[IC] Caldwell’s Academy of Magical Talents and Draconic Training- Redo

[Aisling]

"When you are ready to talk, come see me, ok? I'll do what I can to help you adjust to your new life. I do care about my students." Thomas spoke with a smile.
"If you want to check around for a few mintutes, you might find James about. I'm not sure but most of the servants are upstairs some where. Normally they aren't up here during the day......." was a simple suggestion.

Ayaka stood up just as Lady Violetta came out to welcome her. Apparently she was one of the last ones here. If not the last one. Well at least, it didn't seem she'd miss orientation. She just got finished yelling at grass of all things when the headmistress came out and was kind of wondering if she heard that or not. Feeling slightly embarrassed now she said, "I...um...I'm Ayaka Rain."

[Aisling]

"Come with me and I'll let you get a bedroom after the Orientation Lecture. I wonder if there will be any other late comers...." Lady Violettat spoke as she gazed at Ayaka.
"Are you hurt? If so I'll heal you....Which program are you interested in taking? We have Basic Magic and Draconology this semester. Next semester there will be more options to choose from." Lady Violetta asked.

[Ninkitty]

Ayaka looked over herself before deciding then looked back at Lady Violetta. "I'm fine and I think I'm interested in traditional magic." Draconology just didn't sound very interesting to her so she chose the other option.

[Aisling]

"Let's go inside to the Lecture Hall. I hope that rest of the students are ready." Lady Violetta said as she turned around to head inside.
When she arrived in the Lecture room, she announced
"Students, we have another student to arrive but I am ready to start the lecture. Ayaka, please find a seat in the front please so we can begin."

[Ninkitty]

Ayaka followed her to the lecture hall. She sat down in the front row and waited for the lecture to start. She felt really excited, yet unsure exactly what she wanted to study. Though yes, she knew she'd be studying traditional magic; she still wasn't sure if there was a specific kind of magic she really wanted to learn. Then there were probably also extracurricular activities. Ayaka just decided on choosing something later. Hopefully, after this orientation.

[Aisling]

“Again, welcome to Caldwell’s Academy of Magical Talent. Everyone find a desk to sit at near the front, please.
I am Lady Violetta and am the Headmistress of this Academy. I will be doing the Basic Magic Classes.
This is Thomas Skywalker who will be the teacher for the Draconic Classes.
You are few students who are strong enough to make it through the Picture. You have a magic core that can make you great Wizards and even Mages in the future. Your Magic Core will be your main tool in this Academy. There are other tools that you will learn to use as well.
You will become interesting people who will travel this new world and explore the other land masses. A few will stay home and be part of The Academy Island. I will need a Governor and an Archives Specialist to help me with my job. There will be more jobs as more students show up.
Any questions so far?” Lady Violetta asked.

"When do we receive class schedules? "
I ask after raising my hand, I lean forward in my chair and prop my face with my hand.

[Aisling]

"That will come tomorrow morning. Today is all about getting used to your new equiptment and getting settled in plus choosing a pet." Came the reply.

Ayaka now had something else to be excited for. A pet! She couldn't wait. Raising her hand, she asked "What kinds of classes would we be taking and what pets would we be able to choose from?"

As I was cleaning the attic before school & I come across this odd looking picture titled Caldwell's Academy of Magical Talents and Draconic Academy occupied by a layer of dust.
I reached closer to brush off the dust on the picture but as soon as I touch the picture I started to find myself falling in on to soft green grass.

I jump to my feet & sweeps off any dirt from my uniform.
That’s when I notice the smashing good building with the bright blue roof for some reason it felt like I’ve seen this before but can’t quiet remember where I’ve seen it.
As I walked closer a bell started to ring all thought out the building witch was oddly quiet.

[Rinion]

Rinion raised his hand an d spoke just loudly enough to hear, "w-whats charge and whats a equipment bell oh and a PLT, i-if you don't mind", Rinion had remembered everything that confused him and made a mental category for them, he was happy that he could ask these questions to get them out the way and when he heard he would be getting a pet he smiled once again and "Ticked" slightly.

[Aisling]

Lady Violetta smiled patiently as she spoke
"Ayaka, the class schedules will be discussed tomorrow. You will find out what pets you may have when you get your PLTs.
Rinion, the Equipment Belt is something that you will wear everyday and it will keep your wand, pet stick and snacks at hand. A PLTs is like a laptop on Earth but it is Sentient and much more useful than what you can ever imangine."

