They were shooting at her now, and a shot grazed one of her bare legs, as she used her strength to jump from the tall structure, and on top of another. Wasting no time, Vivienne snapped the manacle chain over a line before her, and zip-lined herself down from the structure, eventually landing on her feet upon the ground of dirt, a few yards away from the dock, and running. Running as her organza bustle gently waved behind her in the wind, keeping herself low from the bullets of the muskets. A few women screamed in terror as a few of the men's shots ricocheted, and came perilously close to them as they whizzed by. Vivienne ran through the gunfire, sprinting across the bridge and passed the terrified ladies.

Clearly, she had no idea where she was going. Vivienne may have been to many ports, but Port Royal wasn't one of them. Not to mention that the British now use it as a non-pirate port. For that, she had no direction on where she was going; only ending up at the port's market. Trying hard to steer clear, it was now becoming difficult on where to go. Coming out of her hiding spot behind the smithy's statue. So far, there was no where beyond the smithy for her to go; 'red coats' were everywhere, looking and searching.

Slipping herself into the working smithy, Vivienne figured that there would be something in there that could get the stubborn manacles off of her. Not to mention that she had an injury to tend on her leg. Seeing the fire nearby, she placed her wrists inside the fire pit, so the blazing heat will allow her to break the iron. Wincing a bit in pain, she gave her wrists a mighty tug, until it snapped, making the chain break. With that out of the way, and placing her pistol nearby on the work bench, she ripped off a parchment of her dress to wrap it around the spot where one of the British soldiers grazed her. It was bleeding, and the bullet had to be removed, but with time being an ass, Vivienne couldn't. Not until proper treatment. For now, she just wrapped it around her right thigh.

Will had gotten sidetracked. Mrs. Tucker's cart had gotten stuck. Being a gentleman, Will had stopped and helped her push the heavy cart out of the pothole and then to the market. Of course that entailed listening to her talk about her 'lovely' daughter and how she and Will would make a 'fine' couple. He had listened politely. He was not interested in the woman's daughter in any way. Oh she was nice - well minus the annoying habit of fawning over him every time he interacted with her. He wasn't sure if the mother had put her up to it or if she was just that interested. Either way, he had been glad she was not there today. That would have made it even longer.

Then of course, he got caught outside the bakery and spent some time talking there. Though, it was worth it as he had taken that moment to pick up some breakfast. Then of course there had been some commotion or other about some pirate woman threatening the niece of Governor Swan. He would have gone down to the harbor to see if he could help but he knew they'd turn him away. Shame really, he had trained to fight pirates. Not to mention, even though he would have done it anyway, helping out Abigail would in a way benefit Elisabeth. But alas, here was instead back at the blacksmith shop.

Entering, he frowned at the drunken heap of his master. "Right where I left you." He shook his head. The man was an idiot. If it wasn't for Will, he'd have starved to death by now. Will turned and saw the woman by the fireplace. She wasn't there before. Her attire immediately raised red flags. The still slightly glowing chains indicated she was the pirate. "You. You're the one they are all looking for." He said slowly taking a few steps forward.

Here was his chance. He could finally capture or kill a pirate. Will hated pirates. They had murdered his father. He didn't see it happen but they had taken the man away before sinking the ship they were on. The only reason Will had survived was because he had been hiding. The very fact he had somehow made it to land without drowning was a miracle. That was how he had met Elisabeth. She had been among those that had found him. They were so much younger than.

He frowned and pulled a sword from where it was hanging. He pointed it at the pirate. "You're going to come with me."

Tying the last knot with the loose parchment, Vivienne gave a few winces once the bandage was in place on the wound of her thigh.

Damn those sentries and their guns.

She thought to her inner self as the pain hit her, the randomized bullet rubbing against the flesh of her leg once she tightened it. The brunette tried her best to stand up, but it was proven difficult once again with her wound, making her lean against the workbench near the pit of fire. Taking a few breaths, she didn't hear the latch being fiddled with. From the outside! The brunette didn't move from her spot and she froze, once she heard what seemed to be one of Port Royal's blacksmiths. She didn't need to get herself caught by the public, but honestly, this new arrival sounded interesting, and a hint of curiosity hit her.

