Hello, I'm new here, which is the main reason I'm starting out with free and a bit of casual RPing. I might need a bit of help with the first few things, but I'll do my best!
Picture this, it's the early 22nd century, and WW3 has just ended after <Insert Country Here> used a world destroying atomic bomb! But evident by the title I just gave the bomb, the life of planet Earth has come to an end. Using several experimental rockets made for the occasion from the best current technology (keep in mind it's the 22nd century) a small part of the population has been transported to some kind of other rocky planet that just so happens to be in the goldylocks zone around its own star! The few surviving people have to explore that current planet and several others while looking for signs of civilization. But on their journey, they're always getting caught up with mysteries, quests, wars similar to the previous ones on earth, and other troubling things.
As for characters/races, some parts of the group(s) are humans and other creatures/humans (Humanoids, monsters, aliens etc.) that they have come across on the planets and recruited for their journey.
For the fantasy part, powers and unrealistic weapons are allowed, but if you decide to be a human that came from the rockets, You're not allowed to have them from the get-go!
Now for some more rules, exceptions, etc. -Multiple Characters are allowed -Though this is tagged 'Free' be a little in depth with character and story, and don't overdo your characters. -Romance and relationships are allowed, but only if the characters accept it, if your one person, don't force relationships on others. -Don't control other characters that aren't yours, unless you're told to by the creator of the character. -Stick with a personality and story, don't get off topic -Don't be OP off the bat, unless you have explanations for it. Later on in the RP, being OP is partially allowed, but only if you're being reasonably powerful against others/monsters. -Don't obtain items from nowhere, either you've had it stashed/already had it, it's nearby and you immediately use it, or you previously found it in the roleplay.
That's pretty much it. If you have any questions, ask them, and I will come up with an answer. So is anyone interested? Keep the tags in mind. And also keep the fact that I'm new in mind, I might make mistakes. :)
@RumikoOhara Well yeah, I haven't role played in about a year, because I was intimidated by most platforms that had rules, and I didn't want to use the simple platform that I previously used because it wasn't meant for roleplaying and they put limits for how many posts you could make per day. But I feel ready this time, and I always enjoy having fresh, new starts on roleplays.
