Chayyliel/Drekavac
Hell's Sharpshooter

Name:
    Female: Chayyliel
      Nicknames:
      • Chay
      • Liel

    Male: Drekavac
      Nicknames:
      • Dre
      • Kavac
      • Kav

Title: Chief of Special Operations

Male Height: 6’9
Female Height: 6’6

Male Weight: 210 lbs
Female Weight: 185 lbs

Age: Adult

Race:
Akæn are more well known than people may think, but not in the sense that they are an alien race but rather mythological beings. Humans thought the Akæn to be beings from Heaven… or was it Hell? It’s a hard thing to determine when half of you is responsible for the belief of beings made by a righteous God while the other half is responsible for the belief of fire and brimstone. ‘Angels’ aren’t as innocent as the humans thought however, in fact… the ‘Angels’ are the real ‘Demons’ while ‘Demons’ tend to have more of the polite and defensive disposition that ‘Angels’ were meant to have. Much like humans, Akæn harbor both ‘Angel’ qualities and ‘Demon’ qualities within them, unlike humans, they are able to swap genders on a whim depending on the situation they find themselves in. The female side of the Akæn, or the ‘Angels’, tend to be offensive and brutal in their methods of fighting, each one specializes in a singular ability and hones it until they have perfected any and all methods related to that ability. However, they are also what could be considered a Glass cannon, their defenses suffering greatly thanks to their focus on their offensive capabilities. On the flip side, the males, or ‘Demons’, tend to focus strictly on their defensive capabilities, preferring to talk their way out of situations and deflecting blows should it happen. It is because of these capabilities that this race is known to intervene in disputes far more than almost any other race.

Tier: Medium (high 4)

Group(s): Ragnarov Fleet

Appearance:
Chayyliel

Tall and lithe like an elf, Chayyliel’s muscular build is not as prominent as her male counterpart. The living metal introduced to her body at a young age formed ito wings with blade like feathers, fusing to her spine and shoulder blades for accurate lift capabilities. Due to the surprising intricacy of her wings, small implementations had to be made to allow better control of these large appendages, causing her abilities to control the Alloy to climb to a surprising degree. When her wings are not in use, the metal seems to fuse to her skin like armor, bleeding to areas where vital organs could be found. Due to the metal taking such actions, she rarely feels as if she needs to wear clothing as the metal is almost always in an armored state unless she is fighting. When battle is near, she if often found wearing clothing that is easy to move in, usually pats and an open-back shirt. Any dresses are usually ceremonial as the flowing garments are impractical, not that her waist length blonde hair is any better but, she refuses to cut her hair as it “Frames my Topaz eyes Beautifully”.

Drekavac

While the living metal showed itself on Chayyliel as wings, on Drekavac they formed into an impressive set of blades along his forearms. The blades upon his arms typically lay flat on his skin like shining scales, only seeming to ‘burst’ to life upon need of defense. Apart from blades and the ability to force his living metal to spring forth where it is needed for defense, Drekavac is a relatively normal looking male humanoid, though rather tall. At least, until he smiles, flashing a set of rather impressive canines that look as if they were designed to tear your esophagus from your neck. Years of Martial arts training have assisted him in keeping a well toned body, his muscles visible but more tone rather than bulky. Black hair flows rather straight down the back of his neck, coming to rest mid-shoulder blade. An array of short and long bangs frame a handsome face , the locks stopping no shorter than his eyebrows but no longer than the corner of his mouth, the black color plus long lashes causing scarlet eyes to pop, drawing attention easily. “Honestly I wish people would stop staring.”

Personality:
Female: Usually considered abrasive to those who do not know her, Chayyliel is far kinder than most would imagine. However, despite how kind she appears, she is equally violent. Armed with an array of laser based firearms, this ‘Angel’ will shoot someone with little provocation due to her ‘trigger happy’ nature. If you manage to befriend her, you will never have a more loyal compatriot.

