Broken? Broken. Well, it's not like it happens every time, but as tensions rise, it does. Egos, competition, and drama. Maggie has seen this coming, but honestly, she didn't. Not this time. Mystery Inc., a team of amateur sleuths, investigating supernatural and paranormal phenomena, has been broken up. Again. Fred with his ego, Daphne with her drama, and Velma with her introverted self-esteem; it was a clash that drove them apart from time-to-time. Her brother tried to patch things up, and brighten the tension, but, as a result, it seem to have unintentionally gotten worse. It has been two years since the case of the Luna Ghost, and they've gone their separate ways. However, they tried to make the best of it: Spicing up the van, and taking trips to the beach, where she would help Norville set up a barbeque, and have "another day in paradise", as he would call it. But it still wasn't the same without the rest of the gang. They were like a family together. Besties. They've gone to the same high school together and, since then, they've made a band there. They didn't think they would ever see each other, but having to suddenly receive a request from Emile Mondavarious, there was an opportunity. Sure, her brother rejected the idea at first, but once an "All-You-Can-Eat" buffet was mentioned, a "what the heck, why not?" response came, right after.

The drive to the airport wasn't long, and finding the gate was easy: Just spot a displayed poster that says "Come Visit Spooky Island". And, what no better way than to run into the rest of the gang once you get there. Fred was there, as well as Velma, but no sign of Daphne. Not yet. However, having to spot seven purple bags on a cart, it was obvious that she was near; by the reception desk, complaining about the rule of having no more than two carry-on bags. As usual, she had her little sister Calla help her carry them, tailing slightly behind. As soon as the trio arrived, Shaggy learned about having no big animals on the plane, so he had a plan for Scooby to stay hidden...in disguise.

This was ridiculous. How many bags did one woman need? Really? Not seven, plus two carry ons, that's for sure. Calla shook her head and stood behind her sister, Daphne, sighing heavily in irritation. Apparently she could sit here and argue about the carry on bags all day as well. She loved her sister, but boy did she get on her nerves sometimes. Calla tapped her sneakered foot and Crossed her arms over her chest as she waited. After what seemed like forever, she won the argument (how, she didn't know), and picked up her sisters bags, along with her own, and followed her.

"Is all of this really necessary, Daphne?" She asked as she adjusted the bags on her arms and tried to keep up. Calla wasn't exactly weak, but she wasn't super strong either. Although the three bags were pretty heavy. She had asked Daphne the same question, she didn't know how many times, and each time the answer was the same. "I don't even think Fred would pack this much, and we all know how in love with himself he is." Despite the comment, she liked Fred and missed him. Hell, she missed everyone.

Calla adjusted the bags again and looked up, noticing she had fallen further behind. "Daph, would you wait up?!" She shouted as she attempted to walk faster. "If I have to carry your crap, at least you could walk a little slower."

Seven bags on a wheeled cart, plus two in Calla's arms. Having to come from a wealthy family, Daphne was pretty straightforward on the concept of being prepared. In this case, fashion-wise. Having her little sister complain for almost the entire trip to the gate, Daph knew for sure that she should really be thanking her, considering that her stuff was in at least two of the bags, not including the carry-ons. "I'd prefer being stylishly-prepared", she responded back to her, looking back while tipping her sunglasses down a little, as she walked. After a moment, she readjusted the accessory, and continued on. "Be glad that this is your stuff too, not just mine", the eldest answered her before stopping, and waiting for the younger to catch up. However, as soon as she stopped, she had an expression of disbelief. In the distance, there were two faces she did not expect: Fred and Velma. What is this? Why are they here?

Fred has been talking with Velma, when he happened to notice a red-head in purple. What was she doing here? Unlike Daphne, he was surprised...and confused. "Daph?", he called out. Having to get over her state, she straightened up. "I'm not talking to you guys", she told them, having to make a zipping motion over her mouth, and throwing away "the key". No matter how much she tries to ignore them, Daphne couldn't hold back a demand for an explanation. "What the heck are you doing here?", that was the demand.

