Name: Praetornex
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown, but several centuries old at least.
Species: Dragon
Personality: Being an elder of his kind, Praetornex is desensitized to the novelties of the world due to having seen much already. His experience makes him capable while his counsel to his rider and ilk contain nuggets of wisdom rather than speculation. Though slow to temper, Praetornex holds great wrath for those that do him harm, his possessions, and his rider. While violence is a decision he can make at any moment, counsel and diplomacy is his default mode of operation.
Bio: Praetornex forgot his origins, a haziness shrouding his years as a mere hatchling. Hailing from the far south, he recalled leading his ilk against human masters that sought to harvest dragon scales for clothing and armor. Though the wrath of the dragons were felt by the humans, it was a pyrrhic victory that caused his kind to flee the south.
With those that chose to follow him, Praetornex led his kin to the northern lands where flame was tempered by tundra. It was here that he learned to co-exist with humans. As powerful as dragons may be, humans were numerous. To stir the hive was to invoke a wrath his kin could ill afford again. In time, distaste for humans changed to mutual respect as he saw that not all humans were as vein as the ones from the south. Even though his dragons consented to take on a rider from these northerners, it was a necessity in the beginning, a bond over time.
With his blood cooling from the fire he felt when he was younger, Praetornex has accepted the tranquility of peace. However, if violence should be needed again, violence his foes shall have.
