Deadpixel101's characters:
Name:
Vindi B. Volant
Age:
23
Gender:
Male
Race:
Moth-Folk
Skills:
Skilled in Magi-tech engineering. A good runner and flyer, although not much in the strength or flexibility department. A decent marksman. Not a good cook per say but it's edible at least. He has a knack for flower arranging. He also tends to have a knack for getting a decent sale. Actually, he's a decent businessman all around.
Abilities:
Has dipped his fingers in all three forms of power available to him. That of magi, technology and telekinesis. Instead of excelling in one of these three areas, he tends to over lay them and combine them to level the playing field. Either using technology to enhance his other two powers, or one of the other two to enhance his inventions, he is an entity within his own class. His magic tends to be based on the four elements, as they are simpler to learn then more complicated schools. He employs tech for all manners of things, although when it comes to combat he is a medium ranged fighter, using run-n-gun tactics. He also tends to use rather dangerous technology, integrating directly with his own body at times. With telekinesis he is able to move smaller things with his mind, albeit with great velocity. Combining a wall of teleketnitcally and magically moved air he can create shapes of "hard" air essentially.
Personality:
Vindi is a somewhat stubborn person. He tends not take anything at face value and is usually suspicious of things. He can considered analytical but really he just tends to overthink things. He's smart, but not without it's downfalls. His emotions are always tempered by thought, but sometimes too much, and he doesn't show how feels. This can lead to him internalizing things poorly, and making up facts to fill whatever his emotions don't. He has a sort of inferiority complex, where he acts more confident then he is. Often boasting he can accomplish things he might not able to. When going into things he can either overthink, or rely on that fact, and not think enough. Finding a balance is an issue for him in more ways then one. He tends to favor certain people or things, and enjoys routine as well. For someone who literally has wings, he doesn't spread his figurative ones that often. Often needing outside sources to actually push him into action, he will plan and plan until the moments passed if something scares him, and while he doesn't like to admit it, he holds a great attachment to the people he actually gets close to.
Items:
Being sent recently to a small coast-side town, he has had to pack up his belongings. Most of which ended up being his workshop parts. His main joy and passion in his life he was stalwart in taking as much of it as he could with him, but of course 90% of had to be left behind. Likely confiscated by the armed forces of the area. Luckily most of his smaller completed machines could be brought along, as well as his tools. It just means he has to start collecting parts again. With him he has a pair of shock gloves that are also inscribed magically to enhance elemental control. His glasses frames serve to enhance his telekinetic powers. He has a small collection of bombs of his own design, which are charged magically to release a spell placed in them. Other then weaponry and gadgets he has his very limited wardrobe, some non-perishable food and a pack of cigarettes. As well as his savings of course. He was always sort of a minimalist when it came to possessions beyond his workshop.
Bio:
He was living closer to Zerzura in recent years, though before that he had spent time in Arcadia itself. In both places he studied, learning in part something from each side. He had always found the contrast odd, and had hoped for a long time the trade relations would maybe lead to a union of the two city-states, but alas here we are. An engineer of sorts he had lived with his family until he was just old enough to move out. He's spent the last few years alone, not making many true friends because of his nature to move often and talk little. Now he is left in the middle of nowhere, where armed conflict is likely to start, with many people he didn't know, and little of his belongings. He's debating on either getting involved politically, or simply making a run aybfor it. Me hop onto a ship with the last of his savings and end up in a more peaceful country. Actually, moving countries sounds like a lot of work, screw that.
Name:
Yvette VonGrippa