Despite this curiosity, Vivienne kept herself in a collected fashion once again, as if she was expecting a visitor; the same way she expected one of her crewman to enter her quarters back on the ship. She didn't look at him, though, just kept her head down, while keeping herself leaning against the bench.

"You. You're the one they are all looking for."

She heard him say, and the only thought she had was: Really? Really? But this thought was on a pause once she heard him take a few steps towards her. Smoothly, by sucking up the pain, Vivienne stepped away from her leaning position, and looked upon him with her youthful visage; her expression cold, but soft while examining him up and down with her blue eyes, only keening a little. She stalked a few steps towards him.

"You're an interesting specimen", the pirate observed, her eyes scanning him a little more. "Yet almost familiar. Do I know you?", she curiously asked him. Vivienne didn't expect him to answer, though, so she kept up the act of just passing by. "No matter; I won't waste your time. So if you'll excuse her", she respectfully concluded before beginning to stride to the backdoor. It was true that Vivienne didn't want to waste a professional's time to do their job, including blacksmiths, cooks, merchants, and farmers; that would make her a non-procrastinator. She just wasn't one to begin with.

The flirt was enough, but it wasn't when the brunette heard the sound of a sheathing weapon being drawn. It only made her halt in her steps, and give an annoyed, grim expression to herself at this young man's courage. Keening her blue eyes a little, she turned her upper body around halfway, with her head slowly following it, until her gaze laid upon the silver point of a sword. She was in the smithy, after all.

Flicking her eyes back to the male before her, she felt this action to be pathetic: challenging/threatening a pirate with said weapon. A light mischievous smirk creeped upon her visage, as she turned the rest of her body towards his direction. "You sure you want to do this, love? Cross blades with a pirate?", Vivienne half-teased with curiosity, before sheathing her own sword, allowing it to grind against the steel of his own to tease him a bit, while slowly putting herself into a defensive stand, her eyes boring into his own. "A woman?", she added.

Will eyed the pirate woman closely. He noticed the bandage and slight limp. Good. That meant she would be easier to take out. He narrowed his eyes at her. "Doubtful. I make it a point to avoid pirates. Or kill them if I do run across them." He retorted. He had never seen her before and after he turned her in, he doubtfully wouldn't again. She'd hang, assuming he was able to capture her alive. Woman or not, she was a pirate. And therefore she had to have some skill in a mainly male dominated career.

He watched her walk by. Frowning he drew his sword. "You're not going anywhere!" He declared taking a step toward her. His right hand held a sword of his own hand. He narrowed his eyes. "You'll find I'm more than capable of bringing you in." He kept his guard up. He had spent hours a day training to fight. He had learned everything he could - whether watching, asking, or just learning the hard way. He was more than confident that he could take her. "And the fact you are a woman doesn't bother me. I'll bring you in just the same. You're just as rotten than any other pirate."

He blocked her blow and parried back. A few exchanges like that and he could tell she was surprised a bit. Who would expect a smithy to actually know how to fight? He didn't reply at her comment on footwork, just fell in, keeping her in his sights. He parried again. "Yyou'll find I'm full of surprises." He told her confidently. "Though I don't expect you to just surrender, know that I will be taking you in - dead or alive."

There was a slight venom in his tone and eyes. Woman or not, she was a pirate. He couldn't fathom why she would want to be one but now it didn't matter. He despised pirates in any form. Part of him was thrilled that he actually had her here. She would be the first pirate he would fight and would be the first to feel his revenge. His family would have justice. He would see to that.

"I'm fine!" Abigail was getting a bit annoyed with the smothering. She pulled the cloak around her as Elizabeth and the Governor escorted her back inside the mansion. The wet clothes were now bringing a slight chill, despite the warmth of the day. They were escorted by a group of guards for protection though the commodore was out making sure that the pirate was caught. Abigail hoped Vivienne escaped. She couldn't bare to see her rescuer hung. And being who she was, she would undoubtedly have to be there at the proceedings. It wasn't something she'd enjoy.

