So, some of you might remember the Weirdest World War RP that I tried to start a few months ago. Since it flopped horribly, I left it dormant for a little bit, but now I think I'm ready for a reboot. Here's what will have changed.
1. No need to write four CS's! Now, only one British and one German CS is expected, the pacific front won't have any focus, and the French will be more in the background.
2. In-depth world history! Since this takes major liberties with... Litterally everything in the past few centuries, I've been drafting a really quick runthrough of everything important that has changed, hopefully increasing immersion a little and letting people write more accurate CS's.
3. Squad voting! Now, instead of choosing the squads we take part in, I'll let you guys vote on a selection of different squads, and the one with the most votes will be the one we play. These range from a British living zepplin crew, to a German mechanized infantry outfit.
So, with that done, here's what you need to know if you did't catch it the first time around:
The year is 1940. Whilst Germany has been annexing parts of Europe and waging minor little wars here and there, the attack on Belgium is something that the British Empire cannot ignore. Vast genetically modified armies of the Empire have been rallied to the lion's flag, whilst the fanatical French and the barmy super-engineers of the Reich have prepared themselves for war too.
The Germans have the advantage of their particular branch of supersicence- with the mysterious energy-generating metal of tezanium on their side, they've made the square-cube law their bitch, and vast mehs and armoured troopers rattle and clank their way across Europe.
On the other side, the still-unified British Empire, with the industrial might of America, India, most of Africa and Australia behind them, have their own particular brand of super science, using the somewhat-understood compound nicknamed 'blend,' genetic advancements that could only be dreamed of are now a reality. Disturbing hybrids of all kinds of animals, living submarines and soldiers capable of doing everything from breathing underwater to spitting acid have sprung forth, prepared to bring the fight to Berlin.
There's just one rule. No talking about Russia.
