"Where or with who?" Ryan asked lightheartedly before his mind processed Alex's tone. "Err, I'm at the amusement park with Juliettee. Do I need to come home or something?" He asked, his mind suddenly racing as he worked through all of the opportunities to why Alex was calling him. "What happened?" Ryan asked roughly, feeling his heart start to thump faster and faster. "Alex, what happened?!"

Juliettee heard Alex's voice through the speaker and her eyes darted towards Ryan. She could feel her boyfriend's heart begin to beat faster, making her sit up straighter.
A sigh could be heard on the other side. Alex remained quiet for a moment before saying softly, "I'm sorry, Ryan, but you're father is dead." It pained him to break the news, but someone had to do and Ariana certainly wasn't fit for it.
Juliettee's mouth gaped open as she pulled Ryan closer out of protective instinct.

Ryan's eyes darted around the ferris wheels' carrier as he heard Alex's words. "...are you sure?" He asked calmly, feeling Juliettee move closer to him. He didn't even wait for Alex to answer, he knew what he was going to say. "I'll be home soon." He spoke clearly before ending the call. He swallowed hard, clearly still trying to wrap his head around things. "Juliettee...do you think you could get us out of here?"

Alex didn't need to answer for Ryan to understand before the conversation ended.
Juliettee watched him hang up the phone. She blinked at him, a glimmer of surprise on her features from how well Ryan was taking the news. "Oh, uh, of course, love," she replied. She peered over the edge of the cart to see how far they were from the ground. Deciding it was ok for her to leave mid-ride. She unwrapped herself from around Ryan then unbuckled from the cart. She stood up and leapt out, her large white wings snapping out. She hovered in the air, unseen from the civilians' eyes. She cut a portal in the air, thanking that the Ferris Wheel was paused for the time being, then beckoned for Ryan to go through.

Ryan, without the slightest doubt, flung himself off of the ferris wheel and dove through the portal. He came out the other side inside of his house, not his new apartment. He was standing in the middle of his parent's living room.

Only Alex, Crystal and Melania were in the living room; Ariana was no where to be seen. Crystal pacing back and forth at the foot of the stairs while Alex stared up the stairwell. Melania was peacefully sleeping on the couch, snuggly wrapped up in a blanket with her teddy bear and her thumb in her mouth, completely oblivious to the tragedy at hand. Crystal looked up as a portal dropped Ryan and Juliettee into the room. Without a second thought, the scarred, muscular woman moved over to her nephew and hugged him tightly, a very rare occasion.

Ryan just stood there. After a few moments, he wiggled out of Crystal's grasp and sat over by his baby sister. "Where's my mom?" He asked his family, gently picking Melania up and cradling her in his arms. There was no idea she would understand what was going on. Or, at least not for a few years...

Crystal stepped away from Ryan he started to squirm to be freed.
Melanie frowned and shifted a little when he picked her up, but her soft features calmed when she felt comfortable again. Her little hand that gripped the teddy bear reached over to grip his shirt.
Alex slowly looked over to him, gesturing upstairs. "She's in her room," he responded. "I would not advise going up there for awhile, though, she's a bit... unstable, at the moment."
Juliettee stepped behind Ryan and gently placed a hand on his shoulder. Her face was saddened but also empathic, knowing the trouble of losing a parent.

Ryan looked over his sister, feeling the pressure of Juliettee's hand on his shoulder. "Well, I'm always unstable," Ryan started, gritting his teeth, "then I guess I better get up there." He seemed unnaturally calm right now, at least for someone as hyper as him. He turned to his girlfriend and handed her his sister. "I'll come back down in a couple minutes." He said to his family and loved ones before going up the stairs.

He didn't even wait to hear what Alex or Crystal may or may not say. He was up the stairs and standing outside of his mother's room. The air was so full of electricity that he could feel his hair stick up a bit. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before reaching for the door knob.

Juliettee took Melanie without protest, cradling the little girl tenderly. The angel seated herself on the couch while she watched her boyfriend ascend the stairs.
Alex didn't try to stop him when he declared that he was going to see his mother. He did, however, give an unsure look. Blowing out a long breath, the dragon ran his hand through his hair as he walked away from the stairs.
"Be careful," was all Crystal said in response to Ryan going up to see Ariana.

Ariana did not say anything, hardly even responded, to Ryan opening the door. She sitting on the ground, hugging her knees to her chest, with her head resting against the bed. Electricity was wildly jumping across her skin that reached out and touched anything close to her. Despite her highly active ability, her eyes appeared more dull than usual that blankly stared at the wall.