Back in the safety of her room, she sighed annoyed as her cousin helped her change. "She wasn't going to hurt me." She dropped her wet clothes aside and quickly dressed into dry ones.

"You don't know that." Elisabeth was furious. She didn't take it out on her cousin but there was anger in her eyes at what the woman did. She loved her cousin but she also knew Abigail was a bit young and naive.

"Why save my life then?" Abigail countered.

"To use you as a bargaining tool." Elisabeth grabbed her younger cousin by the shoulders. "She's a pirate. And yes they are fascinating but they are dangerous. Come let's not speak of it anymore. I'm just glad you're safe."

Abigail let herself be pulled in a hug. She didn't continue the discussion at the moment but she would bring it up again at some point.

Vivienne's eyes bored into his own, and gave a half-coy smile at his statements. She remained silent as he went on and on about facing a pirate. "Sweet words, love. You wouldn't hurt a lady; I can see it in those eyes. They tell a story", that was when she let her sword be swiped in his direction; starting high, then low. High, then low. Low to high. The patten went on: parries, dodges, blows, then repeat. In the beginning, the pirate advanced on the male with her strikes. But when she noticed him advancing in retaliation, Vivienne had to reconsider that he was, most definitely, not an amateur.

Backing up, while dodging and parrying with his strikes, she made a hiss of pain with a grit of her teeth; the injury upon her high-leg flared. It was enough to make her lose her balance a little, until she knocked her lower back into the workbench next to her. Maybe if she played around with this man, Vivienne could easily decide whether or not he would potentially be trusting, and even worth sparing. So, with that, she waited for his next move. With the table behind her, it could get fun.

Obviously in a spot that had no easy route, she decided to take a detour; as he strikes, practically aiming for a part of her body, the Vivienne slid down to the floor, forming a split with her legs, allowing herself to duck, while letting his sword hit the wood of the workbench. He was pushing it, she thought while letting herself roll away from him, and towards the huge forging mechanism nearby, which seemed to be holding all of the newly-forged weaponry upon its belt.

Standing just a few feet away from him, Vivienne gazed at him. "I can see you know what you're doing. Fantastic footwork", she complimented him, before looking at him challengingly, mainly to intimidate him. "But once again, love: you are between me, and my way out", it was true, he was in the way. She keened her blue eyes, and put herself in a defensive stance, smirking mischievously. "Shall we dance?"

Will kept at the pirate. True, he wasn't the type to hurt a woman. In fact, he would usually never even dream of it. And despite the fact the pirate was definitely a woman - she was also a pirate. That meant justice demands he brings her in. He pushed at her. She was good but then again he didn't expect less. For a female to be a pirate, they'd have to be above ordinary. Or else some man might take advantage of them. But Will wasn't too concerned. He was good. Years of practicing and learning everything he could had made him real good.

He parried with her as they went. His eyes picked up the slight sign she was injured. He used that to his advantage. He swung down getting the blade stuck in the wood. He pulled at it. Rolling his eyes he pulled another sword from the collection and glanced at the pirate. Will raised an eyebrow at her remark. "You don't really seem the dancing type," he said. He didn't lower his guard but he did decide to give her a fair offer. "How about you surrender and we'll see about getting your injury taken care off." He nodded to her thigh. Her outfit alone was a bit suggestive but he kept his mind on Elisabeth.

Now that was a real woman. Beautiful. Intelligent. Caring heart. A bit of a fiery spirit. She was the only girl for him. Though, it would never be. Keeping that out of mind, he kept his attention on the pirate. "I do warn you, I not only make swords but I practice three hours every day with them. I'm not your average blacksmith or even soldier. I'm far more skilled than that." And skill combined with the strength of working at a blacksmith made him very good.

Will wasn't the bulk looking type. He was wiry, though underneath his loose shirt was a strong pair of arms. He could easily take on men who were larger than due to his body build. But for those who didn't know him, he was deceptively stronger than he looked.