Male: Nearly the opposite of his other half, Drekavac tends to be more on the submissive side of things. While her prefers to keep out of fights as much as possible, he is fully capable of defending himself if needed. Like his female counterpart, he is very loyal but, unlike her, far kinder and less prone to violent outbreaks. The ‘Demon’ is basically everything you expect him not to be. If you need some diplomacy, he is your best bet.

Abilities, Talents, Traits, Powers:
Trait: Living Metal
  • Tier: 4
    • Information:
      • Living metal is given to every Akæn when they come of age, the metal that bonds with them determining which Caste they end up in and what they are meant to become proficient in. Unlike the bloodtype of humans, Living Metal type has nothing to do with your parents as they could easily both be Iron but their child could end up Titanium bound. The Living Metal binds in many different ways, be it simply existing on the surface of one’s body or against the very bones with the ability to move through the Alien’s pores to be utilized externally. It can take nearly any shape that the host wants but may need assistance working (I.E. while it can turn into a firearm, it is useless unless you feed normal rounds through it). There seems to be almost no limit to the metal’s flexibility, at least, as long as the Host doesn’t have a limit to their imagination. If a part of the metal is incinerated, it can be replenished, but the individual will be eating an awful lot during the time that the metal is being regenerated. Thanks to the symbiotic relationship between Metal and Host, Akæn do not die of disease and suffer very limited age related issues as the metal constantly ‘refreshes and revitalizes’ its host for optimal functionality. Life span can range anywhere from 1,500 to 2,000 years max pending no one blows their head off, or otherwise deals a mortal wound.

Ability: Sharpshooter
  • Tier: 3
    • Information:
      • Thanks to the Living Metal within her eye, she has artificial cones and the ability to force her eyes to dilate, allowing for enhanced vision up to 16 times that of a normal human. When absolutely necessary, she is able to create a scope utilizing her living metal and she has a specialized magnifying glass that attaches to the scope, the glass working with the living metal in her cones to amplify her ‘sight’ capability by another 16 fold making that a total of 256 times that of an average human. In order to maintain her steady posture and firing capabilities, living metal runs along the length of her Ulna, locking her arm in place and eliminating any shaking that usually occurs when one aims their weapon. Due to her spending eighty years of her life training with a variety of firearms, Chayyliel can use almost anything depending on reasonable bodily limitations and RARELY misses her target.

Talent: Diplomacy
  • Tier: 1

    • Information:
      • While Drekavac may be good with words, there is nothing about him that would put him above a human’s ability to talk to others. In fact, the only advantage he really has is his age, and even then he is still only considered a ‘Young Adult’ by his races standard.

Ability: Close Quarters Combat/Defense
  • Tier: 3
    • Information:
      • Where Chayyliel excels in ranged combat, Drekavac excels in close quarters, his living metal encasing his bones to allow him to take harder hits more often. To ensure he is never without protection he has mastered the art of pushing the Living metal from the inside of his body to the outside of the body at a single thought. The shape of the metal is determined by what he needs at the moment, be it a set of gauntlets or simply a shield, and he is fully capable of adjusting the amount of Living Metal in certain parts of his body, allowing him to shift his weight ratio at a whim. His abilities in both defense/Offense and Living Metal are just as high as his other half considering he has been working on it just as long.

Power: Empathic Influence
  • Tier: 2
    • Information:
      • Their Empathic Influence is a 300m aura around them that considerably boosts the morale, stamina, and overall battle prowess of their allies while simultaneously reducing any opponent's combat-effectiveness within their 300m Aura and 100m Aura around her allies by eroding their will to fight.

Items:

Metabolic injection:

  • Tier: 2

    • Information:
      • Thanks to their need to ingest enough food to feed a platoon should any of their living metal be incinerated or lost they must replenish their metal supply. The Metabolic injection bypasses the need to eat so much food and also gives their a boost of energy that lasts approximately one hour before crashing. “Oh look! Nap time!”

