from harmin' 'he'." She says

To the illustrious Thyme,

Let it be known that Argent, son of Aurum, wishes to invite
your household to celebrate the midwinter ball.
Words cannot express how deeply you and your family's
patronage contributed toward the success of the Glyter
line, and we hope to continue that tradition between our
households into the future.

Regrets only,

Argent, son of Aurum, First of his Name.

"The Bugatti was sold?"

Argent nearly tipped over the inkwell onto the invitation as Adamant, his brother, spoke over the crackling of the fire in their father's study. The elder male stood in the entrance of the room, staring at Argent, a glass of something in his hand. Brandy- a single sniff told him that much. From their father's stock. The male was dressed in jacket and loosened tie, both of which struggling against the mass of muscle underneath their fabric. And if the bulge underneath his jacket shoulder said anything, the male was likely armed.

Now where would he be going, dressed like that yet armed to kill?

Argent knew. He knew in his heart and soul, though he didn't have proof. The wax sealed letters arriving in the mail from Glymera families addressed to Adamant, while Argent's own missives went unanswered. The fact of the matter was, when one shared a roof with a killer, one learned to keep silent on certain things.

"The Bugatti," Adamant said once more, taking a sip of his amber liquid. "My Bugatti." He took a step forward with each word uttered. "Was. It. Sold."

Standing over Argent, leering down at him, he let the silence hang between them. Forcing Argent to fill that void.

"Yes," Argent whispered. He righted the inkwell and rested the pen within it. "I- we had to. Some years ago, you see-"

"You sold my car? To what, buy bread? Feed your cats?" Adamant chuckled before taking another sip of the alcohol. "The fuck do you think you're talking to, huh? That was my car. MY CAR! The gift from father for MY transition! And you fucking sold it?"

"Th-the Veyron was worth a million dollars, and the household-"

"Little brother, little brother," Adamant said softly, sweetly, in that deceptive tone of familial love. The one that made Argent lean back in his chair ever so slightly. "Our dear father, did he tell you to sell the car? Did he order you to do it?" The male leaned in a little closer, took one last sip of his amber liquid, then tossed its contents into the fireplace. That too handsome face, those lips that were perpetually undecided between smiling and scowling.

"He... he was wrapped up in his work. The necklace for the Queen needed- he wanted more time. Told me to liquidate the rest of our portfolio, but he wouldn't listen to me. It had been sold off years before. We were running on fumes! I had to release Lora and-"

"So that's what happened to Lora? You let Lora go? She was the best looking of all the Dogen! Damn near as radiant as a Chosen!" Adamant snarled, his face coming closer to Argent's. "The fuck is wrong with you?"

Which was when his tipsy brother finally spied the pile of letters on the desk. All sealed with their late father's signet ring.

"What is this?"

Argent swallowed, lifting the last invitation for his brother's inspection.

Adamant wasn't having it, though. He tossed the offered parchment into the fireplace, reached across the desk and took hold of their father's letter opener, ripped open the seal on one of the envelopes in the small stack, and read through the thing himself. All while Argent was ready to piss himself in fear that his brother had seized the note destined for the Brotherhood. The world- the universe- seemed to hold its breath while Adamant read the note. Argent expected to feel that letter opener plunging into his heart any moment now.

Until his brother spoke.

"A party?" He laughed. Laughed with the high pitched cackle of a hyena. "Brother- you're throwing a party for the glymera after you sold my car to keep the damned lights on?"

"It was... in our father's will. He wanted us to do it. To keep the family connections."

"And why the fuck would you care about the will, brother? Pretty soon we'll be selling the bone china and the furniture! The family's done. We can't live off of providing baubles and jewels to the leeches anymore. You were too stupid to learn how to continue that profession. We need to find a new way- before you blow all of our money on cocktails and wine!"

"It's- I'm using my money, brother. I'm not using your share of the inheritance. And it'll be a small thing anyway. Nobody will likely show up. I just wanted to fulfill our obligations to father. And the Scribe Virgin."

Adamant's lip curled, looking down at his brother. The letter was placed in Argent's hand.

"Fair enough. But you should know one thing brother. It's custom for these to be signed with a more personal touch..."

The letter swung quickly, sliding across skin, through muscle and barely missing the vein in Argent's wrist. The male hissed in pain, pulling the wound up to his lips to try and staunch the blood flow with his saliva.

"Make sure that my affairs are in order, brother." Adamant tossed the bloodied instrument onto the desk adjusting his coat and tie while watching his brother squirm in pain beneath heavy-lidded, coal black eyes. "I'd like to make sure I have enough at hand to rebuild this crumbling family..."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Venus, shellan of Reyd, was expected to do a handful of things within the Glyter household. Reyd handled the cooking and the daily upkeep of the household. She was responsible for managing the social engagements and the finances for the old master.