Vivienne was a little amused by this man's equal share of charm. All she could do was wickedly smirk. "That's very generous of you", she responded as a slight mock to his offer, but again, she was playing with him. "But I can handle a little pain", the brunette winked on that. Sparks flew as she hit high and low, while he strikes back in equal measure. All in all, it was the same pattern...although she was already becoming a little annoyed by his ramble of self-proclamation. How naive, the pirate mused to herself as she grabbed one of the small forged blades nearby. Vivienne threw it at him with force, but missing, with him being able to dodge the incoming projectile.

"You made all these?!", she curiously asked him, somewhat amazed, while keeping up with his strikes. Three hours a day?, the brunette thought, internally groaning. "You really need to find yourself a girl, love", she remarked with that grin again, wicked and playful. However, internally, Vivienne was slightly getting frustrated to not lay a mark upon him, but in admittance, his skill was cutting. Vivienne knew that the more she pushed it, the more she could get inside his head, and find out what makes him tick. That last comment she made probably went a little too far in the young man's boundary. The pirate almost got herself struck, once she dodged a rather powerful swing.

Vivienne's blade unexpectedly locked with his own, surprisingly feeling his strength from the performed action. Her hand suddenly snatched itself onto the tied-collar of his shirt, to make her face closer to his own, while their blades were in an x-formation between them. "Or, maybe because you found one, and can't woo her?", Vivienne was practically taunting him again, although it was meant to be a curious question. Who was the girl?

Will scowled at her comment about a girl. He didn't need her to remind him that he and Elisabeth would never be. He swung hard, infuriated with her. She was good, he gave her that. Blow for blow, she held her own. He still believed he could take her but he did admit she knew what she was doing. "My personal affairs are none of your business." Will found himself almost on top of her. They were inches from each other, her hand on his shirt, her body almost pressing against his. It was intimate almost. Well, minus the crossed blades in front of them. Minus the fact she was a pirate. But he was well aware of her body.

He pushed her back, eyes ablaze. The fact she even was able to rile him, annoyed him. He stroke hard and fast. Pushing her back with the rage guiding the years of training. "You know nothing, pirate." Sparks flashed as his steel hit hers. She was good but strength wise he was superior. Skill wise - it could be arguable but he had enough to push her and her injury didn't work in her favor.

The fight, in a way was like a dance. Back and forth. Step here, step there. Up on the cart, of the cart. There were times he gave way, moving back but it was tactical. With one final swing he knocked the blade out of her hand. He grinned and pointed his sword at her. "Ready to surrender now?" He asked. His brow glistened with sweat, his shirt clinging to his frame.

Hearing his declaration of bleakness, Vivienne knew he would be angry, so she let the question go, and let go of him, practically allowing herself to be pushed back by his strength. However, her injury didn't help, and the brunette stumbled a little, but she stubbornly ignored it, keeping herself composed once the male advanced upon her again, following her in this uneasy acquaintance of a game. Time and time again, the pirate was using her body language to taunt, or distract him: winks and smiles, toying with him in this scuffle of a dance.

Her smile was still there as Vivienne advanced on him with swings of her sword, jumping away to dodge his strikes, and block them every time he came close. Swiping, the pirate tried to aim for any part of his body, but every time she made a strike, she grew annoyed by his uncanny skill, even after he managed to knock the sword out of her hand, causing her blade to hit the wall, piercing itself there. Vivienne's confident grin faltered, almost dumbstruck when he flashed the same expression back to her.

Damn me and my arrogance

She clearly underestimated this young man; he wasn't lying. Looking from her propelled sword, and back to him, the pirate needed to think outside the box. Feeling the pain of her leg hit her for the umpteenth time, Vivienne gave in, making a pained grunt, and slumped to the ground. "You may be right...that I would need to be tended", she groaned from where she was. She feigned the act, waiting for him to get close, and before he would know anything, there was loose dirt thrown at his face, temporarily blinding him. If he had his vision back, there would be a gun cocked to his face.

