I think the worst part of the nicknames are that most aren't nicknames aimed at their good points, but nicknames aimed at their bad points.

Like how she will call Patricia 'Midget', Ki'Tann 'Grumpy' and so on.

Can't think of anything for Marissa and Azazel though. Hm...

Yeah, the big guy doesn't let much bother him and is just a go with the flow type with the exception of large bodies of water, which make him pretty skittish.

Not only nickname buddies but drinking buddies as well~

Seas, lakes, ponds, rushing water, you name it. Being caught up in that flash flood as a kid left some mental scarring. He's okay with shallow water but anything that would cause him to swim or for too much of his body to be submerged is a no go.

What about Adira? Does she have any fears?

Yeah, I guess that would have been pretty traumatic. Guess we'll just have to erase some trauma as the story progresses!

Well, she's scared of losing anyone else to the point where she doesn't want anyone getting close to her anymore. Hence, the nicknames. Instead of the purpose of it being given so it symbolizes how much one treasures the other, for her, not calling them by their names would make them nameless people in her life - unimportant to her.

And I imagine she would be denying attachment to the group even though deep inside, she knows she's growing closer.

Er, that was the whole 'broken down' thing that I plan on showing anyway.