Thomas upon seeing that Lady Violetta was busy and somehow he just knew that there was a new arrival, simply went outside and spoke to the person who had just arrived.
"Hello there miss. Welcome to Caldwell's Academy of Magical Talents and Draconic Arts. My name is Thomas Skywalker and I am the teacher for the Draconic side. May I have your name as we walk to the Orientation will is going on right now."

[Rinion]

Rinion nodded then smiled, he only hoped that when it came to receiving a pet that he would finally understand what the voice in his head had been talking about.
looking around the lecture hall rinion took account of all the new students and was pleased to see that there wasn't to many people to cope with.

[Aisling]

Lady Violetta looked at the students and decided to finished the lecture even though it is a bit long. She wanted to get going on the fun stuff.
"Please listen up students! This will be the long part and after I am finished with this we shall have a pizza party!
“I want to speak a bit on Magic and its uses. I want each of you to listen to this carefully.
Magic is a tool that can be used for good or evil or anywhere in between. The magic user must be aware of what he or she is doing and why. There are consequences to using magic. Consequences can be devastating if the magic user is not aware of all of the effects of the magic that is being used.
The magic user is only as strong as his or her body’s

endurance of the physical and mental abilities.

A) Physical Strength.
The magic user is only as strong as his or herself. Magic takes a lot of stamina to do and the body will be drained constantly when the person uses magic.
B) Mental Strength.
The magic user must be able to concentrate well, visualize well and think clearly as well as quickly. To do this we need to meditate and do mental exercises to make the mind stronger. Meditation is crucial to one’s mental ability. This is the way one learns how to concentrate, block out unwanted noises, keep the mind clear of intrusions and to imagine the impossible.
Knowledge.
The magic user must be able not only use magic but know the 3 parts of magic.
1) What is the first part. The magic user must know and understand what he or she wants to do with his or her magic.
2) Next come How. The magic user must know each step of the magic well enough to actually be able to visualize the magic being done in each step until it becomes as simple and routine as breathing.
3) When is the last part. To cast magic the magic user must know when each step should take place.

An example of this is putting your shoes on.
What would be the need to put on shoes to protect your feet from anything that would do them harm or make them uncomfortable, ect.
When would be like when you leave to go outside not before going to bed.
How would be putting them on your feet before tying them and to have the socks on before you put the shoes.

Your Future Career

“I know that none of you are thinking about your future career. But I want each of you to begin to think of what you think that you might like to do as an adult. In three short years, I will have a few specialized positions to give out. One will be Archives Specialist. I also will be sending out an Exploration Team. The Exploration Team will consist of a crew, Navigator, Astronomer and a Captain. I will also need a Governor for this Island.
What I would like for each of you to think of what you would like to be. Or what kind of magic you would like to use. There are many kinds of magic that I have not yet studied.
Each of you will need to get Personal Achievement Classes in. To pass the Personal Achievement Class, you must get a minimum of 15 points. These classes are designed to make you better-rounded person. One of the classes that you can take is Calligraphy and another one is Musical Instrument. These two classes are a semester long and have 5 points towards your Personal Achievement. Another one that you can take for 5 points is Auras Class and Magic Exploration. This is mostly an Independent Class. The only lecture that you will attend is the Introduction to Your Aura. The rest is Independent Study. There will be other ones such as Thought Transference Class which will be available in the future.

Rules

Here at Caldwell’s, we will have some rules to go by. Here are the ones that I have set up at this time.
1) Respect each other and yourself.
2) No dissing, put downs or negative thoughts or speech.
3) No fighting is allowed at all. You may be grounded and have your privileges revoked.
4) Try to include as many students as you can into your daily activities.
5) All students are required to be in class on and prepared to learn. That includes having your wand and PLTs as well as being able to demonstrate your homework or class work.
6) Pets are not always allowed in all classes. If they are not allowed, they are to be in your room.
7) Obey the curfew. No ifs, ands or buts about this. You may be grounded and have your privileges revoked.
8) Remember the golden rule:
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
9) Keep your rooms neat and tidy.
10) Keep yourself neat and tidy. Both of these rules pertain to professionalism.
11) Do your own work and do not try to cheat. The end of the semester you will go through a testing chamber by yourself.
12) If you act like a child, you will be put on a demerit/merit system until you can prove yourself to be professional magic user. You may be grounded and have your privileges revoked.
13) Ask questions and learn from other student’s mistakes. There are more than enough to go around!
14) I will make more rules as I see the need.