((In my next post, she would be knocked out lol))

Will watched as the pirate woman sink to the ground. Her injury must have finally caught up to her. Part of him was suspicious but part of him - darn it - was concerned. He moved forward a bit. "We'll get you patched up at the prison," he said. The flash of her hand and the dust that flew at him temporarily blinded him. He stumbled backward cursing himself for feeling at all sorry for her. With his left hand he quickly wiped his face free. Blinking the last of the dirt out of his eyes he looked back at the pirate. No doubt she had already grabbed another weapon or used it to take off.

Instead, he found himself facing the barrel of her pistol. His jaw tightened as he glared back at her. Pistols were funny things. The accuracy of guns were not that great. They were powerful weapons but bullets didn't always hit there marks. But here, in this short distance the odds of her missing was very slim. He glared at her, his sword still in his hand. His mind came up with different scenarios. Maybe if he ducked down and hit her knocking her over, she'd miss. Maybe if he made a dash to the side, out of the way, she wouldn't hit him. But then, that meant she could escape. The weapon itself had one shot but that didn't mean she would use it until needed. Either way, it wasn't worth getting himself killed.

"Nice." His tone held no admiration. "You almost had me." He scoffed. "Just goes to prove you're just as cold, blackhearted as all other pirates. I bet your mother weeps over what you've become." Probably not the best to insult someone holding a gun to you but if she was going to kill him, she would. His eyes kept an eye on her trigger finger. As soon as she made the slightest move, he'd jump out of the way. He'll still probably get winged but he might have a chance. But moving to soon will not work at all.

Still, he would survive. He promised himself that. He would be there for Elizabeth and no pirate was going to change that.

There was indeed a pistol being cocked at the young man's face, and Vivienne was giving him a serious, grim expression upon her visage; all ticks of the flirting teasing from earlier, gone. Her blue eyes were boring into his own, only giving him a warning to not speak of such things of her past. Her name was "Vivienne" now; all traces of her deceased mother, and the evidence of herself being a slave named Tallulah, gone. She dismissed his statement quickly with a grin, a sad one, this time. "And I thought you were a professional fighter", the brunette stated, until she heard banging coming from the front door. They found her! She needed to leave. Now! Getting up quickly with the pain of her wound still there, she kept the gun aimed at him. Noticing that he was blocking the path to the backdoor, the brunette was getting impatient. "Move away", she told him, almost desperate.

Vivienne was putting her finger on the trigger, and she figured that she would just shoot the young man anyway. But like before, the brunette didn't seem to have it in her to kill an innocent person. It only reminded her of the girl she just spared. She hardened her gaze towards him, and flicked the switch. "This shot is not for you", she confessed to him. "You don't deserve it", she added with sympathy showing on her beautiful features. What she didn't notice was someone hitting the back of her head. She did feel herself getting a bit ditzy, before falling forward at the blacksmith's feet; the pistol falling out of her hand.

Will watched the pirate. The banging on the door made his eyes glance slightly away before back to her. Confidence returned. She might try to kill him but she was had. There was no escape for her now. The barb about being a professional fighter didn't even phase him. He would survive but even if she shot him, she wouldn't be able to get away. He stayed where he was watching the trigger finger. Then, to his surprise, she showed a bit of sympathy. From a pirate? Had to have been faked. she lifted the barrel of her pistol up. However, before he could do anything a bottle was hit over her head. Will frowned confused for the second as he watched her fall, the half-drunk face of his master appearing behind her. The man grunted and tossed the bottle aside as the soldiers burst in.

"Well done, Sir." The Commodore said nodding to the man.

Will bit back his anger. The man hadn't done anything. If it hadn't been for Will, this pirate would have been gotten away long before now. He put the sword down as he watched the red coats pick up the pirate woman and start carting her away.

Norrington looked at Will. He gave him a slight nod and then exited as well.

"Will..." The half slurring of the head blacksmith caused him to look at the man. "Clean this mess up." The man gestured around himself. Will looked around. The place was a mess. The door was broken down. The scuffle of their fight had caused some issues. He shook his head. "But first, go down and get me some more ale. My supply is out."