Calla quietly mimicked her sisters phrase of being stylishly prepared and rolled her eyes. It was still a little ridiculous. She was so deep in her thoughts, that she hadn't noticed Daphne stop, causing her to almost run into the red head. Calla stopped just before hitting her and was about to say something, when she noticed she was staring at something. "Daphne?" Calla turned her attention forward and saw Fred and Velma. She couldn't help the smile that spread across her face. What were they doing here? "Fred? Velma?" She asked just after her sister said she refused to talk to them. Wait for it... there it is. Yep, she asked what there were doing here. "We were invited to Spooky Isaland. They've got some stuff going on there." She replied, trying to hide the fact that she wanted to give them all a hug.

Velma couldn't believe what she was seeing. Daphne with her bright colors, and too many bags. Calla, trailing behind as usual, toting several bags. She put on a fake smile and waved, unsure what to say. "We got invited too." Was all she said. She adjusted her glasses and looked at Fred, nodding to him. A thought suddenly hit her. There was Fred, Daphne, Calla, and her. Where was Scooby, Shaggy, and Maggie? Surely they received an invite too. Maybe they had been invited and decided not to come. Despite having parted from the others the way they did, it sure was nice to see a few familiar faces.

Daphne was just on the verge of pouting. If one could read the future, she did. "It's not fair", the red-head complained, stomping her pink-heeled boot on the ground, frowning. "We were gonna solve a mystery by ourselves for the first time ever", she added. Fred was more amused than agreeable. "How are you gonna solve it yourself after you get caught?", he asked, wondering what her plan was gonna be, if her danger-prone tendencies got in the way. Daphne put her hands on her hips, straightening up. "I'm a black belt now. I've now transformed my body into a dangerous weapon", by the sound of it, she was serious, but like every time, it was taken as a joke by the gang; her sister included. By how she's trying to look tough, but always seen as a damsel-in-distress in the end. Fred chuckled in amusement at her determination. "What? It's true", Daphne insisted.

As soon as Velma thought of it, Maggie appeared in the distance. "What is this?", she commented aloud, almost delighted to see the gang back together again, though seemingly. The three of them heard the voice of Shaggy's little sister, and had their attention towards her, as she approached them; Shaggy following behind. "Hey, where's Scoob?", Fred asked them. As if on cue, the talking dog himself seemed to be clumsily walking towards the gate in what seems to be a woman's outfit with a hat and heels, appearing to have caused quite an amount of attention. This was Shaggy's idea, after he learned that big dogs were not allowed on the plane. All Maggie could do was cover her eyes in embarrassment at the scene, though was chuckling on the inside.

While Daphne went on about how she was a "black belt", and no longer the damsel, Calla couldn't help but hide her smile with her hand and chuckle to herself. Plus Fred and Velma were making it hard to keep a straight face. They didnt believe her, but Calla knew better. Daphne had learned some self defense, but to the crew, she would always be the damsel. With a shake of her head, Calla looked up just in time to see the remainder of the crew coming up. Her eyes lit up and her smile only widened. Here came the lives of the party. Shaggy, Maggie, and... wait, where was Scooby?

It was at this moment, Calla heard a commotion and saw a really ugly woman walking through the airport. Only... It wasn't a woman. Again, Calla covered her mouth, her eyebrows raising at almost a comical level. "Oh my God," came the muffled words from behind her hand. This was a joke, right? Right?! With a shake of her head, Calla dropped her hand from her mouth, only to take it and wave at the group. "Maggie! Shaggy!" Calla waved them over, her enthusiastic smile greeting them until they got close enough for her to hug them.

As soon as his younger sister had pointed out on where the gang seemed to be gathering, Shaggy followed closely behind her with a smile. “I guess we’re all going to Spooky Island, man!”, he said, having to surprisingly give off a rather happy disposition, even though he was about ready to have a full-on panic attack a few hours earlier. It’s amazing how much of mentioning a simple food buffet would brighten his spirits!

"Where's Scoob?", Fred asked them. As if on cue, the talking dog himself was seen clumsily walking towards the gate in what seems to be a woman's outfit, with a hat and heels, causing quite an amount of attention from the crowd. “They won’t allow big dogs on the plane”, Shaggy explained. “So, we came up with this”, his sister added, with an embarrassed smile. “Clearly, not my best work”. This was Shaggy's idea, and all Maggie could do was cover her eyes in embarrassment at the scene, though was chuckling on the inside.

Hearing their names being called out, the two siblings looked at the bag tower behind Daphne, spotting a familiar face. “Calla!”, Maggie smiled, having to walk over, and give the shorter, young woman a hug...with Shaggy having to take the other side. "How're you doing?", he asked, during the hug. At the same time, the talking, disguised dog had already made it to the group. “Aloha!”