Virtual Tour

“Each block of rooms is enclosed for a reason. The reason is for the protection of young pets that will be with you frequently throughout the day. You are here in the Lecture Hall. There are two classrooms and a Magical Demonstration Lab. This area called Class Room Area.
The next area is Community Area. The Students Lounge, Dining Room and Library are located here as well as Spiral Staircase.
The Dining Room has 1 long table and I sit at the head while Thomas will sit at the foot. Food will appear on your table after I ring the bell.
The Students Lounge has various chairs, sofas and tables. On the buffet will be various foods that you may eat when you are hungry. You will be frequently hungry for magic will take a lot out of as well as the stress of what you are going through. Your pets will take a lot of care as well. You will not be pushed to do much the first 2 days besides moving in, getting to know each other, finding your way around the Academy, and learning about your chosen pet.
The far area is where you go for your Independent Labs or Independent Classes. Independent Lab In this room you will find scales, measuring tapes and testing equipment. This is where you will be for your independent study for Mythical Creatures Class. Of course I shall be around to assist you and answer any questions that you may have. I can offer various suggestions and tests to determine various things. But you must think of the idea. The reason is to make each of you think. This world will one day be expanding and you will be the ones who will be the explorers to new lands. One room is always locked until final tests are performed. That room is the Testing Lab.
The front area is the Entrance Area. I have my office there as does Thomas. The Infirmary is there as well.

The second floor is divided up into 2 sections. The first area is The Bedrooms. On the other side is the Game Room. There are many games in there that you might want to play in your spare time.
You may have any bedroom that you like. Your room is sentient as well and will recognize your Aura after you place your two hands on the handprints on the chosen door. You may go inside and see what I have done for you. All rooms are the same. Everything is in pale blue but later we shall go into town and pick out new things. You will have a list to fulfill and a specialized cart. The cart will have a special device that you will use to claim a cart. Again the process is the same as your PLTs.
As you place the items in the cart, just scan them. It will highlight the items as you scan them. The aisles will be placed by each item on the list. If you want an item that is not on the list just type it in the search bar. Anything that is related to the item will show up. On this trip, I am allowing you to have extra items and money free. After this you will be given an allowance to use for your own things. Yu don’t even have to return the cart for it will belong to you. After you get back you will park the cart in a parking spot assigned to you by the Castle. That spot will send the cart to your room. In your room is a small cart closet.



On the Roof are 2 Greenhouses and a center area for Meditation in good weather or for Sky Watch. ! Greenhouse will be used by you students and the other one is totally off limits because it is my Greenhouse. In that greenhouse are some experimental plants that are not to be disturbed so do not bother them.” Lady Violetta spoke very firmly on the last greenhouse.

[Rinion]

Rinion was happy about all the thing explained and especially about the pets and the Auras class, he worried about his career tho, he was thinking what person would hire a mental case like him for anything, and the expedition team sounded interesting but he was more of the meditating type not the fighting sort, but that doesn't mean u can walk all over him, if he snap's you will know about it. "l-lady violetta... when will we receive our pets? if y-you don't mind me asking" Rinion murmured only slightly louder that before.

[Aisling]

"After lunch we will have a final lecture before we go to the village to do some shopping. You will need quite a few things while you are shopping. One benefit of my school is that I will pay for your new things." Lady Violetta spoke.

[Rinion]

Rinion started to sweat but when lady violetta said she would pay he felt much better, he had only bought his bag and the clothes on his back, he didn't like going far from his safe place so he hoped somebody would keep an eye on him because he always had a problem with new places and people, but still even tho he was worrying he was also excited about getting a pet and mabey a wand.

Ayaka nodded at the answer she was given and started listening to the lecture which to her, was a lot to take in. She still had no idea exactly what type of magic she was interested in and Lady Violetta was already talking about careers. The exploration team sounded somewhat interesting though. It was good news to her that they were going to go shopping after lunch. She after all, didn't bring much with her. She looked over at the student who seemed nervous when he asked about the pets and wondered if he was always like that or just nervous about being in a new place.

[Rinion]

Rinion reached for his book once again but as he lent to the floor to reach his bag he crossed sight with a young girl, something was different about this girl and it wasnt until he properly looked that he realized she was wearing cat ears, maby it was her cute looks or maby that she had cat ears but something made Rinion blush.. but then it happened.. he ticked and when he saw that the young girl had probably seen him he quickly span his head away and punched the side of his temple, he was angry with himself, "now look wat you've d-done Rinion" he mumbled under his breath.."s-she probably thinks your insane".. he did the only thing he knew would help and started to scribble away in his trusty black cook.
