I don't know what it is, but something about her irritates me. Might be the two singles on the radio, but yeah, I thoroughly dislike what I've heard so far. She has a nice voice and I don't doubt she'll actually make a song I enjoy at some point, but so far she's 2 for 2 for doing shit in her songs I find obnoxious. In particular the lyrics for Royals and that deep voice repetitive crap in the other one.

Hated Royals, but I she came up on Spotify as a suggestion before I ever heard her radio runs. She actually has a few songs I dig. They walk that line between gritty punk-pop and whatever we'd label Lana Del Ray. I'd suggest giving her other work a listen, Team & Royals are poor examples of her work -- something the radio is aces about doing to artists.
