No doubt you're probably bored, going through multiple 1x1 threads looking for some new and exciting story to create.
Hopefully, you'll see something here that you might like but if not, I wish you the best as you continue to scroll :)
- I'm 27, Male
- I work full time and will not reply every day (though I might check in to read/re-read posts, plan replies, etc.) In fact, my replies could be more to a couple times per week (pending the week).
- I like to write on the side (usually YA fantasy, some Sci-Fi, and occasional short story)
- I don't mind OOC chatter, however, I usually leave it up to you. You like to chat, huzzah! If not, I won't press you.
- I'm high-casual to low advanced (pending story, number of characters, how tired I am, and where exactly we're at.) That said, you won't ever receive a one-liner from me in a story. I try to keep at least 2-3 paragraphs minimum (again pending - don't put me in a box :) )
- I'm not a Grammar Nazi. I love writing but don't really care as much for the technical "English" side of things. That said, I do have a fairly decent understanding of the English language and know how to write. However, typos, occasional wrong word usage, and such might occur.
- Pending the story, I have no problems introducing NPCs and secondary characters. In fact, it will probably happen. I can double the story.
- I can write either gender and various age groups. Therefore, I don't care if my partner is male or female.
- Romance: I don't mind it provided it fits. I don't like to force it if there isn't something there. That said, if we planned a character to be romantically involved at the beginning, that will work. But it has to fit the story
- I prefer doing the story via PM.
- No smut (fade to black)
- M/F romance relationships only
- Romance-wise: Anything adult related (even if fade to black), the character has to be at least 18
Now that we have that out of the way: Plots.
These are ideas that can be expounded on. Like the concept but not necessarily the full thing - we can talk.
***** Most favorite at the second
Already have - thanks
Wanted:
Widower with children looking for a woman willing to come out to the Arizona Territory and consider marriage. Owns a ranch outside Bucktown and has two children - 12 and 5. Travel expenses as well as room and board for two weeks paid. No commitment - if you don't like the region or man a ticket home wil be provided.
Please submit telegram to Davlin Landry - Bucktown, Arizona Territory.
Basically, this setting can be Old West or an AU Old West.
How much we want to stick to the historical accuracy can be determined (we could always make it some steampunk Old West setup - not futuristic though).
I'm open to playing either the widower or the woman.
The number of children can be discussed as well (though I have a character concept for the eldest - 12 years old).
This can be a combination of things (not just mail order). We can have a bit of mystery (bank robbers, lawman and outlaws and such). Or it can be more a story about a woman coming out west, winning the trust of a town and child and making a new home.
This plot is very open. Modern, slightly historical.
(Not really wanting Sci-fi or fantasy oriented on this one).
Basically, the interaction will between Father/Daughter duo and your MC.
How they meet, why they meet, and what entails is up to you.
This can be romance, just friends, or whatnot.
It can be your MC is teacher, governess or whatnot.
Maybe even a single mother with her own kid.
This concept would be more for us to brainstorm a story together and see where we want to go.
The flashing of blue and red illuminate the night. A crowd of onlookers are off to the side as the officer waves you through. You get out of your vehicle and walk over to the sergeant. "What do we have?".
He nods toward the alley. "Thinking brawl fight that ended badly. Couple witnesses say him and some other guy were arguing over something and started fighting. Bouncer tossed them out. Apparently, they kept at it." He shook his head. "Well, at least it's an easy open and shut case."
"Not as easy as you might think." You hunch down beside the dead body and look him over. He did look like he was in a fight. Bruising on his face. His knuckles raw and bleeding. Dried blood. But nothing too serious. You examine the body for knife wounds but don't see any. You do notice however some bruising at the throat. You narrow your eyes and use your penlight to examine it better. "Medical examiner on his way?"
The officer laughs. "Right. I don't know where you're from but this is pretty low on the totem pole. He'll get it when he gets to it. We'll bag and tag and they'll probably go over it at the lab."
