"We’ll be flying through the streets with the people underneath"
— Halsey, Young GodThey say you don’t choose the ones you love. They say that the heart wants what it wants. Well, this is especially true for Alexandros Stefano Mossos and Audrey Elizabeth Huntsberg. Two colorful personalities who are drawn to each other in one way or another. They are both the best - and worst - for each other. Toxic right down to the core, this is not a story of fairy tail romance. This is a story of hatred, of betrayal, and of revenge.
And yet, through it all, despite know they are totally wrong for each other, the two can’t deny the magnetic pull between them. It is electric. But for the two stubborn forces unwilling to yield, it’ll be a rough, uphill battle to what would eventually become their life.
They are the crooked young and their love is nothing like fairy tales. It is one of tactics. It is a love like war.
The World
Crooked Young takes place in the Beverly Hills region of Los Angeles, California, and it set in the latter-half of the year 2016. It follows Alexandros Stefano Mossos and Audrey Elizabeth Huntsberg and their families as they endure their senior year of high school. Eventually, it’ll lead them into an undeniable attraction to each other, though which will be tested at every angle and every turn they take in their final year of high school.
The Characters
In this roleplay, there will be a colorful cast of characters that will include the friends and associates of the two main characters, as well as the members of the Mossos and Huntsberg families. We will follow these characters, be it the high school students that find themselves friendly with Alexandros and/or Audrey, their relatives, or simply anyone in between.
The Theme
The largest, overarching theme of Crooked Young is, without a doubt, “a game of cat and mouse”. Both parties involved in this back-and-forth tango of “whodunit” will do everything they can to one-up each other. It might lead to heartbreak, public humiliation, and even cause danger to their well-being. There will doubtless be personal strife and borderline reputation-ruining antics. But at the end of it all, it will bring the toxic forced together. Just how far will they be willing to go until they get from point a to point b?