Will bite it tongue. Turning he left without a word.

The pirate had been captured. Word spread like wildfire. Abigail's heart sank when she heard it. She should have known it would happen. There wasn't a lot of places in Port Royal that one could hide. Still, she had hoped. Talk of the woman's execution in the morning also sounded. Not being able to stomach it, Abigail excused herself from dinner, giving Elisabeth a smile, waving away any worries. "Just a long day."

Back in the safety of her room, she changed into a bit more traveling dress and snuck out her window. She and Elizabeth had long perfected the art of climbing down. Reaching the bottom, Abigail turned and was startled to see her cousin hadn't been as easily fooled as she had thought. "I want to see her." Abigail protested quietly, not wanting the guards to hear them.

"She kidnapped you. She held a knife to your throat." Elizabeth spoke quietly but firmly.

"She saved me." Abigail looked at her cousin.

"To hold you as hostage. It was her way out."

"Please, let me see her."

"You're going to let her escape." Elizabeth's face gave away what she thought of that idea.

It had crossed Abigail's mind. She didn't deny it knowing her cousin knew her too well. She couldn't get a lie past Elizabeth for anything. "They're going to hang her tomorrow. This is my only time to talk with her."

Elizabeth's countenance melted slightly. Her cousin was so young. So naive. Her heart was in the right place. "Alright, but I won't let you help her escape. Let's go. Just," she pointed a finger at her cousin. "So you can talk to her."

Vivienne was out cold; up to the point where she found herself waking up within one of the cells of Port Royal's brigs. She growled in frustration, even after finding that her effects were removed from her figure; searched her throughly it would seem, if she was ever gonna slip a tiny blade from her boot.

Looking at the window that was above her, Vivienne slumped down upon the floor, leaning against the cell door, and registering that the young man she fought was uncanny, and the brunette did admit that he even had such skill to fend her off. Was he absolutely sure that he didn't have any familiarity with pirates?

The brunette chuckled in amusement at the thought, eventually letting herself stare at the window before her. She just wished that one of these days, she would let herself go mad on such thoughts.

It hadn't been easy but Elizabeth had managed to convince the guards to let them past. In a way, Abigail was very grateful that Elizabeth had come along. She hadn't really thought of how she was going to get into the prison. She had just known she wanted to get in. In some ways, her cousin was right. She had no clue how life was. But being stuck in a house, playing the part of the daughter of a lord wouldn't help her gain the knowledge either. It was frustrating really.

Oh she loved her parents. She adored her father, despite his quiet - almost withdrawn way. She even loved her mother, though it seemed they got into more fights than actual conversations. In a way she missed the ease of being a young girl. No politics. No masquerades. Just loving support.

Maybe that was part of the reason she was here. She was curious. She had always been inquisitive. Always getting into trouble because she was, as her mother put it "too nosey". The pirate woman brought a sense of fascination to her. Not only had the woman saved her life - something Abigail felt showed that the woman had good in her. But, she was a pirate. Abigail had never heard of a female pirate. She doubted she'd be able to ask her questions with Elizabeth there. Her cousin was inquisitive and together they had daydreamed about pirates and adventures and such but Elizabeth was a bit more practical. It could be because she was older. There was several years difference between them. Either way, her daydreaming and fantasizing did not translate into any compassion for the woman who nearly killed her beloved younger cousin. Something which Abigail wished her cousin would understand would not have happened.

Walking down the stairs, Abigail felt a bit of shyness hit her as the moment came before her.

"Stay out of her reach." Elisabeth whispered loudly in Abigail's reach. "And don't do anything stupid." She gave her cousin a smile, taking some of the sting out of her words. She did want what was best for Abigail.

Abigail gave a short nod and then walked forward. "H.Hello." She felt silly at her nervousness. The woman didn't look that much different from last they met. Though there was a slight bandage on her leg. "You're injured." Concern showed in both her face and tone as she moved forward. "Are you alright?" What a stupid question to ask. She felt foolish as soon as she said it. Of course the woman wasn't alright. She had obviously been injured and would be hanging tomorrow.