Age:
93
Gender:
Female
Race:
Dhampire (Half Human/ Half vampire)
Skills:
Captain, helmsman, sniper, master-planer, swordsman, gunsmith, and could probably drink you under the table. She seems fated to live at sea. Also. A surprisingly good singer.
Abilities:
An employer of self empowering magic, as well as a form of mystical shamanism. Summoning specters of the dead to do her bidding, though usually this just means occupying small fries, so that she may permit a fair duel. Beyond this she also equips herself with a selection of advanced weaponry. A tech blaster, an enchanted cutlass, and a heavily customized extremely long range sniper rifle. She is also able to blend easier into the shadows, due to her ancestry.
Personality:
A commanding and proud person, Yvette knows what she wants and she goes to get it. She hates wishy washy people and will decide on things as best she can in a quick manner. An improviser, she knows how to act before thinking. That being said, if she has ample time then she is a rather good strategist. Either planning out a battle or a heist, she's good to have on your side. She is confident, and while she isn't going to pull you over to brag, she does tend to bring conversations back around to herself. A passionate and prideful person she doesn't let an insult slide, and won't afraid from a fight. Her own freedom is a high value of hers, and any movement to restrict her will be met with opposition. When she takes interest in a person she tends to challenge them, hoping to make them better then they are. She also expects something similar in return. Selfish and overbearing, she also understands the power in subtlety, and is often duplicitous in nature.
Items:
Her weapons, clothes, a large wealth of coin, a bag with her spyglass, some rope, rations, her journals, her medicine, some gems and jewelry, as well as a fancy old watch. Most of her belongings where stored on her ship's quarters.
Bio:
Yvette refuses to talk about her early life. Every time someone asks, they are met with a different answer, or deathly glare. Some remarks about a horrible father, some about an insane younger brother, some about a botched wedding, some about a band of slavers, some about political subterfuge. Really it's all a big jumble of ornery stories that are as likely to be true as they are to be folly. What is known is that she bought a small ship upfront at a dockyard, sailed it out for months, and returned with a galleon and crew. She began to terrorize the coasts of Lemuria, cutting off trade ships, robbing cities blind, laying waste to certain temples and religious dwellings. She racked up a bounty quite quickly, and seemed to revel in the attention she received. Her actions became more aggressive against the authorities, even going so far to mount assaults at ships from Zerzura and Arcadia head on. This was her key mistake. She did not over-estimate the strength she held, either personally or in her crew. Though she did their faith and allegiance. After too many risky ambushes and actions, Yvette was mutinied upon. Thrown onto a rock hardly above sea level with just her bag of equipment and no ammo, she was tied and gagged. Drugged too she figured. There was little chance they would have won a fair fight. For a day she regained her senses and pooled her mana. Once she had her full faculties under wraps, she was out of those chains in no time. Unable to see the coast (as they had failed to leaver her scope or spyglass in her care) she was at a loss of direction. So she flipped a coin three times. Once to settle on forward or back. A second to decide on left or right, and then a third between the outcomes of the last flips. And so she swam. After arriving upon shore, batterd hardly breathing and many pounds lighter, she was taken in temporarily by a gentleman in passing. She stayed with him for a week, before slipping out the window. While the man was rich, he was not fool enough to turn away such a large bounty. And she was back where she began. On foot she made her way to the large city in the center of Lemuria. There she would settle for a time. The law would not chase her here, and soon she would begin to search. She'd find each man who betrayed her yet, and she would remind them to outright shoot her next time they get the chance. As well as the fact, that they will not get such a chance. Heading to a small coastal town of Styx, she is currently in the market of a ship.

