Former sergeant Timothy Theron entered the warehouse and took a quick look around, just to ensure the two (or three?) individuals presently seen were the only ones actually present. It was impossible to take the trained alertness out of a military man, no matter how long he'd been out.
Tim had never really considered his ability a power. He'd thought it normal for him, and other naturally intuitive, sensitive people. But when his manager at the warehouse he worked at, Sammy's Club, had been the first person outside of his family to recognize and want to utilize his gift, Tim had almost let it go to his head.
More than anger, Tim thought to himself as he eyed the teenage girl, carefully moving forward, More like pride-fueled rage. And a severe case of superiority complex. Pfft, better than having an inferiority complex...like me.
The Marine, unconscious as he was, seemed to radiate more calmness, which is something to be said for a Marine. While most Marines exude intensity despite their apparent lack of emotion, this one seemed very at ease and...adaptive. And unlike the girl, his inability to control his "power" did not make him feel more important than anyone else.
At least, these were the vibes that the Infamous Empath got. He'd been wrong before.
But it was rare.
