Personality: Lily is a kindhearted and generally sweet girl, and she isn't afraid to get her hands dirty to help someone or get something done. She tends to be a bit headstrong and reckless, which often leads into some tricky situations. She doesn't like to lie, and will only do it if absolutely necessary. She's an all around good friend to have by your side, as friendship and family are her most treasured values in life.

History: Lily was born in the hustle and bustle of Goldenrod City. She was born to Mitchell and Leanne Meadows, two former Silver Conference Trainers. It was clear who's side of the family she took after the most, inheriting her mother's green hair and eyes, as well as her passion for Pokemon.

Like all kids her age, she attended Pokemon Trainer's School where she learned the basics of being a Pokemon Trainer. That wasn't her only source, though. Her parents encouraged her growing enthusiasm by teaching her many tips and tricks they had picked up on their journey.

One day her mother recieved something that she had been waiting for. She'd passed the test to become a Gym Leader, and had been assigned as the new Gym Leader for a place called Lilac City, in a region Lily had never heard of before: Viore. During her trial period as Gym Leader, her family remained in Johto until she came home for Lily's tenth birthday, where she gave Lily her first Pokemon, a Chikorita she nicknamed Autumn.

That day she broke the news that she had passed her trial period and become the official Gym Leader of Lilac City, and that they were finally ready to move to Viore. Over the next few days they packed their things and headed to the airport, where they finally got underway to a region Lily was excited to explore.

Notes:
Both of Lily's parents were participants in the same Silver League Conference. While her father was eliminated early on, her mother made it to the Top Eight before being eliminated.
Since she is not from Viore, she is not aware of the vast history the Region has, or of the legends about the Region itself.
While she is just starting out as a Trainer, she has a bit more experience with Pokemon because of her parents, who taught her some skills and tricks she is excited to try out on her own.

Brent Ignia

Hometown/Region: Stormbutte City, Viore

Personality: Brent is a fairly normal down to earth kid. He doesn't like to jump to conclusions and wants to have all the facts before he makes his conclusion. He is quite skeptical of things that aren't easily explained by science and logic, such as the many legends that surround Viore. Other than that, he's normally quite friendly and easy to get along with.

History: Brent was the second born son of a family living in Stormbutte City in the far off Viore Region. He grew up mostly with his older brother Ryan, as his mother was the foreman of the Viore Power Plant in Stormbutte, and his father was the Head Assistant for Professor Maple, causing them both to be away from home often.

Eventually his brother left on his Pokemon Journey, so his father took over the role and returned home for a while. He told him about all the different legends that were passed down in Viore Folklore. Surprisingly, Brent was not fascinated by these legends, as he didn't believe them like other kids due to there not being much proof.

He attended Trainers School in Stormbutte like other kids, where he learned the basics of being a Pokemon Trainer. When the time came for his tenth birthday, his brother gave him the offspring from his own starter Typhlosion, a Cyndaquil which Brent would go on to name Cinder.

Ready to start his Pokemon Journey, he and his father headed out towards New Amber Town, where Brent could get his Pokedex so his journey could finally begin.

Alastair Jonathan Kendrick (also known as AJ)

Hometown/Region: Verdanturf Town, Hoenn region

Personality: AJ may seem quiet at first glance, but he actually talks quite a bit. He speaks his mind more often than not regardless of the situation, though he won’t say more than he needs to. He’s nice enough to other people (and pokemon) whether they’re friends or strangers, and is kind to most. He gets along most easily with those around the same age as him, but respects older people for the knowledge they've accumulated. His moral compass is solid and he is always willing to help those in need. He seems a little naïve at times, but there’s a logic behind what he does. He sets his sights on the small scale, the now rather than later. He knows full well that he can’t predict the future, so he focuses on what he can do and leaves the rest for later.

AJ was born into the hands of a free spirited bird keeper and a kind but firm pokemon breeder. He’d always lived with a large family which consisted of his parents, his 4 siblings, and the various pokemon that shared the house. Many were from his mother’s hobbies, though some were pokemon that had shared adventures with his father during the man's younger days as a pokemon trainer. AJ was the second oldest sibling but it didn’t feel like it, with anywhere up to a dozen pokemon in the house along with their large family. Many of the pokemon in the house had lived longer lives than he did, so he learned to respect them. But many in the house had been born during AJ's life, so he learned to take care of them. They didn’t live a rich life but it was a happy life. Most kids his age went to trainer school but AJ made do with the teachings of his father, or what little tidbits he could glean from the largely exaggerated stories he was told. Still, while his knowledge of the ins and outs of training pokemon were a bit lacking, he knew more about pokemon themselves than most. His unique circumstances has made it easier to sympathize with pokemon and AJ enjoyed a bond between him and his 'family' of pokemon.

One of his relatives phoned in one day and asked for his father’s help to set up pokemarts in Viore. It was essentially a delivery job, carrying various goods from a central base to various pokemarts across the region. An ideal job for a trainer like AJ’s father, with his extensive experience in flying, but that wasn’t what drew his attention. A new region, filled with all sorts of ruins and natural beauty. AJ’s father, the adventurous free spirit that he was, decided he wanted in. It was a temporary job but if things went well, then there was the possibility of a permanent job for AJ’s father. It took a long time to convince AJ’s mother to let him go, and even longer still to let AJ come with him. The plan has been to let AJ’s father scope out the situation and perhaps later the whole family could move out to the new region. But AJ wanted to see the world; he was interested to see what kind of place Viore was, and his father agreed that it would be a good experience for the young child. They would only be gone for a few months to help get the region’s pokemarts for a time, and they would be back every so often to visit. Still, his mother wouldn’t let him go without an escort, so AJ and his best friend Kevin the spearow set off to see what kind of things there were to see in Viore.

A week passed since they arrived in Viore and AJ and his father have settled in for the most part. AJ's father has started doing his job and seems to have gotten used to it. For the time being they're staying at a relative's house in New Amber town and AJ has only started getting used to it. He doesn't mind the down time, however, as he'll find adventure soon enough.

History: Kevin has been a part of AJ’s life ever since AJ could remember. The offspring of his Father’s Fearow, Kevin often got into trouble during AJ’s childhood. While initially distrustful of the boy, they soon became an inseparable tag team of troublemakers, getting into scrapes and learning life lessons when they get told off. For the most part Kevin is still the same personality-wise; proud and impulsive, though not unintelligent. His feisty temperament and tendency to peck first and ask questions later was kept in check by AJ and thus they have both enjoyed a more efficient partnership over the years. He eagerly joins AJ on his trip so that he can show the world that he’s the best Spearow there ever was.

He's a bit fuzzy on elemental weaknesses but his intuition is good and he learns fast