She also has a deep affinity for magic, and is an adept spell caster in a few different schools.

Her healing magic is fantastic, and she is able to heal the major wounds of someone if given enough time. She is also adept in "buffing" her allies with spells to enhance their different attributes. Barrier magic and spells based on light are also commonly used in her repertoire.

An excitable person Dusty is one who has a thirst for life. She enjoyed seeing knew things, and despite her age acts as curios as she can. While she isn't stupid she tends to put on the image of an airhead. She is kindly and is hard to anger, but a cool fury can be found on the end of her long fuse. She struggles with the dichotomy between urbanization and nature, especially seeing as she is somewhere between human and plant. On one hand she has spent most of her life having relationship with other humanoids, and devoted her life to healing them. On the other side, she has a deep affinity and draw to the natural world, and she has spent her fair time conversing with plan life as well. Striving for balance she tends to favor humanoids. While she is soft spoken and kindly she does not shy away from a fight. She is stubborn in her opinions and while she respects the opinions of others, isn't going to tell you're right when she thinks your wrong. Independent and at times irreverent, she can be described as marching to the beat of her own drum.
Items:
Dusty attempts to steer clear of carrying to many possessions, as she is the type to travel often. Despite this she is a very sentimental person, and will hold onto things she is attached to. She carried a large brown backpack, filled with her clothing, large books, samples of different plant-life, and bottle of water. She always has a few trinkets from different people tied to it. Such as a little glass star, a little metal dog, a pair of old 6-sided dice, a bullet casing, a paper crane and an empty pill bottle. She travels unarmed, though will pick up or create branches to serve as walking sticks. Despite being unable to wear a hat for the large flower on her head, she loves them, and keeps a few with her at all times.
Bio:
Living a nomadic lifestyle Dusty has traveled from another country to find herself in Lemuria. She traveled with her family for a long time, before leaving to take schooling. After this she traveled some more, deciding to continue her path of knowledge by way of experience. She needs for little, and takes things other then currency from her patients. Sometimes she asks for nothing, though other times she will choose to sleep under someones roof. At times she has adventured with parties of rough go-getters, and at others she has taken things she fancies, like accessories from people. All in all she has lived an exciting life of new wonders around every corner. She has spent 2 years in Lemuria, coming from the south, before talk of war started. Now she is held here not only by misplaced obligation to keep the peace, but by the conflicts rules. It's harder to leave and enter the country now, and has little money to her name. Looking for guidance now, she strives to gain purpose beyond being stuck here.
Name:
Ana Veedier
Age:
219 (While Siren's are long lived, she keeps looking even younger with magic and occult items)
Gender:
Female
Race:
Siren
Skills:
An extremely talented witch, she has a natural ability above most others, and has dedicated plenty of her time to studying and practicing magic further. As a harpy she has the natural ability to fly as well as to bewitch people with prolonged eye contact. Just like with her magic she has honed this natural talent further, to make it more adept then most of her race. She is a learned and knowledgeable person, with connections to the world of proper magic, as well as the shady underbelly of crime. While her spell-casting is her primary talent, she is a well practiced enchanter as well, who can create magical items of high strength.
Abilities:
Destructive spells, from simple elemental control to highly intricate casts. She can summon beings from other planes, create grand illusions, animate objects, has many familiars as well as spells that empower her physical form. She is dangerous by herself, but she is also cruel and intelligent. This combination allows her freedom to do as she pleases. Her natural Siren ability of influencing people with her gaze is also quite potent.
Personality:
Selfish is how most people might think of her. Of course they would never tell her that. She is someone who commands attention, and while she doesn't revel in being the center of it, she won't deny it's quaint to be. She has a deep fascination with the world, and loves to read and personally explore it's different corners. She is the kind to keep tabs on as many things as possible, to keep every scale in her favor. She isn't afraid of many things, and has a deep respect for the order of things. Naturally "the order of things" has to fit her description, but I digress. She keeps an aura of calm and coolness about her, and always makes it hard to know what she's thinking. While she has a strong sense of emotion, she always holds a curt, polite, yet superior smirk on her face. Fanciful and elegant, she is debonair as well as cruel.
Items:
In her estate she has a plethora of collected weaponry and magical items, which she has either crafted herself or acquired in some way. She lives in a posh manner with all sorts of frivolous items such as plush couches, famous paintings, silver cutlery and different sources of entertainment. She is a collector of sorts. One who finds out about a certain kind of item and feels the need or entitlement to own all different forms of it. This is most certainly not limited to inanimate objects, and she collects rare creatures of different natures, as well as sentient races.
Bio:
While she is sure to have a long history, she hardly speaks it. Her rise to power and fortune was a series of well planned and fortuitous moments, and while she must know her fair share of loss, no one could rightly give you an example. She keeps her past a secret, and she keeps her secrets well.

Often he is in poor health due to these times of hyper-fixation, but it's all fueled by a rather innocent sense of wonder. While it might not seem it at times he has a thirst for life and exploration that can appear unparalleled. A child at heart he simply does what he wants, and while he doesn't go out of his way to hurt others, he is a little dense at noticing their needs. Only really being much of a people person when focused on teaching; his personality is founded on his own perception of the world, his curiosity of what he does not know, and his unintentionally selfish nature.

Spending some time even in Zerzura, he has explored the lager, although safer cities of the Aluria. Returning for his final years of schooling to Arcadia, he graduated at the top of his class. After this he worked hard to get his necessary teaching degrees, as well as a dual major in archaeology. His thirst for the knowledge of the now only rivaled by the interest in the lost history of yesterday. He has spent most of his life continuing his studies, teaching, and digging under the crust of the country to try and piece together the secrets of the universe, as well as the land he has always called home.
