V I T A L S
Sania was born in a small village of unremarkable reputation sixteen years ago. Throughout her life she has tried to live by her moral compass, though that has put her against The Imperium’s interests; an unhealthy consequence.

D E S C R I P T I O N
To describe Sania briefly would not be very difficult given the fact that she isn’t very nuanced when it comes to the depths of her personality.

Beyond all of Sania’s kindness and polite manner stands a girl who is the very definition of meek, shy, and reluctant. This isn’t particularly because she lacks any form of courage but rather that she lacks the confidence to be assertive, flirtatious, or prideful in any situation. It is due to this that her innate talent in magic may be seen as redundant because she is so cautious to the point of hesitating and second-guessing herself and the situation; especially when it comes to a scenario where she needs to act swiftly. Ultimately, Sania is very well aware she needs to be brave and be better than she is but the truth of the matter is that she struggles to want to; she’d rather someone think her cowardly or pathetic than see her as evil, dangerous, and threatening— she doesn’t want to be villainized and hated.

C A R E E R & H I S T O R Y
Sania was born in a small village of unremarkable reputation sixteen years ago, though she admittedly knew very little of her parents— a fact that was due to their disappearance before Sania was old enough to walk. In her parents stead Sania was raised by an old eccentric wizard named Belchardt Akranos, the only noteworthy individual who took residence in the small village at the time; a man whom Sania would recognize as her guardian. It would be relatively early in her life where she would discover her innate magical abilities; a discovery that would change her relationship with Akranos from foster daughter to student. But her tutelage was not conventionally legal due to the laws of the Imperium, though it wasn’t exactly for this reason that Sania’s idyllic life would come to an end.

The phrase “magic attracts magic” is very old and very true— and Sania would witness it when demonic abominations set their sights on her unremarkable village. The resulting battle between Akranos and the demons would result in the near destruction of her home and the loss of her mentor, though she struggles with remembering it in perfect clarity. The surviving villagers branded her a witch, cried for the Imperium, and Sania fled the village in fear for her own life. Following her fearful escape from a place she once deemed her home she now found herself a homeless nomad, travelling place to place trying to survive by any means necessary whether it was stealing food or scavenging what she could. She was twelve years old.

Eventually she found herself being discovered by someone who offered her shelter. But more importantly what she was offered was a new home and a new family—The Resistance against the Imperium.

A T T R I B U T E S
Arcane Abilities:
    PRODIGIUM MAGUM
    Sania was born with a potent connection to the magical ether, the lifeblood of the phenomenon that creates magic. As such Sania can be classified as a “prodigium”, the special caste of magi that require no scientific education or artifacts to channel their magic. If they will it, it is so. It is due to this that Sania can be seen as a threat as not only are prodigium rare, but they are also often much more powerful than those of a similar age and experience from the opposing castes of spellcasters.

    MAGICAL PHYSIOLOGY
    A magi’s connection to the ether allows them great benefits, including endurance from the elements and a evolved immune system. It is due to this one can presume Sania has more fortitude and stamina than a mundane individual.

    ETHER ELEMENT: WATER
    Of the five elements, Sania gravitates towards the element of water and as such has full reign on manipulating it through her magical abilities. This extends to manipulating and creating the element.

    FROST MAGI
    Sania’s elemental prowess with her chosen element also allows her to control the temperature of it, often preferring to freeze it to create sheets of ice to protect her allies from harm. Other applications include freezing the wet surface for movement and sending bolts of frozen water at her enemies.

Mundane Abilities:
    WEAPON PROFICIENCY: STAFF
    Sania was trained to use her staff in close quarters combat should the need arise.

    STEALTH
    Sania had to be quiet and aware of her surroundings when she was younger to survive following her exile from her village.

Special Inventory:
    NOMAD STAFF
    Crafted by her foster father, Akranos, Sania has utilized her staff for many years. Whilst seemingly mundane it is actually inscribed with magical glyphs that serve as a rudimentary foci. Despite drawing her magic from her natural connection instead of foci, this does help her direct her magic as well as utilize the staff as a weapon that can project magical energies with little adverse effects.