The brunette didn't have much else to do, but she was leaning against the bars of her cell. Not that there was even much else; just a sitting place made of rock, and dirt covering the wooden floor. No doubt about the cell size. Not too big, not too small. It was probably large enough for a one-on-one fight, or perhaps hold a capacity of five, maybe six prisoners. For Vivienne, it was big enough, nonetheless; lying on her back, in the middle of the floor with her hair fanned out, and the light of the moon shining upon her youthful face. One of her legs crossing over the other.

A few sighs of boredom, and somewhat tiredness, came from her as the brunette just stared at either the moonlight or the ceiling. However, her time of loneliness didn't last for long. With a small voice coming from the brig entrance, the pirate's attention was caught as she turned her head to the side, and frowning to see the girl she just held captive a few hours ago. Hearing her concern, Vivienne sighed miserably yet amusingly, closing her eyes for a moment, then looking back to the ceiling. "Can't expect more than that, love", she simply responded. In all honesty, she did wonder what Abigail's intention was. Is she starstruck? Was she attracted to her?, it would be amusing if it was the last one.

Abigail wondered if there was anything she could do to help. She thought about getting something to care for the wound but she one look at Elizabeth and the question was squashed before asked. The young girl looked back at the pirate. She didn't really know what to say. She had questions but they seemed irrelevant in the light of the matter. Not to mention, some of them wouldn't be something Elizabeth would have approved.

Making a seat on the dirt beneath her, Abigail sank to the floor - with the grace one would expect from someone raised in the social elite. Though, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone else in her social status who would sit on a dirt floor in a prison across from a pirate who could have killed them. Maybe she was foolish. Her eyes moved back up briefly to meet Vivienne's before she looked down again. "I'm sorry they caught you."

From the doorway Elizabeth huffed. She wasn't at all sorry they caught the pirate. In fact, she had a few choice words to say to the pirate as well - after she had Abigail leave. She crossed her arms, her posture expressing her opinion of the matter.

Abigail glanced toward her cousin before lowering her voice slightly. "Was that your ship on the north end of the island?" She whispered. "Would you like someone to give them a message you are here?" She was so naive. She didn't even think of the danger of a young woman going to a pirate ship alone would bring. Her only concern was helping the woman who helped her.

The pirate had her eyebrow raised, once she heard Abigail whisper to her about the hidden ship on the north end of the island. She turned her head once again to her, not smiling, but surprised. "You just noticed? Surprised they didn't believe you; that I wouldn't commandeer a ship", she remarked back, making her own voice become low. She smiled wickedly at the girl's ability to pinpoint such an observation. However, the brunette frowned when she once again asked. "Not probable, sweetcheeks. Don't want to get us caught now, do you?", at that, the grin was back, along with a wink. Maybe it was best for this girl to not say anything regarding her ship; it wouldn't be best to even recall it around others.

Deep within the night, a dark ship loomed over the calm sea, like the spirit of death, gliding ever so closely to Port Royale and its unsuspecting inhabitants.

At the ship, that was hidden behind the two rocks, a few yards away from the dock, the lights upon it were doused to make it appear dark. An eyeglass unfolded, just in time to see this other ship drift in. The ship's quartermaster, John Silver, watched with a good eye as this other ship moved past them, towards the dock.
Come on, Vivienne...

Abigail was a bit surprised. She hadn't said anything to the others about the vessel. First off, they probably wouldn't believe her. There was no reason for a ship to be over there. Elizabeth probably would but then again - when had she seen it? Right before falling several hundred yards into the cove. Yes, not the best backup. She hadn't known it was a pirate ship. In fact, until just now she hadn't even been sure the woman was tied to it. It made sense logically. How else would a pirate get here? You couldn't just sail in on a normal vessel. The fact that no one had even questioned that fact seemed odd to Abigail. She was young but not stupid. Naive yes, but highly intelligent.