Azah

  • Tier: 3

    • Information:
      • Azah, or God’s Fire, is a rifle that usually starts out with a long barrel, allowing Chayyliel to shoot over fantastical distance. The firearm was designed especially for them by the gunsmiths of Elysium, nothing but living metal, minus the microfusion generator and adjusting lense that allows the beam to be discharged at all. To ensure that the rifle cannot be fired by anyone but Chayyliel, her own living metal fuses with small parts of the weapon, allowing for the safety to be disengaged. On the rare occasion Chayyliel finds herself at a close enough range, the firearm seems to meld into a shorter barrel and rather than shooting photon lasers, it shoots small balls of energy that explode upon impact with either target or object. “I am pretty sure I told you you wouldn’t be able to use her.”

Uriel
  • Tier: 2
    • Information:
      • The only thing truly special about Uriel is the laser fused within the weapon that is designed to bloom quickly. The low energy of the laser allows one to actually be able to see while utilizing the weapon, cutting through Drekavac’s enemies easily. Just as Chayyliel’s weapon could not be used without her Living Metal’s Signature, Uriel’s laser does not activate without Drekavac’s hand on the hilt. Though not easily seen, there is an area within the hilt that allows his living metal to seep through, activating the energy source of the sword’s laser. “Hey now, that’s nothing more than a fancy stick to you.”

History:
Born to Chromium and Tungsten parents as a girl, ChayVac constantly flopped between genders without any warning until they hit puberty… something that is completely normal for the Akæn. When they hit five years of age they were brought to the Temple where they would be bonded with their living metal, their parents excited to see what their child’s life would have in store for them. The entire process is that of a ritual for the Akæn, the small child sitting within a room with an elder, their legs crossed and hands in their lap as they simply waited. First, the Elder took a vial of blood from ChayVac, bringing it over to each of the metals and allowing a single drop of blood to hit each of the metals. Whatever metals would react were what the child would end up bonding with, it was the same for everyone. In ChayVac’s case, their parents were thrilled when the child’s blood caused both the Tungsten and Chromium to react… but they never guessed what would happen next.

Iron - Negative
Zirconium - Negative
Copper - Negative
Titanium - Negative
Nioblum - Negative
Magnesium - Negative
Tantelum - Negative
Molybdenum - Negative
Chromium - Positive
Tungsten - Positive
Silver - Negative

Last came gold, no one thought it would react and for a moment? It did not, ChayVac’s blood slid over the cool surface of the metal, slowly making its way down the almost spherical shape, only for the metal to spring into an almost violent, and entirely unexpected, frenzy. Gasps from family members filled the room, but ChayVac did not move, simply stared at the three metals that seemed to spring into life. That was always the key with these metals, a bit of blood to get them going otherwise they were unusable, unless heat was applied for working the metal into buildings and items.

One by one, the Elder brought the metals over and placed them into ChayVac’s upturned palms, the metal sliding over their skin and sinking into their body. First was the Tungsten, the black metal seeming to disappear only to be chased closely by the stark contrast of the Chromium. The Gold however, the Gold seemed to only wish to slide along their skin, exploring until it simply sank into their back, movement under their skin showing that it seemed to be housing itself around the bones there. It seemed like it was safe to say their training would begin the following -

“Alright Jeeves, we got it from here, you can go on break now. So! You just got to my training right? Yeah… fun shit, not really much to tell you about it though other than the fact that there was a LOT of it. Like, 80 years of my life went to that shit. Anyway, lots of learning how to control my gender swapping, lots of learning how to control my metals and my favorite part? Guns… lots and lots of guns! Small ones, big ones… [b]HUGE ones, bet you know what ones were my favorite! I got to shoot all of them, then it was determined which ones I would use first, it looked like I was rather good with the longer range so that is what they focused on the most. My instructor even taught me how to enhance the natural cone of my eye with some of my metals, mostly the Gold for flexibility of the cone and Chromium for the hyper reflectivity. Yeah, see? I can use big words too, not just Drekavac. I mean, we do have the same level of intelligence after all, he just does all the reading. Books are booooooooooooring. They can’t shoot jack shit.

