[OOC] Fate/Argent Theosophy

Welcome to any newcomers. We have been planing this RP for a few weeks now, most everything is ready.

The current Servant count is: Wong Fe Hung and Europa, with an incoming Daebyul and Pecos Bill. The current general status of Servants is two very strong ones and two fairly weak ones. The middle is still wide open, though feel free to make whoever you want, baring those stated in the rules.

A few minor points of the mechanics are still being hammered out, things like how poisons work, and how powerful a Magi can make themselves through reinforcment, and similar questions. We may be departing from cannon on a few of these issues, depending on how things go.

So I have a fairly... cursory knowledge of this series but your IC has caught my interest. I'm dredging through the Wiki but like... there's so much information to sift through and I think some nuance will be lost to me anyway. So I'm just going to ask for you to bare with me as I try to figure this whole thing out.

@Pathfinder Sure, no problem! The canon is notorious for including wave after wave a new details, but the core premis is very simple.

Heroes are summoned from the past by wizards to fight over a wish granting artifact. You can use any Hero from any mythology around the world, (with the exception of a VERY few extreamy powerfull ones, and excepting gods or modern fictional heroes)

For makeing a Mage, there are more limitations, but it's fairly fiction typical aside from a few things. All in all don't worry about it. PM me if you have any specific questions about world rules, but its fine to be filled in as you go along.

Thanks, I've found that the wiki isn't all that helpful. It has the information, sure, but it doesn't explain that information. Doling it out in a "As you know" kind of way.

@Pathfinder it's not the most accessable setting to be sure. A lot of the details are largely extraneous as well.

For the imidiate purposes of this RP it's enough to visualize a Harry Potter ish universe, though it's darker in general and besides a secret society of wizards there are also parallel organizations of vampires and Catholic holy warriors all three of which are at war with one another, either hot or cold depending on the circumstance.

This is, in very broad strokes, the general shape of the world.

Mine also happens to be the second child of a mage family who ended up with her family's Crest after the loss of her elder brother. And her Servant is a Rider. So a lot... to the point where I am seriously considering putting her on the back shelf and bringing back a Master from an RP that never got off the ground.

(however, I will note that Marguerite--my Master--is almost 10 years older than Alexandria, is American, and her only living family is her mother, so there are some differences.)

Wha-.....That is just ironic. Oddly ironic since i have never seen your master's app as well! XD

You don't have to necessarily shelf her though. Similarities of how each inherited their family crests and each having a Rider class servant aside, she is older than Alexandria and likely has even more differences than she has similarities as compared to Alexandria, if i had to place a guess at least. The similarities between them could perhaps be a bit of comedy in the RP if the two ran into each other. :)

I got a question, how enthusiastic does my Master have to be about the Grail War? I'm thinking about making a guy who has been basically forced to participate by circumstance and/or not so friendly family. Would that be cool or does he have to like... Want to fight?

I have revised the Prana rules a little, now instead of regenerating +2 points per day for every Mana rank they have, magi regen a static 2 points per day +1 for every mana rank they have. Hence a mage with A rank Mana now produced 7 prana a day rather than 10.

I am wrestling with the horse tornado. Specifically, how big to make it. There's a lot of range between the size of a large horse and the size of a small tornado.

Yeah. The most well-known part of Pecos Bill's legend is that he lassoed and rode a tornado. I'm combining it with his horse, Widowmaker, for maximum awesomeness.
