This idea has haunted me for longer than I can remember, and I hope to get it turned into a well-executed story so I can finally have some peace of mind before I end up going mad, or at least before it gets worse than it already is. That means this story is intended to be a self-therapeutic process, and anyone participating in it must be willing to accept that premise. That said I'm certain it will be quite beautiful. Well, at least parts of it will. This is a story about life, and life as you know, isn't always pretty. I want it to be realistic, and I care deeply about things being "real". That means this story will not shy away from going into detail about the various facets of life, including the shadier ones, and that this story will be rated mature. Also, I tend to use some npcs in my stories, and don't mind if you do too.
At first I would have placed the story in the Advanced section, but it seems people write rather lengthy posts in the Casual section as well. I don't know. Maybe the Casual section will suffice. I'm new to this forum. Maybe you have some input? I'm certainly open to suggestions. I can rule out the free style, for certain, as I don't want one-liners and the like. I tend to write long posts and regarding RPs I aim to as well, though of course quantity shouldn't come at the expense of quality. This might not be a particularly long post but that's on purpose, as I don't want to give too much away. Regarding this story in particular I don't actually want to give anything away. I don't want to take away from the experience, and therefore I won't be putting up a bio for my character. I guess if you feel the urge, you are free to do so.
I'm not a big fan of restraints, and will not be imposing many on the game or the players, save the ones that are imposed by reality itself of course, as this is a realistic setting. If I think it gets too unrealistic or you godmod, I reserve the right to remove or ignore your posts. I don't have any particular stance on how many players this game is open to. If you feel like joining go ahead. I figure I will have the initial post up soon. I will try to see if I can't get it done sometime later today. I know it may be a little out of the ordinary but I hope you're up for it anyway. I think it will be a worthwhile experience. I hope so anyway, and so does my burdened mind...
