Important NPCs
King Conan is a middle-aged man, a former mercenary, thief, pirate. A barbarian, a brute, a hero. He is one and many things. Conan is a renowned adventurer and the current king of Aquilonia. In his youth, Conan traveled far and wide, from the frozen Vanaheim to the mystical Vendhya. A man of wanderlust, he has finally settled down after killing the tyrannical King Numedides with the help of Count of Poitain. Currently, he is ruling Aquilonia, but his rule on a knife's edge, as a Stygian mage is causing chaos and unrest.
Name: Xetalca the Stygian
Age: Unknown, rumoured to be in the hundreds
Appearance: An elderly man, Xetalca has also traveled to distant countries, but he has always sown chaos and unrest in his wake. A diabolical mage at heart, Xetalca's mission in life seems to be anarchy. Xetalca often says that he is serving the Great Old Ones.
Xetalca is said to have originated from Stygia, but that is only a rumour at best. He is a man of olive skin and dark, almost black hair and deep, blue eyes. He is gaunt-faced and lean, appearing as an elderly man around his sixties. But don't let it fool you, as he has extended his life through the dark arts. Xetalca is a charismatic man, and can alter his voice with magic.
History: Xetalca knows many dark secrets and has delved deep into the magical lore, especially necromancy. He has a cadre of "soulless ones", former husks of men and women, who have become undead due to Xetalca's powerful necromancy. The Stygian has drained them of their souls to prolong his life, and that has left them lingering to Earth as undead. They appear as walking corpses, half-rotten and foul-smelling. The soulless ones ignore all kind of pain, and can only be relieved of their duty by chopping their heads off.
Personality: A cruel and cunning, Xetalca is at least hundred years old. He has a sense of pride in him, and if Xetalca was a ruler, his name would be cursed and spoken only in whispers. A pragmatist and an evil-doer, Xetalca loves overly complicated plans, as he has time to implement them. He often allows the "mere mortals" to almost catch him, and escape in a elaborate way.

A man from the east, Akiro is an old, wise sage and a wizard, according to some rumours. A man of letters and words, he has become the chronicler for King Conan. Akiro was once upon a time a travelling companion for Conan, but they were separated when Conan returned back to the Hyborian kingdoms from his travels in the east. Akiro traveled to the west a few years later and was employed by King Conan as his chronicler. Conan has told him many of his exploits, and Akiro has written them down for the future generations.