A walking rolodex of the vampire glymera, she had also been made privy to certain access channels to the King and his guard- the feared and fearsome Black Dagger Brotherhood. Like all other members of the race, she was certainly not privy to where they made their homes. Anyone who found that information by accident or guile likely found themselves incinerated at dawn. But, with the dawn of modernity, there were other ways to reach them.

She had followed the young master's directions and had left the house to deliver the stack of invitations to the gala, each one now marked by a drop of Argent's blood, bearing his scent. But the last, the one with the upside down seal, she'd opened as instructed. And as she sat in a dingy coffee house downtown, the kind filled with vagrants, beat poets, and baristas with more metal in their noses than had any right being there- she reached into her Louis Vuitton bag, unlocked her phone, and dialed the number listed as "Security" in her phone book.

And when the phone finally did pick up, her fair voice carried over the line with a whisper.

"Hello. May I speak with one of the Brothers to the King?"

Zsadist bared his teeth at the other man. He heard Rhage on the other end of the phone trying get his attention. But the woman's tears drowned out his brother's voice. He was impressed that the man was able to keep his head together. Not many could have spoke, much less make threats, when when he had them off the ground. It meant that the moron probably really cared about the female. Unfortunately that didn't excuse his stupidity. Atleast not as far as Zsadist is concerned.

"I don't know if you are dumb or deaf. I am not going to hurt the female. I would give you my word as a man of value but you and I both know I have no value. But I will swear that your friend will be safe until it's safe to let her return to her life. Whether or not she still calls an inconsiderate sleazebag friend is but to her. I try not to judge other people's choices." Zsadist growled. He hadn't hurt the man and wasn't planning on doing so unless the man did something stupid.

Marisol

Mari tried to compose herself. "I'm sorry. I don't normally make such a mess of myself," she told the female trying to console her. She wondered if she was shellan to one of the Brothers. Perhaps the one that had just run past them? Rhage, had she called him that?
"I called a friend to let him know I was alright and he got angry that the Brother brought me here," she explained quickly. "I'm Marisol... Mari," she added, reaching out a not very steady hand to shake the hand of the female before her. "I didn't meant to start all of this. Forgive me for disturbing you and your hellran," she said.

~~~~~~~~~~
Noah
The phone rang twice before it was picked up. "Good evening Madame," Noah spoke eloquently into the phone. "To what do we owe the pleasure of your call?"
Things were explained quickly and in hushed tones. Noah listened with a straight face, his lips pulling tight the only indication of his feelings. "Understood. I am afraid the Masters are unavailable to speak at the moment, but I assure you the information will reach them within the house. Your call is much appreciated Madame. If there is anything you require of us in the future, do not hesitate to call again. Oh, and please look after yourself Madame," he added in a tone that spoke volumes. If the wrong person discovered the source and reason for the call, the female on the other end would be in mortal danger.
After hanging up, he smoothed his jacket before straightening and going up the stairs. Two of the female guests were speaking in the hall and one of the masters was yelling at another over the phone line, a separate line from the rest of the house.
Without batting an eye, as if all of this was completely normal, he entered the room and addressed Rhage. "Master Rhage, I apologize for interrupting, but I am afraid I have quite urgent and distressing news for the Brotherhood."
~~~~~~

Rhage

Rhage wanted to rip the phone from the wall. He growled deeply in frustration. "Z, I am not foolin Brother : GET. YOUR. ASS. BACK. NOW. Something's going down and we need you here."

He slammed the phone down, confident that Z would return after hearing that. The Brother was loyal is anything. Stomping past Noah, he went into the hall and started banging on a door not far down the hall from theirs. "V! Something's going down my Brother. We need you out here."
It was a shitty thing, to interrupt a female going through transition, but she should be through the worst of it now and would need sleep before needing to feed again. Hopefully whatever had Noah sweating bullets wouldn't take long.

He found Juniper and Mari again in the hall. "Go back to the room," he told Mari. "And don't antagonize Zsadist when he returns. Just let him be."
He turned to Juniper. "Looks like that tour of the shower is gonna have to wait," he said with a playful wink. "Enjoy yourself and I'll see you later. Be here when I get back, true?"

Zsadist bared his at Gage one more time before releasing the man. He didn't care if the man went to the glymera or not. He didn't have the time to worry about it. Rhage was demanding his return. Which normally wouldn't wouldn't mean a damn thing to him. But he could tell from his brother's voice that something wasn't right at the mansion. He would never failed to be there when his brothers needed him. They weren't brothers in the traditional sense. But they were his world.

He used the phone to phase back into the female's bedroom. He hoped that he didn't scare her. Anger still radiated from him. It would take some time to calm down. And it didn't think that was going to happen any time soon. He was surprised when he saw that there was more then one woman in the room. Great just what he needed more females. He glared at the new arrival.

