I tend to just go with this since Aladdin is my favorite Disney movie.

BUT, props to you for going the extra mile!
@Carantathraiel

Okay yours wins, hahaha.
Aladdin is a fantastic movie choice! I don't think I have a favourite Disney movie, though. Maybe Mulan?

@Carantathraiel Thank you!
I love it for the colors, romance, and magic. But Mulan is definitely one of my favorites still. "Make a Man out of You" is always classic, and all of the intense battle scenes.

I always favoured it because dragons and I had a thing for asian culture when I was little. Chinese history was all I paid attention to in grade school XD I was not a good student...

@Carantathraiel Same! Well, with Dragons and asian culture. Mostly because I was and am an anime fan, and Dragons because...well, Dragons. (I wasn't a good student either. I was much better in college)

Same, with the school. I mean, there were areas I was great at in school. Art, P.E, English, but i sucked arse at math and (most) history.

I like anime, but it didnt hit until high school. Bought my first manga, then! And it just sort of grew. Then, living in Japan, it got a bit worse, bwahaha.

@Carantathraiel LOL, I'm a history major.
I'm currently learning Japanese atm and I've gotten somewhat good, but I've never been to Japan. Let's just say I know about as much Japanese as I do Elvish (and Scots Gaelic) atm.

Ah! Lovely! That'll be exciting when you finally make it over there. Its so beautiful.
My husband was military, we lived in Germany and in Japan, and I speak more German than Japanese, but the amount is probably slightly more than elvish, as far as German goes. My husband speaks more Japanese than I do. He took classes for a few years prior just for fun.
I also took spanish for 4 years, and while english is my native tongue I do not speak it all that well..

You'll love it when you get there! I would return for a visit, but if given the choice I would move back to Germany.

@Carantathraiel I will probably visit Scotland again before then, or maybe go to Norway! After I finish learning Japanese, I'm likely learning Norwegian :) Germany does sound gorgeous though.

Oooh, Scotland was on my list of places to visit. We just never did. Rainry country, vulgar language, great alcohol... It sounds perfect!
I have a Danish buddy, as generally skeptical as he is he makes his country sound amazing. And I have another friend currently living in Norway. Oh, two friends living in Norway....
How did I collect so many friends?

Regardless, yes! Travel! See everything!

This is a topic I had not expected to ever return or see again. How long it has been in relative time.

Travel is amazing. But I think I'm done for now XD I've traveled too much, I'm ready to be a homebody.

It is good to see you again as well, @Carantathraiel. It sounds as though you had ample reason for your disappearance, which makes it all a bit more understandable in hindsight as to what went on since last we spoke. Surprisingly, that last comment is still relevant to this day. So for myself little has changed. Hopefully in your case matters are for the better.

I am pleased that it has all been for the better, hearing as much is rare now in my experiences with people, @Carantathraiel. That is news we could use more of as a whole, isn't it now? Perhaps I am emphasizing it too much or disappointingly I just so rarely hear it.

As for my business? Fate or divine providence had it that when I returned to one of the places I had said I would, to procure some artifacts and fossils, I found the exact person, at the exact place, at the exact time that I needed them. After a long, varied discussion with the naturalist on our sciences I procured exactly what I required and had not found during my return visit to La Brea or several related sites. The real emphasis of this story is the fact that I found them at all dealing their wares just as they had attempted to vanish from their store due to bad experiences for the day; they are an eccentric, albeit enlightened spirit and dealing with the public is not their forte, rather desiring the field. Fortunately I am difficult to forget, according to them and others, and they made a particular exception to reopen briefly for the meeting and acquisition.

My other acts of late were spending some time with a lovely leopardess, several actually, and having a conversation with them. Same can be said for a tiger although it was brief in his case; his mate called him back when we were meeting due to the arrival of people and her wild-born tendencies to avoid them. No lions, other than the mountain lion who shared some muttering and purring, two jaguars being conditioned to sharing space near one another, a talkative jungle cat - very opposed to company I might add - as well as that of a lynx and bobcat. Frankly all the rest were busy, but I did acquire a historic chart of the feline lineages in the process so no real loss there.

Come to think of it, the past few weeks have been a great amount of business, to include holiday reintroduction to family and being swamped by curious children.

That is wonderful! You do amazing work. You get to do so much with such magnificent creatures.
The holiday part, though, hehe! I havent been around my own family in years for the holidays. Just my inlaws. No children present, yet. I hope it wasn't too stressful for you!

I certainly do have fantastic opportunities, all of which are just fated that way, be them what it is I do or those things I get brought into. The holidays being an example of that but it was none too awful, just noting the issues in the discipline of some children and that, despite knowing me, even having seen me, nothing but wonder; play was plentiful, but fortunately they still respected the presence of authority. I like to think in the brief time I was there we ironed out some of the habits their parents could not control, but who knows? It may have been unofficial work while the others enjoyed themselves but it was an interesting experience all the same for myself.