Short Description:

Aer Pacifica was a young street rat that was plucked off a street in the country of Gillia. Rather than imprison her, the government saw fit to use her talents in Gillia's most elite fighting force: The Battle Mages.

Personality:

Aer is the pinnacle of obedience, tempered by a militaristic training regimen. She is stern and serious, and speaks few words. Pacifica is the ideal soldier... but only when her superior's eyes are upon her.

Aer loves to talk, make crude jokes, and let her wit fly even with complete strangers. She's almost always in high spirits, even in the face of danger. Such is the life of an adventurer, to face each challenge with the broad smile of determination.

While Aer is a social creature, she does hold the belief that everyone more or less looks out for themselves. And she knows that she is no different. Pacifica will not go out of her way to harm perfectly innocent people, nor will she stand by idly if there's something that can be done. But her own survival is paramount.

History:

Aer was born into a poor family in the slums. She was an amber child, which is a condition brought on by having a parent exposed to certain magical machines. Her parents were both employed, but couldn't provide for their clutch of eight children. Most of them were orphans that they welcomed into their home. With no jobs available to her, and unable to sustain herself on what others threw away, Aer became a thief to provide for her ever growing family. She learned how to steal, fight, and play dirty in her unforgiving environment. But cunning and careful as she may have been, the authorities only have to catch you once...

For most, Gillia's jails would have been a death sentence. But the government was more interested in her magical powers. Rather than make an example of the thief, they offered her a spot among their elite: the battle mages. Aer had no reasonable alternate options, so she took their offer. Surely being a legal slave was a better fate than rotting away in a jail cell. Aer has completed her training, and is now off to to show everyone the might of Gillia's empire.

Magic:

Most of Aer's magic stems from "Molecular Manipulation." Particularly the ability to accelerate and decelerate molecules. By making molecules move faster, Aer causes things to heat up. She can even make molecules move fast enough that it rips apart the fabric of the atoms, creating an explosion. By slowing down molecules, Aer can cause an object to cool. Aer can apply these effects near herself or any of her enchanted gear*. With a catalyst, Aer gains even greater control over her magic by also being able to manipulate heat in a more direct way. Aer's catalysts are capable of creating flames, and can manipulate the movement of flames and heated objects as long as it's near one of her catalysts. Aer does not have to be touching a catalyst in order to cast spells from it, but spells can only come out of a catalyst from a specific face. for clarity, spells can only be launched from the staff at either end, the palms of the battle gloves, and the bottom of her shoes. However, attacks that involve explosions and the like can radiate out at all angles.

*All of Aer's gear, from her earnings to her boots, are enchanted.

In layman's terms: Aer can heat, explode, and cool objects that are near Aer or her enchanted items, and can cast fire spells from her catalysts.

Abilities:

Rogue: Aer had very humble beginnings, and underhanded tactics were necessary to survive. Aer possesses all the tools of a thief, from knowing how to move undetected, slight of hand, agility, etc.

Gillian staff Maiden: Aer took her training very seriously, and has become one with her staff. She has two primary staff styles. One is an offensive style where the staff is held closer at the end. (like chinese whip-staff style, wushu) and a more defensive style where the staff is held in the middle. (Like Korean Taekwondo)

Equipment:

Due to the nature of Aer's magic, she requires artifacts to utilize it to its full potential.

Jubilation Staff: The staff is light and durable. the jewels on either end act as catalysts.

Gillian Battle mage Uniform: While it doesn't offer much physical defense, it is light and sewn with magical thread that resist extreme temperature change, like from Aer's spells.

Battle Caster Gloves: Resists temperature change and can also act as a catalyst for spells.

Battle Caster Boots: Can walk even on lava, but one has to be careful not to sink! can also act as a catalyst for spells..

Cute Red Purse: A cute red purse that looks like a cat.

Enchanted Coins: Enchanted coins that are stowed in Aer's cute red purse. The coins have a hole in the center.

Enchanted Ribbon: A ribbon Aer keeps in her cute red purse. It's long and soft, and strung threw a few enchanted coins.

Ugly Brown Purse: A purse filled with dirt. "I've got a jar of dirt, and guess what's inside it?"
