Threads get locked in out of character chat automatically after a set amount of time idle, yeah. So I'm not sure if this will be able to run in a way that skirts that.

I talked to Mahz about lessening the restrictions on off topic in the manner of the “idle locks” and he seems to be considering it. I doubt this will really allow for a longer period of inactivity for those who are interested [it might make people more active], but it’s something.

Any idea on How much inactivity it takes to trigger a lock @Inkarnate?
