@JBRam2002 If your current rolls are better than what you reroll I would be a dick for not letting you keep them when the point of rerolling is to get better stats so you're not handicapped

My rolls were 12, 11, 12, 10, 15, and 14.

New Rolls:
16 - 11 - 14 - 10 - 10 - 13

Yeah, RPG's dice roller doesn't like me. With my racial mods, the first set is stronger for me >.<

I've never used the guild's dice mechanic, I prefer this dice roller.

@The Mighty Hero

Just rolled up stats on Roll20 for S&G, and that site likes me a lot more >.< I won't beg to use these instead, but I sure wouldn't complain if you let me. If you want further proof that the numbers aren't fudged, I can provide it, but it takes a bit of time :P

Sorry for Double Post...

I realized that the majority of people are using Dice Cloud, so I have duplicated my sheet over there and updated my CS to redirect to Dice Cloud.

No problem, double posting doesn't bother me and I don't understand why it bothers other people.

I've made some formatting adjustments on the dicecloud. I've also realized I made a grave mistake in calculating HP calculation, I forgot to add the first constitution mod at level 1... Hence 32 ought to be 33. Funny thing is I wrote down 33 on my physical character sheet... Not sure what happened there.

Also, I've made this Dota2/WoW character just for fun!
And I've also made a psionic or "Mystic" as they call them in 5e. I miss 3.5 for the roleplay, but I think 4.0 is better for the wargames. I haven't done 5e yet though, so please excuse my greenness.

@The Grey Dust 5e's combat and skill system is simpler than 3.5e. I can't speak to 4e tho. I think combat in 5e is more fun, and all it really lacks is a robust crafting system. Other than that, I vastly prefer 5e over 3.5e.

@JBRam2002

5e in general seems to simplify a lot of things.
5e combat seems to take after 4.0. offering more flexibility for all classes.
4.0 had more specialized spells for classes which made every class have pretty much a unique-ish spell/ability list.
5.0 however has pools like 3.5, which tends to make customization possible, but not as a complex array as 4.0.

The crafting system in 5e is lacking indeed, but I think that's because the item system itself is very sparse.
I mean I was at a loss at what to buy with gold as you can't purchase/craft magic items. And some spell components are overpriced for their effects I guess. Spell Scrolls would have been nice to have, or a least some minor magical items like eternal chalk or the immovable rod.

@The Grey Dustyou actually can purchase magic items. Uncommon usually runs around 500 gp unless it's like +1 plate armor. The DM ok'd Bracers of Archery for me, for example.

Oh. you can?
I didn't see the list in the PHB.
Is there an AV or something out there?

Then again I took the middle of the road to my character's starting wealth at 625gp + basic starting materials.
So I probably wouldn't have the funds anyways :P

@The Grey DustThe magic items are listed in the DMG, but you can usually find them online. Avoid dandwiki - that's 99% overpowered homebrew.

donjon.bin.sh/5e/magic_items - a good list

Dandwiiki is a repository of anime items made to be used in dungeons and dragons. The only problem is; why? They don't belong in dungeons and dragons!

@JBRam2002

Why on earth did they put it up on the DMG?
I suppose DM's do need to go and use it as loot.
But honestly, I'd like to think there's a fair price on magical items.
I mean anyone who's anyone can venture into Dis and buy a few trinkets right?
Just imagine the streethawking vendors:

"We promise to give you one HELL OF A DEAL for you!"
"Why get a good deal when you get a Fiendish one instead?"
"This week only, Thirty Percent off Used Souls! Trade in's of good Condition Accepted!"

Or if you're looking for the finest things on this side of the elemental plane of fire...

I think it depends on how the DM sets the atmosphere. I once was part of a game where Magical Items are the means of trade. Theres no currency being used, so kind of a barter system.

We can buy uncommon magic items with starting gold, that's pretty huge. Some of the uncommon magic items are ridiculous values at 500gp, compared to other things.

UA has downtime magic item buying and creation rules now.