Calla loved Shaggy and Maggie. They were so fun to hang around. Plus, she kinda had a thing for Shaggy. Sure, he was a complete dork, but he was xute, and always made her laugh, and always though of others. Unless, he was scared. Then hit was about him and Scooby.

She gladly hugged the pair back though, and shrugged to Shaggy's question. "I've been good, Shagster. How about you guys?"

It was then at this moment, that Scooby strolled up and greeted everyone. Calla laughed and looked the dog over. "You really think this is going to work, shaggy?"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Calla sat next to her sister Daphne, who he her nose stuck in a magazine, giving some guy her hand because she wanted him out of her face. Apparently he had been hitting on her or something. She really wasn't paying attention. Her focus was out the window, that was, until she heard Shaggy stuttering. Calla quickly looked over to see him talking to a really pretty blonde girl, who suddenly started sneezing.

"Hey Daph," she started hesitantly. "What do you think about Shaggy? You've known him longer than I have." It was a good thing the airplane was loud, because she knew none of the other gang would hear their conversation.

In the plane, due to the rows having only three seats, most of the gang had to be split up in various directions, although they were all close to one another, and not far away; therefore, it was a packed flight. Maggie had to seat in the row that was in front of Fred and Velma, and next to the row that had contained Shaggy and Scooby. It was complicated to sort out, but it was easy to find everyone, considering that they were all near each other.

Maggie was reading a book, apparently a cookbook that had managed to grab from one of the stores in the airport. Despite the fact that the entire plane was loud, she had managed to keep her eyes on the pages the entire trip. It was heartwarming to be reunited back with the gang again; after two years, it never felt so complete, with the exception of the tension still being apparent. Maggie took occasional glances at Shaggy, who seemed to be talking to a pretty blonde girl, next to him.

With her hand still up, in order for the guy in the next seat to get out of her line of sight, Daphne turned her head to look at her younger brunette sibling, giving her a face of slight surprise. “Oh”, the red-head said, until her face began to turn serious, giving a thinking face, and clearing her throat. “Well, he’s...always hungry”, she began with a chuckle, before taking a moment of thinking for a better way to explain.

Knowing her woman’s inuition, there were only teeny-tiny instances where there were signs of Calla having a crush on Shaggy, but Daphne didn’t want to assume and expect it to be true; the red-head didn’t exactly want to say it aloud, for the benefit of her beloved little sister.

"Oh..." Calla said, rather disappointed. As long as Daphne had known him, she thought there'd be more than, "he's always hungry". Calla huffed and glanced over at Shaggy again. He looked really into whatever the pretty blonde was saying. And then suddenly, Scooby got up, looking really upset, and went to sit next to Fred and Velma. Then, her eyes caught Maggie. Calla smiled and noticed there was a spot available next to her. Without a second thought, an jumped up and practically climbed over Daphne, apologizing as she did.

"Maggie," she hollered as she plopped down into the empty seat. It was then, an noticed they were right next to Shaggy and the blonde girl. She'd have to keep her voice down. "Hey Maggie, what do you think about your brother?" She knew that the dark haired girl has her nose stuck in a book, but really really wanted to know. "I mean, it's not like I like him or anything. I mean I like him, he's really cool, but I was just wondering what you thought of him," she rambled, feeling a tad nervous asking his sister about him.

Maggie had her nose in the cookbook, concentrating and practically trying to commit every single detail to memory...shortly until she heard her name being called by a familiar voice. Turning her head around, she took witness of Calla making her way over to her. Giving the shorter young woman a friendly smile, Maggie moved her stuff from the middle seat, to allow Calla to take the spot. Knowing herself to be a kind, easy-going individual, with some tendencies of air-headedness, Maggie saw almost-everyone as her companion, therefore she, alongside Daphne, became an affectionate sister-figure to Calla.

The younger Rogers gave her friend her full-attention, although she did make occasional glances to the book in front of her, even while she heard the younger Blake speak. It didn’t necessarily surprise her that Calla would ask such a thing, so Maggie comically feigned it, as if it was the first she had ever heard of such a thing. “Well”, she started, giving off her best thinking face. “He’s funny, thoughtful, creative, laid-back; obviously friendly and jumpy”, she listed, cocking her head left and right a little.

