The last thing you remember, you were falling. When you open your eyes, you're laying in a soft pile of brightly colored, soggy pillows. You're in a little room with intricately patterned metal walls and a ceiling made of water. There doesn't seem to be a door, but there is a cat. The cat stares up at you with a bright-eyed grin and says, "Hi! Are you okay? That was a big fall! Welcome to Compass District One, visitor! I'm Howl. What's your name?"
The Premise
The Realm of Compass is not as fantastic and wonderful as it once had been. Gray and rust have befallen the spirits here, who seem to have forgotten the laughter and whimsy of their previous lives -- until a curious diver finds an old ruin and starts pushing buttons. Old machines whirr to life, the water lifts away to the ceiling, and children start dropping out of it. Curious, indeed. Even curiouser is the fact that these children are brighter, more hopeful, more imaginative than anything the Realm has known in a very, very long time.
Gameplay
As the characters traverse the world, they'll be asked to assist in the dilemmas of the spirits that live here. We'll focus heavily on little side-quests and branching storylines. Characters will each begin alone in the scenario italicized above, though their stories will likely intersect -- and affect and be affected by -- the other characters' stories. The ultimate goal is to find the way home.
Some Notes
You may spot some obvious nods to Alice in Wonderland, OFF!, Undertale, Homestuck, Okami, Inside, One Shot and Fallen London. If something looks ripped off, it probably is.
My RPs tend to follow a pattern: it's crazy in the beginning, it slows down to a comfortable pace after two weeks, and after a month there are a few days between each post. After two months, a post is a rare thing that happens once in awhile. Please be prepared for these phases of slowing activity, and don't panic. The RP is not dead as long as there is interest in it.

- The environment, the NPCs and the entirety of the plot are the sole ownership of the GM.
- The OOC shall remain a positive and encouraging place where everyone feels welcome.
- The GM's PM box should be freely utilized for any and all problems that arise.
- A disruptive player will receive one PM as warning. If ignored, the player will be asked to leave.
- The GM has the right to reject any application based on its compatibility with the RP.
- Collaborative posts shall be limited to two players.
- At any time, if you find that this RP just isn't for you, please do let us know. :)