She glanced at Elizabeth from the corner of her eye. Her cousin was ready for them to go. She hadn't pressed yet but Abigail knew her well enough to see that she would say something very soon. She glanced back at the pirate. Her eyes searched the older woman's face - despite the slight hardness there she could pick up traces of what she thought to be goodness. She liked to believe the best of people. And her faith that there was good in Vivienne had no doubt.

She wondered if the woman had a plan. Of course she did. She wouldn't be lying her on the eve of death joking. Would she? If the roles were reversed, Abigail wondered how she would be. Would she face death bravely or would she break? One never really knew how they would react in adversity. Some people went their whole lives without finding out. Others at a young age. If her parents had their way, she would never know either. To some that could be bliss. Never facing anything to push you out of your comfort zone. Never having to face a trial that made you doubt the existence of good itself? To Abigail - she just hoped that her life wouldn't be boring. Monotonous. Without meaning.

"Alright, we should go." Elizabeth moved forward. Her dark eyes flickered over Vivienne disapprovingly as she pulled her younger cousin up.

Abigail wasn't keen on it. "Elizabeth." There was a slight plea in her voice. They couldn't leave the woman her. She might have a plan but Abigail couldn't do nothing.

The older woman had known of it. Ignoring the pirate for a second, she took her cousin by the arms and looked into her eyes. "She's a pirate, Abigail. And despite our games - they are not moral in any way. They will kill, rape, pillage and plunder without a thought. Not everyone can be saved."

Abigail glanced toward Vivienne. Her look was apologetic mixed with worry.

Vivienne held no ill-will in her gaze, but it was a vibe of playfulness coming from the expression. She watched the interaction of the two cousins, and by the look that she received from the older woman, the pirate wasn't at all phased, just glinting a little arrogance in her eyes, until...

"INCOMING!"

The brunette heard the yell outside of the brig, just until the thundering sound of a cannonball hit the room, blowing a giant hole in Vivienne's cell, and creating a disturbance on the stone walls. Vivienne made a yell of surprise as the dust brushed over her and her saloon-like dress; however, the noise of stone crashing down didn't go unnoticed outside of her cell: the debris of rock that the cannonball hit near the two girls, propelling an explosion of its debris to hit the nearest: Elizabeth, causing her to hit the stairs with blunt force, probably broken in the body, and head. Nobody could survive the blast radius of a deployed cannonball...

The blast surprised her. The fact her cousin had her in close was what saved Abigail from most of the shrapnel. Still, pieces of wood and stone cut parts of her skin. The blow threw her away from her cousin and disoriented her for a moment. When she sat up, she saw her cousin lying not moving. "Elisabeth?!" She ran over worry and concern evident. She hunched down beside her cousin, trying to check signs of life. The woman's eyes were open, though lifeless. Elisabeth had died nearly instantly.

Not being able to accept it, Abigail cradled her cousin's head trying to get her to respond. Anything. She didn't wail but her shoulders shook as silent sobs hit her. Tears streaked down her dust covered face. "Please, Elizabeth." Brokenness in her tone. Her cousin couldn't be dead. She just couldn't.

The sounds of cannon fire reverberated through the port. But it was almost as if on another planet for Abigail. "Someone help, please." She cried before attempting to do something, anything for her cousin.

"Elizabeth." The words were quiet and full of pain.

Her cousin had been the world to her. Though oceans apart for a good portion of her life, they had been so close. Sisters almost. Elizabeth had been her confidant, her best friend - the one who was always there for her. The voice of reason and sympathy in the madness of the political arena of her life.

She sat there. Time was nothing to her. Sound almost nonexistent. And as the port fought against the intruder, Abigail's sat there holding her closest friend, sobbed quietly.

The blast stirred Will. He sat up slightly dazed. What was going on?

"Pirates!"

"We're under attack!"

The shouts brought him fully awake. Jumping up he threw his boots on and quickly armed himself. Pirates. It couldn't be a coincidence. They had undoubtedly had some tie to that woman pirate he had fought earlier. No matter. This just another chance for him. The pirates would rue the day they met Will Turner!
