Not the best title in the world, I know, but I don't have an idea for just any one roleplay. In fact, I have several. But before I just post them out there, hoping to get interest in at least one of them, I wanted to run my ideas through you guys first and get a general idea of what people might be in the mood for.
X-Men Noire - @Ghost Shadow @Vicier Set in an alternate universe, the roleplay takes place just after WW2. Charles, Erik and Logan have recently come together and have decided to build a school for young mutants. Only problem is, the world is still recovering from the war, so they have to settle on turning an old, abandoned bar into some kind of school. Will accept both canon and original characters. Would also be looking for someone to play Erik and Charles, as I will be taking on Logan.
Marvel Universe - This one would be more heavily based on using canon characters. I like the idea of a civil war between the two factions, but as a huge comic book nerd, the movie just blew through it much too quickly. This roleplay would showcase the struggles each side has to endure every day in order to achieve what it is that they want. Not to mention, Nick Fury has gone missing (again) when both sides needed him most.
DC Universe - @Ghost Shadow This one is probably the least fleshed-out out of all of them. Anyone ever play Injustice? Something like that. Something that pulls all of the DC heroes and villains together for quite the "party." In fact... this one might just be a sandbox. Get some characters going and just see what happens. As much as I love Suicide Squad, I'm a little burnt out on just that one story-line. Not saying the Suicide Squad couldn't be in it, but having it more open I feel would be better for others that might want to play a hero, or a Teen Titan, and so on.
Harry Potter Post War - So Voldemort is dead, Harry Potter is probably in his fifties, and the whole Wizarding World is safe for the rest of life itself. Um... no. Pretty sure some other Wizard is going to come along and try to finish what Voldemort started. Maybe a grandson of one of the Death Eaters? Maybe just another young boy in school that took his learning the wrong way. Either, or, the Ministry had better be prepared which means Aurors. Maybe the Aurors aren't allowed to talk about a new rise of power. Maybe they have to meet in secret much like how the Order did. Maybe the Ministry got lazy and decided that they don't need anyone to protect them anymore if there isn't a threat, and disbanded the job altogether until they realize that they were wrong and have to pull what Aurors they can out of retirement. Endless possibilities here, folks!
The Tales of New Ancora - @Mach2 @Gonzo @Ghost Shadow Definitely a sandbox roleplay where a lot of inspiration came from the video game Deus Ex. Set in the future, New Ancora is divided up into different districts. Whatever district you are from, basically explains your social status. Robots are a thing, cybernetics are a thing, the drug cartel is definitely a thing... The only thing is, is that no one has ever really been outside of New Ancora, and no one ever really comes in. So what is beyond their beautiful city, anyway? And what is the Government hiding?
Incarceron - Aliens. Basically, think The Hunger Games and Mass Effect and mix them together. I thought of this quite a number of years ago where Bounty Hunter's are tasked to go to any and all planets in their universe and abduct different alien species and races throughout the galaxy, putting them on one planet where they are to survive by any means necessary for general entertainment for the mass government.
Streets on Fire - @Blitz A rather simple one, this has to do with a territory war. Two gangs rule the city, but never get along. Pick a side and see how quickly you'll get your ass beat (haha jk). Mostly open-world, this roleplay has to do with the struggles of maintaining your own turf without stirring up any trouble. Unless you're a trouble-maker, of course, and can't help but to poke the bear.
Anyway, just a few suggestions to get a general consensus amongst you guys. Got any ideas of your own to throw into one of these? Great! Let me know! I could use a co-GM or two.
And those of you who I tagged, I wanted to make sure you were involved even if you don't particularly want to or have the time to roleplay. Some of these are rehashes that you were involved with at one time. I don't want anyone thinking I'm stealing their work.
