Wow, Colin and Hound have a lot in common with Alexis. Both remnants of a war that has left them behind, more so with Hound as you were both tools.

@LPRKN I've looked your character's history (both of them). Indeed they do have things in common.

The only thing that they probably don't have in common is that Alexis brought the extinction of her race. I didn't said that in the history to keep it a secret (that I just told you but I'll expand on this in IC). The "sadness" in her eyes ? It's not only for a people that she never knew it's for slaughtering untold thousands of innocent and not-so-innocent people.

The war between the two factions was almost over and the humans were already loosing (reason why she was created) so it was not hard to make her race extinct. As for the robots ? They all had build-in explosives. All she had to do is to hack "Mother" (the AI that controlled all robots) and turn on the explosives. Again, I'll explain this in IC if someone asks her and she trusts them enough to talk about it.

Also. Reason why she is called Mortis (death in Latin) also reason why some people believe that she killed of her race :)

Regarding the asset that transfers skills, I think it should be through some sort of brain link helmet technology.
Makes more sense why we are the only ones that do it and why it only works on one skill.
It will also let us make the skill changeable XD

Oh and can someone maybe put the ship into a character sheet format?
I think that would be good if we want to improve it later down the track :)

I like the idea of VR training a lot. The ability is less "We're the only ones that do training together" and more "We're living in close proximity to each other, so it's easier for members of this particular group to train each other." How about...It's a combination of mundane training in addition to facilities that come with the ship? Like there's the VR thingy, maybe a gravity training room. But it's also possible for crew members to teach each other skills normally. That way, it can include stuff that can't be taught via brain upload, such as strength training or the ability to use magic.

And putting the ship as a character might be a good idea.

I can't get into the word doc without downloading an app so I've just put my input into the PM. I don't mind anyone editing it.

I do really like the comradery of your idea, it gives a good homely feel to the ship, but I just fear we will have approval issues as nothing really limits someone from teaching all their skills.
I have updated mine to include physical attributes.

If we need help getting it approved we can add a 'fade away' period where it essentially wears off over time and needs to get redone. (But let's leave that as a bargaining chip.)

I'm not gonna touch the ship, I'll leave that up to everyone else. I just put in the most recent thing I could find on it.
Also there is a lot of room for people to cross out my white writing and add in their own personalisation and colour.
I just took a guess at what people might say and steered it to the required destination.

Lastly, is everyone's character approved?

@Dark Light Ah, are you on mobile? If so, you might be able to get around it by going to the desktop site instead of mobile. It's what I do.

As for the ability, I agree that it's possible they might ask us to scale back the powers. However, there are several abilities within the other groups that equate to a free skill. Even if they do ask us to change it, well, all that means is that we have to change it.

We can definitely keep the skill transfer thing, but make it one of the facilities the ship has, in addition to other forms of training. Some players might prefer mundane training. Like, I don't think Marco would want to do the skill transfer thing. He'd be more likely to just go lift weights with John.

Ultimately, they all do pretty much the same thing (Grant a new ability similar to one a teammate has) but have different ways players can write it.

Also, Rilla recently accepted me. So I'm in.

It looks like this group is still being fleshed out. Particularly, I'd like to see the pirates' spaceship as a territory/critical point. Just ping one of the staff when you're ready to submit it for approval. :)

We should come to a consensus on that, by the way. Here, I'll post sorta a mashup of things people suggested, and we can pick and choose. What do you guys think of the name? The two that have been suggested are Max One Five and The Penumbra. Maybe Max One Five is the name of the model of ship, but The Penumbra is what the crew has named this particular Max One Five class battleship?

It has an AI. I wonder if we could get someone to play them? They could have an AI in the ship that gets uploaded to some sort of robot when the crew goes out.

Hmm. That could work. Maybe because it's been hacked it has more than one personality? And it uses a hologram projector to look however it wants.

It's not hacked but only...half-hacked ? Like, we still don't have full control over it. I intend to make a personal mission for Alexis (which the crew will help, hopefully) in which she goes to her homeworld and discovers something.