“Ok, back on track we go! So, my training was pretty straight forward and they honed me into this near perfect killing machine with any type of weapon you set in my hand as long as it shoots. I say near perfect because, let's be real, everyone misses once in awhile. My hit to miss ratio was the best in the entire class, pretty sure I made a lot of people jealous when I was awarded the title ‘Sharpshooter’. Hell’s Sharpshooter to be exact, mostly because I wasn’t exactly the nicest child growing up and I still rather shoot someone and ask questions never. Want to know my favorite number? No? Too bad, it’s 97.35462. Wanna know why? No… too bad still! That’s my Hit to miss percentage!
“That was usually practiced during the days, sometimes at night since we need to know how to adjust our sight for lack of light, or a strange abundance, thankfully we can look at plasma focused weapons with our ability to forcefully close our pupil, but it’s not a good idea to do while we are fighting. Now, our defense training… not something I would really label as ‘fun’ since we spent most of the time getting hit. It was a good time to learn how to force our metal out of our body and form into whatever we needed at the moment. Shield? Easy enough, anything that was in contact with skin was gold for maximum flexibility while the rest was a Chromium-Tungsten alloy. Armor? Well that’s one we both use and very much the same way. What one would call liquid gold remains between our compression suit while the Chromium-Tungsten alloy encases our body over the gold. Thankfully, the alloy prevents our metal from shattering, but it will tear and from that tear it will crack.

“Now, even as a defender I had to learn how to utilize weapons of all nature, though I refused to handle the gun… Chayyliel can keep that honor all to herself. Why you ask? I’m not here to fight, I’m here to defend myself and try to at least talk my way out of situation, but that isn’t to say I cannot fight if I must, I just don’t like too. While these activities took 80 years of our life, that does not make us old as it is the metal that determines what category we fall into, I reached adulthood faster than most. After my fighting training was completed, it was time to be educated in the fashion the Seraphim were and I found it absolutely delightful.

“Books… Urg I HATE books! Only he would think learning to be a Seraphim would be fun. Regardless, it was very informative and I was very glad for it as Seraphim and Powers are of the highest intellectuals within Elysium, our Archangels a close second. You may say that soldiers don’t need to be intelligent, well you couldn’t be even more wrong. Tactics my friend, tactics are extremely important and you can’t just replace them with brute force, you won’t get very far.

“Now, back on track… we didn’t join the Ragnarov Fleet until we were about a hundred thanks to the additional 10 years spent learning how to be a Proper Seraphim. Was all rather boring before the fleet, I think Abasil would agree with me too. Oh! Abasil, right, I haven’t mentioned him yet have I? Well, he’s been around my family for as long as I can remember and he even followed me through my Seraphim training, kept me sane I’d like to think. He is rather interesting too but I rather not spoil that for you as I am sure he will tell you himself. He is both a friend to us and family, I don’t think I’ve ever spent a day without him around me be it following me, helping me or simply just being there.

“So, when we first joined the fleet not a lot of crew members believed me when I said what I was capable of… and then I proved myself. My ability to shoot as well as my ability to defend myself were constantly put to the test, even my more diplomatic abilities were tried. We quickly rose through the ranks and became the Chief of Special Operations in quick order, but that also meant we were given a chair on the council. I wasn’t too happy about it at first -

“Well I was, it was rather nice to flex my ability as a diplomat and when battle tactics are spoken of it is left to Chayyliel. I made a rather cozy niche for myself on the council, did what I could to help there while also going out onto the field as Chayyliel wouldn’t want it any other way. Honestly? I can’t say I blame her as even I think the chair gets boring after some time, even I rather be forced to defend than sit there and do nothing.

“Anyway! That’s it! I’m not telling you anymore because frankly it’s really none of your business. I came to the Fleet because I kicked the ass of every other self proclaimed sharpshooter that had applied and then proved my worth. Creft hasn’t complained about my methods yet and I doubt he will, at least we’re getting results!”