" It's fine to be a mess but don't let that cause you more pain then you're obviously already in alright?" Juni says pulling off a small smile. Juni shook the woman, Mari's, hand."Juni. Nice to meet you." She says before retracting her hand from the others hand."Uh, R-Rhage isn't my Hellran. I-I was saved by 'im." She stutters before taking a breath." My farm was attacked by some Lesser's Rhage had come and saved me. I am just stayin' here until I can get back on my feet."

Juni jumps when she hears Rhage speak but she remains silent as he spoke before letting out a small giggle."To bad. Oh well, I was plannin' on takin' Mari to her room so she can go lay down but I am sure I will be there when you get back." Juni says with a straight face having joked around like this with Michel before. She gently grabbing the girl by the arm."See you then!" She says cheerfully taking Mari to her room.

Once coming to the room she lets Mari go and smiles at the girl." If you need anythin' just come to my room alright?" She says. Juni felt the anger before seeing him turning her head a bit she saw the man who had caused Mari so much stress. Deciding not to be rude Juni smiles surprising herself with not crapping herself at the sight of him."Hello Zsadist. I am just comfortin' Mari while you were away. I am guessin' that you would like me to leave so." Juni turns to Mari."I'll see you later." With that Juni turned and walked away from the room when she was far away enough she bolted into the bathroom shutting the door quickly.

Juni was shaking a bit she closes her eyes willing herself to stop shaking before sighing. Zsadist scared the shit out of Juni and she made a metal note to keep a careful eye on him and Mari. After shaking off her fright she strips herself of her clothes thanking The Scribe Virgin that she finally could have one.

Mari

"Thank you," Mari said to Juni, grateful for the kind words. "I appreciate-" she was cut off by Zsadist reappearing in the room. He looked like a demon straight out of hell.
Correction : he looked like the nightmare of a demon straight out of hell. His anger rolled off of him like a black plague and it terrified her. Juni obviously felt the same because she exited the room quickly after saying some words that Mari didn't really comprehend. She was too busy looking into the blackness that was Zsadist's eyes.

She swallowed hard, her throat hurting with the movement. Her mouth felt dry and her hands still shook. "I... Forgive me," she said, bowing her head to him in a show of submission, to avoid angering him more. "I shouldn't have called him. Gage just... he means well I promise. Please don't kill him."

She ventured a peek at him, her grey blue eyes searching his dark ones for even a small glimmer that he was calming down. Talking people down was part of her job. But there was a difference between speaking to a depressed human and an angered male vampire. Especially a Brother on top of that. And this wasn't just any Brother. There was something about him... something deep and dark and violent.
But seeing that dark violence didn't make her want to flee. Strangely, it made her want to peer closer, to uncover the source of that darkness and soothe it away.

Mari stood without realizing she was going to do so. It seemed the more she stared at him, the more her body seemed to move of it's own accord. An instinct that made her want to touch and soothe, like a healing balm to an angry wound.
Her hand touched his arm and a small gasp escaped her. He was spun steel. There was no softness to be found in him. She wondered what she must feel like to him. There was a jolt of electricity where her skin met his that made her freeze.

Zsadist wasn't surprised when one of the woman fleed from him. Everyone fleed from him. He was dangerous and unstable. People sensed that. Atleast smart people did. Mari didn't though. She stood there and stared at him. He shifted uncomfortably. He hated when people stared at him. Scaring was rare for the vampire race. It could only occur one of two way. The first was serious wounds before transition. Some of his scars were that kind. But most of his were the second kind. Wounds that had gotten salt into them. Unfortunately he had been badly wounded when he had fallen into the ocean during his rescue.

"Your friend might mean well but he is willing to endanger you. That is not acceptable." Zsadist growled. He didn't like that Mari felt like she had to apology for something that wasn't her fault. Yes she had called her friend. But she had had good intentions. She had wanted to ease the man's worry. Instead of caring about the danger Mari was in her friend had been pissed because she was in the one place no lesser could touch her.

Zsadist flinched when he felt a jolt of electricity. It wasn't until that moment that he realized that Mari was touching him. He looked down where her hand was on his arm and then back up to her blue-gray eyes. "You're touching me." He whispered in shock. He was afraid he would startle her and she would run like everyone else.

Juni was laying down on the bed relaxing listening to the sound of her horse outside. At least that small piece of home was with her. She felt her throat tight again with that home..her home was gone and so was her father. Anger began to rise she sat up glaring at the wall. Juni never liked to hate anyone and to be honest she want's to be friends with as many people as possible. Yet the feeling of hate that was rising in her heart made her feel sick. Wiping her eyes she takes a deep breath and lets herself relax.

"Think of somethin' good Juni." She mutters. Horses, animals, books...Rhage. The thought of Rhage made her smile just a bit. Despite being a huge big bad ass looking dude. He is very childish and had made losing her Father a lot easier. She looks towards the door half tempted to go and see what he was up too. Juni shook her head."Nah, probably to busy..I wonder if Opal is open for a visit." She says standing up and making her way out of the room.