Calla raised her eyebrow as she listened to Maggie name off son of Shaggy's traits; few of which she was already aware of. Although she hadn't known him for very long, she knew him long enough to know a bit about his personality. Calla sighed and looked at Maggie as if to say, "Tell me something I don't know." She wasn't sure if Maggie was doing it on purpose, or was being serious. Looked like she was just going to have to be blunt about it. So, Calla put her hand on Maggie's book, then slowly pushed it down until it rested on the woman's lap.

"Maggie," she whispered harshly. "What does Shaggy think of me? Does he like me?" Calla had to whisper louder than she wanted, mainly because she didn't want anyone hearing, except for Maggie. All of a sudden, Scooby started barking, startling her and others aboard the plane. Calla glanced over the seat just in time to see Scooby punch Fred in th face before barking again. Apparently, it was at a cat judging by the hiss she heard seconds later. Calla started chuckling then, shaking her head. Despite the gang not being together anymore, she had missed all of the chaos.

Even as she talked, Maggie still had her nose in her book, but judging by Calla’s most recent action, she started to wonder, whether if she was being rude, or wasn’t taking the conversation itself, seriously. If it was the latter, then Maggie held no ill-will. Being somewhat of an airhead, and mildly scatterbrained, had its perks: She has the tendency to get very carried away with the things she enjoys, almost giving off the impression of being selfish, but Maggie never held such a trait. “I’m sorry. Um...”, the younger of the Rogers said, blinking a few times while looking down at the book in her lap. How was she gonna word this? Does he? Also, was her crush on him rather sincere?

She looked up to the young Blake, giving her her full-undivided attention. “Well, knowing him, so far, I assumed that he likes you more as a friend. By your standards, I’m not entirely sure, whether if he does or not. Want some advice, Calla? Talk to him”, okay, Maggie might not be knowledgeable when it came to dating, but she knew how to forge both friend and companionship. It might not be the best advice, but it was perhaps the only way for the young woman to find out for herself. Scooby’s barking also made Maggie turn around, shortly before looking at Shaggy next to them, and turning back to Calla. “Maybe whip up a snack for him. Surprise him”, of course, it always had to involve cooking.

Talk to him? Talk to him and fed him. That was her advice? Calla sighed and slumped in her chair. Her eyes slowly raised until she could see the top of Shaggy, and the the blonde girls head. She made a face, wrinkling her nose, and then looked back over at Daphne, who was still nose deep in her gossip magazine. None of the gang were even trying to talk to one another. How long was it going to stay that way? She hoped not too long.

It wasn't long after that, that the plane landed, and everyone started to exit. Calla took her time. The flight had left her jet lagged, and she wasn't in the best mood. Plus, her head was full of unanswered questions, and an hated not knowing the answer to something. Like, why were they all here? Was it a way to try and get the gang back together? Was it a small vacation? If so, why invite the whole gang? Why invite any of the gang at all? But deep down, there was a voice telling her, that it was bigger than just a vacation. There was something going on, on the island.

Calla grabbed her duffel bag, and a few of Daphne's bags (because she had like, 80), then made her way off the plane. Once she got out, she could help but smile and look around at the island. Spooky Island. It definitely looked fun and interesting.

Honestly, with Calla coming to her, and start a conversation surrounding Shaggy, there wasn't really much to be said that would brighten the young Blake's spirits when it came to him. Just by seeing Calla slump in her chair, it only made Maggie feel rather bad on what she just said to her. The female Rogers couldn't really word it any better, or explain it to her in a better fashion. It was, sadly, all that she could really think of. Maggie sighed along with her in unison, having to feel the aura around them become sort-of mellow the rest of the trip. It was kind of strange to not see the gang in such high spirits, like how they used to be when they were teenagers in high school. Although they were not a perfect one; it didn't even matter, but they were still family.

Just as the plane landed, and everybody started exiting, Maggie placed her book back in the bag she stored above her, before leaving the aircraft. While exiting, she had noticed that the pretty blonde her brother was talking to, had sent her regards before going their separate ways. Honestly, just one look at Calla behind her, made Maggie feel the urge to side with her, and perhaps help her out with a situation that seemed to have bugged her the entire flight. What came to Maggie was the fact that she smelled something fishy; not literally, but it just didn't sit well with her. Why all of them? Why all seven?

