Oh god, I just read this LMFAO! I am the same way, Kill Bones--I'm lucky to draw a damn stick figure ROFL! Your use of the term "dump stat"...it makes me wonder if you play Fallout? I've heard that with other RPGs, but it seems more commonly related to the Fallout games xDI'd rather have drawing a dump stat than Intelligence :P

Why not have good Intelligence, drawing stats?I mean there are really no inhibitors to the bounds of human growth, unless you impose them upon yourself in the first place.

There is definite improvement between those drawings for sure, but you already started out pretty damn good. I think the drawing on the left is friggin great! So you already had a natural talent, it seems, and you just improved upon it! I am sure that I *could* improve my drawing to some extent, but I'll be honest. I'm a bit skeptical as to whether or not I could ever draw at the level of your 2014 drawing. I see drawings from people like you Cara or Exmedic and it's like...I seriously doubt that I could ever be THAT good. It just wasn't my gift--maybe I could improve, but I think I'd be doing good to make it to the average mark.

Name one example of something that holds any person back from learning any skill/subject. Again the only thing that I can see, is that people believe in these false road-blocks on the way to improvement, and just give up too early. Here's a personal example:I at art when I was young. I sucked at art until recently, as a matter of fact. Here's a picture showing the difference in my work from 2 years ago, and now.I just drew the newer version the other night, and while it still is pretty flawed, anyone with eyes can tell that I'm making headway in my efforts to become a better artist.I spent drawing crappy pictures, and feeling bad about my art until I got to the point where I could figure out what was wrong with it. Even then I still couldn't fix the problems no matter how hard I tried. I drew, and drew, and drew, to no avail. Eventually I got better at fixing things, but sometimes I still hit rough times when trying to fix my drawings. Had I given up though, I would never be at the level I am now. Obviously I still have a long way to go, but I firmly believe that if you practice something enough, you will improve at it.

I wasn't meaning skill/subject, so much as physical abilities which can effect the ability of a person to pursue something they desire. Genetics is a bitch yo. Someone born with a "Runners" frame, all lean, slow muscle, long limbs, etc, will hit a plateau in weight lifting long before someone genetically built with more explosive muscle, and a more compact, dense frame. Course, the muscle bound guy will never have the stamina, nor endurance (with as equal as possible training) as his opposite. In physical terms, there are limits. These limits can be pushed, yes. But never really broken.Mental limits, are as you say, just self-restrictions. I think I suck at drawing (course, other people see it differently). Could I practice my ass off at it and get better? Yes. If I felt like it, I could work my ass off, force myself to draw, etc, and become "Professional." But that's it: If I felt like it. My problem is: I've never liked something enough to feel like really learning it.

If I had a way to scan it in, Drakel, I'd do it. But I lack a scanner, and I don't have one of those pen tablet things--so I'd be stuck trying to use a mouse to do it in Photoshop. If I can dig out my scanner (it's packed up), I'll actually do this. I'm not opposed to showing my lack of drawing skills, I just have no way of showing you atm. Just try not to laugh to hard when I eventually *can*
