Jenneva leaned in, possibly uncomfortably close to the man called Jane. "Did... did you say 'flamethrowers'?" she asked, a light in her eyes that was akin to that one might see in a cat's eyes as they chased a mouse.

"Well, you might think that'd be hard to find, but--"

@JBRam2002
Jane blinked, stopping in his tracks for a moment. He hesitated, then slowly leaned back and coughed through his nose. "I did, yes. Why don't I... just set you up with one of those and please for the love of God be careful with it."

He took a quick step back, turned around and spoke into his radio for a few moments. An instant later, the requested weapons materialized behind him -- a double-barreled, lever-action shotgun and a clearly cobbled-together flamethrower powered by a propane tank and a pilot light, with a stylized nozzle meant to resemble the head of an angry dragon.

"You might wish to be careful with any of these." The animal's concern became voiced, noting how they became wild with excitement not just from the humble yet ornate tea hats but the various assortment of weapons Jane had repeatedly proven capable of conjuring. Its rounded ears soon drew back at the man's warning, both sentiments echoing one another and almost in time together.

The positive aspect was that now they had the means to, more practically at least, do something about the threats that seemed ever present in this unusual place. The less positive one being that arming someone as potentially unstable as Junko might not have been the wisest of decisions made today, but there was little to be done beyond that. At least the pyromancer had something familiar, that was promising.

Junko looked between the two woman, their shotgun and flamethrower, and then back at he baseball bat.

“On second thought...” Junko paused for a moment. “If you have anything that fires reasonably far and is easy to handle, I'd go for that. Also, you can put it all on my debit card. I'm good for it.” The fashionista reached into her shirt pocket. “If you're good, I'll even give you an autograph!” She said this while pulling out a tube of lipstick. Though the fashionista wasn't waiting around anymore. She had places to be, and deadlines to just barely miss. But just barely. The school girl skipped her way over to a jungle of all things, and pushed aside some foliage. Just beyond the brush was a bridge that ran over a ravine. It was about fifty feet across, and at least twice as deep. The bridge was a bit old, as in only a single, frayed rope remained. The floor boards had all fallen into the river a long time ago. “Oh Bogus!” Junko let her bat slide off of her shoulder before shouting over her shoulder. Her "adventuring party" was still in earshot. “Seems like we can't shoot our first problem away!”

As the red coated pyromancer, lahima girl, Junko, The Harbinger, and a burly yet shy man coversed, the smol snake noticed the comical grim reaper appear near the group. Didnt he colect the soul of the snek's previous owner?

Suddenly, the smol snake's atention turned to a little grey rat. Lowering their head, they creept to their prey, before shooting twords it like a bullet.

"Uh... yeah." Jane inhaled sharply, closed his eyes and balled his hand into a fist. After a long, long moment, during which time he began to visibly if not audibly count to himself, he slowly exhaled and moved on.

@BrokenPromise
"...Okay. Sure. I... have an SMG. Best I can do for now." Jane quickly voiced a command into the radio, and a few moments later an SMG materialized in front of Junko. "I'll see about getting you something more powerful later.

After a moment, Jane came to the edge of the ravine and looked down. "...Oh, hell. I... don't think I could make that jump, no. Well, maybe if-- actually, no, wait." He spoke into the radio for a moment, and a few moments later two strange items appeared in front of him -- a green parachute with several decals on it and what appeared to be the mutant love-child of a shoulder-mounted RPG and a traffic cone. Jane caught the RPG in one hand and the parachute in the other. The tip of the rocket launcher fell swiftly to the ground, but Jane quickly slung on the parachute. He then picked up the rocket launcher, backed up and took a long, deep breath. "I can do this," he said, more trying to convince himself than the rest of the group. After a long, long moment, he sprinted forward, leapt into the air and fired the rocket launcher at his feet. Against all odds, the rocket launcher propelled him high into the air and across the ravine, swiftly and easily but not nearly swift enough to get him across. At the apex of his jump, Jane reached back and pulled his ripcord, and his parachute deployed, sending him drifting lazily across the ravine. "Oh, thank God. I will be fine!" he shouted over his shoulder."

@ArenaSnow
"The rest of you," he added, waving at the several-stories-high robot with his free hand, "will have to find another way across!"

"well I have nothing better to do right now I guess ill see where this ragtag group will go" sans said as the scythe now floated halfway across the ravine

The battlemech leaned up and followed the group, presumably in pursuit of his yet unseen spheroid foes. The pilot within checked sensor readings and found no such enemy of note as the mech "followed" at a very slow (slightly faster than the party) pace. Unfortunately, the school did not survive the encounter.

The loudspeaker clicked on as the pilot looked at the ravine. "This is a summoner chassis! You think a ravine will stop me?" The mech backed up, practically vanishing out of sight before charging forwards at great speed. Shortly before the mech would plummet into the ravine, massive jump jets fired from the mech's rear torso, thrusting the unit up in the air and easily over the ravine. The mech landed, the impact causing a boom and earthquake, as well as the swift demise of a half dozen unfortunate trees. The mech stood, twisting slightly, as though nothing had ever happened.

Junko groaned as the ground beneath her feet shook. She was under a hundred pounds and very top heavy. Naturally she fell forward into the foliage. It was fortunate that the brush was here to break her fall, and she wasn't looking over the edge of the ravine... At least the engine wash from the jump jets didn't mess up her hair.

