Personality: Kumori is an open book, with nothing to hide, no secrets, and no duplicity of any kind. He feels things more powerfully than others, and he doesn’t hide his emotions, instead letting them pour out of him in bouts of rage, tears of joy, crushing depressions, and the most honest smile that has ever graced the world with its existence. Kumori loves with all his heart, and would sacrifice his entire being in an instant if it would help a friend.
To an outside observer, it would seem a lot like Kumori has pure sugar running through his veins because he is excited so easily. However, after the rush comes the crash, and boy does he crash. Kumori becomes fatigued incredibly fast, to the point of dozing off when he’s walking or standing upright. While he can keep himself aware through sheer willpower for a while, he is out like a light the second he lets himself relax. This odd phenomenon is due to his unique chakra nature that causes his body to constantly leak chakra, which makes it appear as if his body is "leaking" wispy clouds, hence the nickname “Leaky Kumo”.
History: Let’s start off with explaining who the Yotsuki clan is, or at least who they were. One of the oldest ninja clans in Kumogakure, the Yotsuki used to be powerful and a name known by all in the Land of Lightning. They controlled one of the few Kekkei Tota in existence: the Cloud Release. Lacking the sheer destructive power of its cousin, the Dust Release, the Cloud Release was responsible for some of the most potent support techniques the world had ever seen. Unfortunately, or fortunately if you choose to look at it that way, the Yotsuki clan slowly stopped producing children capable of using the clan’s Kekkei Tota. For some reason, their bloodline technique was fading away. The Yotsuki clan was no longer useful, so they were forgotten by most and faded into obscurity just like their treasured technique.
Enter Kumori’s mother, Koemi Yotsuki. As the clan had stopped producing ninja of any talent, they found themselves with the freedom to do whatever they wanted with their lives. Koemi decided to travel the world, and it was during her travels that she went to Kirigakure and met Agini Hozuki. The two got along great and loved each other deeply. They still do, more than a decade later.
Kumori was born nine months later, on a cold winter morning. The mists had let up that day, and snow fell gently through rays of sunlight. It was the most beautiful thing either had ever seen. It was quickly apparent that Kumori wasn’t normal. His fatigue and falling asleep in odd situations was the first sign, one all Yotsuki were taught to recognize. Koemi’s son had been born with the Cloud Release; the first child in more than a decade. Her clan ordered him return to Kumogakure immediately, which she did, and she brought with her her new husband, married on the boat in the waters between Kirigakure and Kumogakure.
Agini went to the Hozuki clan leader the day before he was scheduled to leave Kirigakure and told him that he was leaving and why, omitting who his soon-to-be wife was and why they were really leaving. The leader grudgingly agreed to let Agini go, with one condition. A sealing jutsu was applied to Agini’s back that will kill him instantly if he ever tries to speak of the Hozuki Hiden to a non-Hozuki or if he uses the Hiden. Stripped of name and Hiden, Agini left Kirigakure the happiest man alive.
Kumori was raised in a loving home, with a loving father and a terrifyingly loving mother, in a village where everyone adored him for what he was. The Yotsuki clan leader, the last remaining Cloud user, was supposed to teach Kumori how to use his techniques, but the leader was very old, and he died when Kumori was just five. That left Kumori’s parents to try and teach him, but they didn’t even know where to begin. Since his father couldn’t teach him Cloud Release, Agini has instead been teaching his son how to use water release, something he has some talent for due to being half Hozuki. Kumori is currently trying to convert the water techniques he’s learned into cloud techniques, but it isn’t working so far. He knows that it is possible in theory, but he doesn’t know that doing so is an incredibly difficult task that a Genin shouldn’t even be attempting. He can convert his cloud chakra into water and use it, but he just can't figure out how to used the cloud chakra on its own.

Skills/AbilitiesContagious Emotions, Kumori can feel the emotions of those around him, and often empathizes with those emotions to the point where he feels the same way. This works in reverse as well; anyone who is absorbing his cloud chakra will feel Kumori’s emotions. It can become a really terrible feedback loop when Kumori becomes sad, but most of the time it just puts everyone around him in a good mood. This is actually a sensor-type trait of his Cloud chakra that he is completely unaware of.
Enhancement, jutsu used around Kumori absorb his leaked chakra to have slightly increased power. This is another support application of Cloud chakra that Kumori is completely clueless about. A powerful technique could actually pull cloud chakra right out of Kumori's body, which would be incredibly dangerous for Kumori.
Reaction Speed, Kumori feels an attack the instant before it connects, giving him supernatural reaction speed. This is actually a sensor-type trait of his Cloud chakra that he is unaware of. Because his body is constantly releasing cloud chakra, anything that enters the space around his body is felt in the wisps of Cloud chakra and then by Kumori. The full development of this trait is the most powerful of the Cloud Release sensory jutsu.
Terrible Chakra Control, Kumori has a stupidly difficult time controlling his cloud chakra. For one, it just keeps trying to drift off, and two, no one can tell him how to stop it from drifting off. Seriously, if no one else seems to have this problem, why does it keep happening to him? Kumori is working very hard on this point, probably putting in more time and energy into chakra control than any other ninja in his entire class. The problem is that he's trying to use the clouds like you would one of the basic chakra natures, which isn't how it is meant to be used. Once he has that epiphany moment of how to use the cloud chakra, he should have no trouble from then on.

Description: The Cloud release is a combination of the Water, Fire, and Wind nature releases. While it does involve the literal creation of clouds (they have a slightly pink tinge, which Kumori enjoys), that isn’t the true power of the Kekkei Tota. Cloud Release is not meant to be used offensively. Cloud chakra harmonizes with other types of chakra, taking on the traits of that chakra, usually to increase their power. The strength of the resulting technique is increased by the amount of cloud chakra added, so if cloud chakra was added equal to the amount of chakra originally used in the technique, the combination would be two times the power. Inexperienced users, like Kumori, have no control over their chakra escaping their body or who absorbs it once it is in the air, but more experienced users can control how much is released and who receives it. Because the owner of the cloud chakra can still feel their chakra after it has left their body, the Yotsuki clan was renowned for their skill as sensors. As their chakra is absorbed by others, a skilled cloud sensor could tell things about the receiver based on how their body takes in the cloud chakra such as their their emotional state or the exact identity of the receiver if the user recognizes their chakra signature.

Weakness: This is completely involuntary and quite disruptive, and Kumori has no clue how to stop it from happening. He’s… still working on it.