You shake your head but save your breath. You knew that this was low on the priority list. Why else would they have assigned it to you? It irked you that they considered you a newbie even though you had experience as a detective before. You push it aside. You had a job to do and you will do it, no matter what resources they give you. You rise.
"Alright, show me the witnesses."
Regular Mantoca *
Welcome Detective to Mantoca, population 689,210.
Home to mafia family Cocina, Mantoca is a cesspool of violence.
Recently hired by the MPD as a homicide detective, you start your way up the chain working small cases to hopefully arrest the elusive Mr. Cocina himself - assuming you don't get fired and/or killed.
The choices that you make will determine what cases you do and what allies - and enemies - you have.
So are you ready for an adventure?
ALTERNATIVE:** Setting in Hawaii (similar to Hawaii 5-0.). You're are brought on to a special task force that solves crimes (or does protection duty and whatever else the governor wants).
The world of Honua had only one massive continent on the what was the most northern end of the map. Beyond that was the frozen tundra that who traveled survived. To the east, west, and south of the mainland was the ocean for as far out as travelers could.
It was said long ago that the people of Honua were brought into this world by the Mana Ikaika - beings of immense power and wisdom. The land was initially infested with monsters - dragons, dire wolves and creatures beyond imagination. Using their powers, the Mana Ikaika cleared the mainland and the oceans around it, settling the humans on the now free vast mainland. Over the course of the first age, the Mana Ikaika roamed amongst them bringing justice, wisdom, and gifts for mankind. Some of the most worthy they bestowed the gift of magic - small really in comparison but a gift nonetheless.
But true to their nature, mankind grew greedy. They wanted more. Expected more. Turning what was given to them, they tried to force the Mana Ikaika to give them more. A bit regretful for what had come about, the Mana Ikaika withdrew from the continent, returning to their home island of Aina o Ka Nani. Located somewhere in the great vast ocean, location unknown to all others. Thus ending the First Age.
As time went, mankind continued trying to search for Aina o Ka Nani. It was said that the source of power could be found there and that whoever touched it would become like the Mana Ikaika.
As centuries turned into millennia, many started to doubt they even existed. As the Second Age ended, mankind splintered a bit. Some of the explorers never returned back to the mainland, instead settling on the many islands that dotted the vast expanse of Honua. These become the ancestors of the Islanders.
By the time the Fourth Age arrived, there were two distinct groups: the mainlanders - the majority of the population and the Islanders. The mainlanders were split into about half a dozen or so different kingdoms with knights, castles, fortresses, and very few wizards. The Wizards were descendants of those initially touched by the Mana Ikaika. Though their power was limited to a little bit of healing, fire bolts, and very minor magic, they were still a source of power.
The Islanders had fewer population split over a hundred islands some close to the mainland, others far out in the expense. Descendants of the original explorers, they too had the urge to continue exploring the vastness of the world. Similar to the mainlanders, there were a few with magic - very minor. Most of these had become chieftains of their own islands using what little they had to help either guide or control their own village.
Then, something dark happened. Little things at first. Rumors really. Ships lost at sea. Islands razed to blackened husks. Even on the mainland, incidents occurred. More and more strange creatures - monsters really - started to come from the northern tundra, once again returning to that which they lost. Initially one here or there - nothing too major but soon their numbers started to increase. With short memories, mankind did not remember who they were but some remembered who the Mana Ikaina were. They knew that if they could find Aina o Ka Nani they could ask for help - OR take the power for themselves and drive off the monsters.
Thus early in the Fifth Age, brave men and women from the continent and even some of the islands - some unaware of their counterparts, once again determined to search the vastness of ocean for Aina o Ka Nani. Some for power, some to seek aid. And some...well, for their own agendas.
Basically, your character(s) can be someone from the Islanders or the Mainland. Magic or no (remember magic is very rare and can only do so much).
I already have a character planned as my 2nd MC that will be helpful to the plot. But pending who your character is and what how we decide to go with it - will depend on my other MC.
I'm really only looking for maybe one to two more potential partners.
Again - my replies are not every day. Please send me a PM if you are interested.
Thanks for stopping by.
