[IC] Doctor Who- I'm so sorry (Me and Kirah)

The Doctor got up and sighed and went and had a shower trying to forget about his nightmares. He stood under the water staring blankly. He wished that things could just go back to normal. But it didn't feel like it could be normal so easily again.
He was so bothered by all that had happened. He stayed in the shower for a bit before he got out. He then got dry and changed. He didn't know Rose was out yet as he hadn't seen the note.

He soon though noticed the note . He knew that he would need to find something to do while Rose was out. He sits on the couch and reads a book. He was shaking again and thinking a bit. He seemed to not be able to get what happened out of his head. It dawned on him that he could have never seen Rose again. He didn't think he could have handled that.

When Rose got back, he was crying again. He seemed a bit upset and was eating his breakfast by then. He knew that he would need awhile before he was back to his normal self. He sighed more.

[Kirah]

Rose returned finding the Doctor crying into his breakfast. She dropped the bag that had the couple of books she had decided to check out. A few for the doctor and two for herself. She was aware of his love for books and had decided that maybe a few books would help distract him while he waited for it to be safe to enter the TARDIS again.

"Doctor." She wrapped her arms around him. "Did something happen while I was gone?" She ran her fingers through his hair, unsure if that was for him or for herself.

The Doctor looked at her, he seemed broken. He knew he had to tell Rose, he was sure doing so would help him heal. He eats his food and he noticed that she had returned with some books. That had sparked his interest.
He was shaky as he sat there, the tears falling down his face.

"I was tortured... constantly " The Doctor whispered. He knew that would have helped to tell Rose. He hugged her, he seemed thinner since he had been gone. He seemed calmed with her stroking his hair.

[Kirah]

"I'm here. Always here." She didn't know what else to say, other than to reassure him that she was indeed there for him and always would be. Her fingers wrapped into his hair holding on to it for dear life. After some time she moved back, still holding onto him, almost as if letting go would let him drift away.

"I brought you some books. I wasn't quite sure what you'd like to read so I got an assortment of stuff." Rose dragged the bag over closer with one hand and opened it before pulling out a stack of paperbacks. "They were on the quarter shelf so I don't know how good any of them are." The books ranged from young adult to classic literature to some thrillers. There was a box set of books with a girl who had purple spiked hair pictured on the front.

The Doctor relaxed against her. He felt so lost when he wasn't with her. He had calmed down a bit with her comfort. He seemed to really need that comfort as well. He stayed close to her.
"I know ," He smiled a bit.
He knew how much he needed her sometimes. He was very dizzy as well. He just lay against her relaxing,

"Ohh thanks," He knew he would get bored while the TARDIS was under repair. He knew reading would keep him busy and would help keep his mind off things. "I find most books from earth interesting."
He smiled more.

[Kirah]

Rose held the Doctor, her Doctor. She picked one of the books out of the stack and just started reading it to him. The story was about a woman investigative reporter. Her first assignment was the case of the town's mayor's murder. As Rose read to him she ran one hand through his hair, only pausing to turn the page. She didn't even think to see if he maybe wanted to move to the couch, which would be more comfortable. She didn't want to move ever again.

The Doctor held her, He was closing his eyes, it felt good to be able to be close to Rose again. He listened to her as she read the book out. He didn't seem to mind not being on the couch. Well at least for now.
"Sorry if I am not myself for awhile. I'm sure once the TARDIS is fixed and we are travelling it may help, I feel so broken though." he had never thought he could feel so broken, He was listening to the story.

[Kirah]

"It is okay. I am here for you." Rose continued to read. She was several chapters in when Jackie returned home to find them like that.

"I'll make lunch." She said as she dropped the bags of food she carried. "I bought some more food so that there was enough for the three of us."

"Thanks mum." Rose smiled and let go of the Doctor so she could help her mom put away groceries.

The Doctor was looking at her "Thank you Rose," he whispered softly. He closed his eyes. The time lord was doing his best to relax. He was still a bit on edge after all that happened.
"Oh thank you Jackie." He said. He smiled a bit.
He wondered if she needed help "Do you need help?" He knew he should offer to help.

[Kirah]

"That'd be nice." Jackie smiled and gave the Doctor directions for what she needed. Rose's heart swelled. The three of them working together in the kitchen. It gave her a sense of fulfillment. She wondered if the Doctor felt it to. That just through the act of doing something he'd get better. She could hope, but she also knew that he'd still have that gnawing pain in the back of his mind, probably forever. She just wished she knew how to make it better, how to take away his pain like he had once done for her.

The Doctor smiled and was looking at her "Its not a problem ." He was happy to help. He helped Rose and Jackie in the kitchen. Even if it was to help distract his mind. It was also polite to help. He didn't feel right staying here for a few days and not helping out.
He wasn't sure how quickly he could get over what happened.
THough he knew distractions always helped.

[Kirah]

They three of them moved about the kitchen chatting slightly as they got the food ready and cleaned up.
Jackie gossiped about this person or that person a bit. Rose listened smiling, but for the most part didn't care. She'd ask questions to prompt her mum to talk about one particular subject that she preferred over another. When Jackie would get lost in the conversation Rose would smile and roll her eyes. Before too long they had lunch ready, along with a pot of tea.

The Doctor listened to the two of them speaking. He mainly stayed quiet and just helped them with the lunch. By time they were done his stomach was growling loudly. At least making lunch had helped keep his mind off some things.
"Mmmm looks good," He was smiling.
The Doctor gets a drink of water and looked at Rose.

[Kirah]

"Indeed." Rose pours herself some tea taking her seat.
"No need to stand on ceremony, dig in." Jackie said taking her seat too. "So, get what you needed done this morning?" She asked her daughter.
"Yeah, mostly. I want to do a bit of cleaning this afternoon, but other than that yeah." Rose responded.

The Doctor was smiling, he sits down getting his tea and he sipped his tea. "Mm thats good tea," he was shivering from fear again. He was eating and trying to ignore his traumas.
He was looking at Rose.
"Ohh why is this so hard," He whispered.

[Kirah]

Rose reached out and took his hand into her own. She held it lightly and gave him a gentle smile. She didn't have words to make it better, but she could be there for him. Listen to what he had to say, and accept the changed man he had become. She wouldn't let that change take him away from her. He was back and that was what matter to Rose the most.

The Doctor was looking at her. He knew he needed to be back out there travelling to feel more of himself. He sighed and looked at her holding her hands, He didn't seem to know what to say.
"Sorry Rose, its going to be hard for awhile, I know getting out and travelling will make me feel better."
He is shaking alot and goes and lays down. Feels bit sick.

[Kirah]

"I know, don't think I'm rushing you. We'll do this at your pace. I am here for you all right, no matter what." She gave his hand a gentle squeeze to punctuate her sentence, and then took a few bites of her food.

When the Doctor goes to lay down she takes him his tea, and his untouched sandwich. Rose puts it on the nightstand. "Eat it when you can. I'll just be in the other room if you need me okay."

The Doctor was looking at her. "Alright." He was shivering a bit. He sits up and sipped his tea and he closed his eyes. His head seemed to be hurting him. The time lord was looking at her.
He shivered as he was eating too.
"Can you come sit with me?" He whispered. The Doctor sipped more of his tea.

[Kirah]

Rose didn't miss a beat. She nodded and sat down beside him.
Rose reached out and tentatively put a hand on his shoulder, she waited to see what his response was. If he took it well she kept her hand there, if he flinched she would pull her hand away.
