The blistering snow and howling winds were upon him once again. He had already experienced this... 200 years ago. He couldn't forget, even if he wanted to, those biting frosts that made him lose his sanity back then. The sniper's eye caught a glimpse of those monsters. The demons had come once again. Quickly drawing his rifle, Dmitri tumbled forward, and began riddling those demons with lead. The beasts fell one by one, covering the snowy ground with black liquid. Just like before, the beasts nestled in the air as they darted forward Dmitri at immense haste. However, the sniper was already aware of their abilities. The bullets soared once again, dropping those demons with grace. Dmitri darted forward, and grabbed a demon by its neck, lifting it into the air.
"Give my regards to Hell... You son of a bitch." Dmitri growled as the demon was encased in a crimson cocoon, shattering immediately in a thousand icy fractals.
These memories were jolted out of Dmitri's mind as he stood outside of that familiar home... a home where he had felt warmth... away from the blistering colds of Smolensk. The soldier was dressed in his usual white camouflage, his old mosin-nagant sniper hung by his shoulder, his waist covered by a belt of bullets, and his lower face, covered with a gas mask. Dmitri's breath sent out a tiny cloud of frost, a mark of his curse. His frost-covered boots thudded softly on the pavement as his hand rested on the doorknob. It had been a 100 years since he was last here... Would there be any new members to the family?
Dmitri smiled at these thoughts as he entered the house. He could already hear noises, mostly girls. Dmitri arrived at the kitchen, seeing familiar and new faces. The soldier removed his gas mask and hood as he brushed the snow off his hair.
"My, my, my. Isn't this a warm sight?" Dmitri smiled warmly as he leaned on the wall. Observing his family. "Good to see you again, Lina. I don't know if you still remember me, a hundred years ago." Dmitri chuckled as he turned to the new face that just appeared behind him, just near the living room. "A new face you are. Good to meet ya, lad." Dmitri also noticed a lad, twirling fire in his small fingers, and another woman.
Dmitri turned to the child in the kitchen, she was extremely young. Dmitri smiled as he coughed.
"I knew there would be some new faces in this family, but I never thought it would be this many. Care to tell me your names? I'm Dmitri Alexei... just treat me as your brother or something." Dmitri introduced himself, setting his rifle on a nearby table.