Ryan, at first, didn't say anything as he entered into the dark room. He walked over to his brooding mother, vibrating his legs as he moved. This way, he would use up the electricity in the air and not get shocked. "...Mom?" He asked quietly, kneeling next to his mother. He started to vibrate his whole body to protect himself from his mother's powers. He had never seen her like this, never seen her this broken before. "...please, mom. Don't do this to yourself."

Ariana's dull eyes slowly glided over to look at Ryan before resetting to stare the wall. "I haven't done anything yet," the words croaked from her throat. She barely moved her mouth to speak. She meant she had done anything to herself physically, but all that ran through her mind were a lot of dark things that would scare even the happiest of hippies, and a lot of blame for the death of Wally.
"You shouldn't be in here. It's not safe for you," she softly told him with more emotion than her previous statement. When she turned her head to actually look at him, the blue glow of the electricity that bounced across her skin shone on the wet tears that stained her cheeks.

Ryan had seen a lot of messed up and freaky things in his time as a superhero, but this definitely made him the most uncomfortable. The sight of his broken mother was the absolute worst thing he could ever witness. "I'll be fine." Ryan replied, making himself vibrate even more as he felt more electricity in the air. He was just a crouching blur at this point. "But you're not. Please, Mama, you're really going to hurt yourself doing this." He muttered, gesturing to what she was doing. "I know it's really hard, but you have to calm down. Dad wouldn't want you to be like this..."

Ariana seemed to choke on a sob at the mention of Wally. She quickly turned her head away from him and squeezed her eyes shut, covering her mouth with her hand. The sudden lurch of painful sadness produced more erratic electricity sparked in the air. "I've been trying to calm down," she said shakily. She was beginning to breath more jagged breaths, as if she were panicking. The hand that covered her mouth moved over her eyes as she pressed the side of her face into the bed. Whenever she was like this, Wally would've been the one to calm her down, but now that he was gone, who knew how to fight off her demons for her?

Ryan's vibrated speed upped again, but he was at his max speed now. He reached out for Ariana, putting his hand on her shoulder. "Mom, we'll get through this." He said, his voice shuttering due to the vibrating. "We will get through this." He repeated, moving forward and embracing her. Instantly he could feel the raw power radiating off of Ariana, but he stayed his ground. the hairs on his arms and neck stood up from the electricity, he was pretty sure his hair was standing up like an angry studio ghibli character as well.

Ariana jumped at the embrace, her nerves way on end. She was trying to calm her breathing by taking deep breaths but it was only helping a little. She uncovered her watery eyes and placed it on what she could of his arm. "Eres como tu padre," she choked out. After a moment, the dangerous electricity seemed to stop jumping through the air even if she was still a live wire. Tears started to stream down her cheeks while her blank eyes stared at the wall. "Am I hurting you?" She asked carefully, noticing how much electricity she was producing.

"Lo sé." Ryan replied, closing his eyes. "Not really," He replied to her question, even though the buzz of electricity wasn't exactly comfortable, "and I'm not going to let go until you feel a lil' better." He promised, noticing that at the electricity radiating off of her stopped increasing.

Ariana gave him a quick glance then returned to staring at the wall. It was a good amount of minutes for her to almost fully calm down. Well, there was no really calming down for her at her current state, but enough to stop producing as much electricity. Something in the air and in her behavior gave clue that, mentally, was going to be f*cked up more so than she already was. "I love you, hijo pequeño," she murmured once there was only a slight buzz coming off of her.

Ryan didn't say anything as he finally released her. "I really have to go run now." He explained, his blurred face blushing, feeling bad. There was too much energy in him, and he had to work it off or else his heart was going to actually explode. "I'll be back in a few minutes, your sister is down stairs." He said really fast as he stood up and disappeared, not even blurring away. He moved so fast that he disappeared. Moments later the air registered what happened and knocked everything around in the house due to the speeds Ryan was running.

Ariana looked up at him, but instead of looking annoyed, she appeared more understanding. She knew her son had a habit of running away his problems so it didn't surprise her when he said he needed to go. Once he left, she collected herself and crawled onto the bed. She rest her head on Wally's side of the bed, taking deep breaths so that she didn't start panicking again. The sudden rush of air was welcomed, making her close her eyes.
Juliettee, Alex, and Crystal didn't register Ryan had run off until the wind blew through the house. The angel looked towards the door and sighed. She really hoped that he was going to be alright.