"Well, it would have been nice if we could all cross together... but there may be an advantage to having a few people waiting on the other side." the fashionista tore a large leaf off of a plant and made herself a makeshift sling for the SMG. "This small stretch of jungle has a few trees, some vines, and all kinds of good stuff. We can probably make something to cross without much difficulty." It was at this point Junko took note of the short skeleton standing on a scythe. "You can fly? I don't suppose you'd be interested in helping the rest of us cross, would you?

It seems death itself was paying them a visit for no other reason than in the hopes that someone would fail to find their way across. As quickly as he had appeared and conversed, he soon drifted comfortably away on his scythe as though it were gondola; completely uninhibited by what came after in the form of the armored construct hurling itself over the ravine, still lazily drifting on. It was in Jane's favor the giant metal figure missed him and slid to a stop well past, crushing trees in the process.

"Alternatively..." The tremendous feral beast neared Junko, looking over the expanse and gap before them, "I can see you to the other side."

The mysterious animal, as one would expect of a cat, never revealed quite how it intended to do that. Outwardly the remark seemed... implausible, to put it politely. There was neither hide nor hair of evidence to suggest it could, but thus far it had proved trustworthy enough. Which was to say that unlike most big cats, his reactions were guided by a bit more than extinct and instead some greater gnosis. This still failed to resolve how it would do that.

"If you wish me to take you there, all you need do is lay a hand on me."

@ArenaSnow"i hope no one was in the school if they where paps is gonna have his hands full." sans said looking back at the now rubble of a school caused by the giant mech

@BrokenPromise "heh sure if it keeps me from doing my job, but the question is do I want to scare you all before I help you or not" sans said as he floated back over to the group with the fashionista, the lion, and the sneks. He shrugged lazily as his right eye seemed to emit a small flame. suddenly a seemingly alive dragon skull appeared at the edge of the ravine in front of the fashionista. It was big enough to fit them all on it and float across. "hop on" sans said floating above it.

@Blueflame@The Harbinger of Ferocity Junko looked at the floating scull.

"Oh, I wish it was that easy to bring me to despair." She placed her hand on the rim of her hat and looked between the Harbinger of Ferocity and the gaster blaster. "But adventure is all about chaos isn't it? The unseen twists and turns before arriving at your destination. So I will always make the most interesting choice, which is the one I have the hardest time predicting the outcome. How beneficial the choice is to me is entirely inconsequential." The fashionista extended her hand over the sabertooth's ribs. "It doesn't bring me any pleasure to do this, by the way. You're probably going to get pet dandruff all over me, however..." She lowered her hand into the feline's soft fur. "...Regardless of what happens to me, It's been fun."

The contact the girl's hand to the beast's side was brief.

So brief at that, that she had already found herself there. For the outside observers a faint ethereal mist swirled to life from one place and existed the same in another, the latter being across the ravine and the former being where they stood. So far and so fast did the pair travel, in between that moment of realization by others that something had even happened, that they had arrived. What naturally followed was the fading of the spectral atmosphere thereafter, chill mists returned to their place in the world beyond.

The ancient being simply walked away at that point without another word to Junko, seeing itself over to Jane and still unaffected despite its dense fur and enormous size in the heat of this jungle.

The fashionista looked at her hand briefly before letting it fall to her side. "You're actually a lot cooler than you let on, Harbinger of Ferocity. Even if your name is misleading." Junko seemed to have settled into this personality for a really long time. Not that the past minute was a very long time for anything. But with her switching up her behavior every few seconds, this might have stood out. Of course the Harbinger of Ferocity had been around the school girl the longest out of all the adventurers, which only amounted to a few minutes. It would be impossible for anyone to determine which behavior was more "normal" for the girl. "Okay, I think since we are momentarily split up, we should totally gossip about the others!" Junko giggled while following the big cat. "Jenneva totally winked at me! I was going to wink back but I didn't want to start anything. There's a boy in my class who cross dresses." Junko looked back at her school. "Well, we might get redistributed now, but..."

Jane somehow managed to drift across the ravine properly, and was even caught by a sudden updraft coming from the deep chasm below. He swooped higher into the air, somehow maintaining his balance, and then kept going for a considerable distance. Too far, in fact. He drifted through the air slowly, almost lazily, and anyone with eyes could see what was about to happen. Jane kicked his feet semi-randomly, waving his free arm and not even bothering to aim his rocket launcher any more, spluttering a long series of distressed sounds that never quite managed to become words until, eventually, his parachute caught in the branches of a tree several feet above the jungle floor, leaving him stranded.

Jane yelled something that may have shared a common ancestor with English, flailed his arms and legs wildly, and then slowly stopped doing that. After a moment or two, he looked around, then hung his head and let out a low, wordless moan, hanging limply from the tree like a sad, heavily armed piñata.

"If I state everything there is to know, then there exist no more mysteries." Said the beast to Junko, before her tangential ways bloomed again and off she went into conversation.

Remaining quiet, only proving to nod from time to time where appropriate, the sabertoothed giant attempted to follow the flight path that led beyond the ledge he had brought their pair too. He came to a halt only when it was clear their lofty, parachute-bound soldier became stuck in one of the many trees. It was now the big cat turned about to look over its shoulder, awaiting the rest of the company to come. It then followed with a turn and proved to watch their efforts; if need be it knew it could facilitate their way across, but that was only best in a case where it needed to be done.