She decided to give Calla a hand with Daphne's bags, since seven was a bit much. Daph wasn't the type of woman to do pretty much everything by herself and, not that Rogers had anything against that, but it was the usual, since everybody in the gang had their perks. Touching down onto the pier where the ferry stopped, it was quite the spectacle to find: A complete theme park, covering the entire island landmass. "Welcome to Spooky Island!", a voice announced. "The frightfully-fun Spring Break resort for college students. Catch our Electrical Torture Parade; it's a dead world, after all! And don't forget to try our world-famous Splatterhorn!", Emile Mondavarious continued to share the news up to the newcomers, until he spotted the gang.

"Scooby Doo! And the rest of Mystery Inc.! How marvelous it is to see you!"

Calla walked alongside her sister, her eyes taking everything in. The island was huge, from what she had seen on the plane, and from what she could tell, the entire island was one big amusement park. And then, the dock they had to walk down seemed endless, especially with all of the other people walking as slow as they did in front of them. That, and her, Daphne, and Maggie, we're all carrying her sister's bags. Ridiculous. How could someone need this much luggage for a few days? Calla's eyes wandered in Shaggy' s direction, and an couldn't help but smile. Him and Scooby were amusing to watch.

Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted, and she was startled when a voice suddenly rang out from up ahead. Calla's eyes snapped forward, search in until she found where it can from . Some sort of moving statue, who's arms were flailing all about, even hitting some people as they walked by. She raised an eyebrow and watched the thing for a moment, listening to what it was saying. At this point, everyone in the gang had stopped walking, and were all staring at the thing. It was only seconds after that, that the statue called out to them, referring to them all as Mystery Inc. His sudden outburst startled Calla once more, and then a man came out from behind the statue.

He was definitely excited to see them, and knew who they all were. Calla looked at the man, then over each of the faces of the gang, then back to the man.

“Oh my goodness! This ghastly thing...”, the man said in displeasure, as soon as he stepped out of the movable statue he had been occupying for the past half hour. Walking towards the gang, he smiled. “My apologies. It’s a new toy; still trying to get up to speed with it. Anyway, welcome!”. he said, reaching forward to shake Fred’s hand. “I’m Emile Mondavarious; the owner of this amusement park”, he introduced himself. “You seem less...”, Velma piped up, almost a little skeptical. “Spooky”, Shaggy added, mainly as a mental note for himself. “...than we would have guessed”, the intelligent girl finished, still showing a face of slight disbelief. “You’re the one who brought us here?”

“Oh, no. What brought you here, is you’re insatiable appetite for a juicy mystery”, he signaled them to follow. Maggie’s eyes narrowed a little at the remark, and looked at Calla next to her, with an eyebrow raised, before proceeding to follow after the man with the rest of the gang. She wasn’t really sure what to make of this man. He seemed friendly, but the earlier feeling that she had, back on the plane, was lingering. “Now, I am in great need of help. I believe that somebody here is casting a spell upon the students”, he explained. “The ones arriving seemed normal, energetic, and fun. But the ones departing, well...they weren’t the same as when they had arrived.”

In the distance, one of the arriving male students approached a female, who he seemed to know for quite some time...until she suddenly assaulted him, surprisingly, in a physical sense. Maggie watched the scene in disbelief. It was kind of hard to believe what she saw was real, and that Mondavarious may be right on his claim. “I’m terrified for the young people here; they’re in great danger. Would you help me?”, the owner asked, almost as if begging for their help.

Call couldn't help but smile at Shaggy's description of the man. She had to agree though. He wasn't very spooky at all. If anything, he was quite odd, and entertaining. Apparently, her and Maggie had the same thoughts, because they both looked at one another, both with a single eyebrow raised. A mystery? No one even knew there was a mystery. At least she didn't. Calla picked up the few bags she had and continued on, following the rest of the gang. The more this guy spoke, the more interested she became.

They all had turned after hearing a man calling out to a woman he had known for a while. He was ecstatic, while she seemed in an endless daze. That was, until she picked The the man up, and threw him. Calla' s has had dropped open and she stared at the scene in disbelief. The man landed at the gangs feet, then practically scampered off. Calla tilted her head and raised her finger, mouth open, as if she were about to say something. She decided against it though, and closed her mouth, watching as the woman led a line of... equally dazed followers. Calla nodded her head to the man's question. It was clear, she was already intrigued, and ready to get to work.

Would they all work together again? The thought made her smile and her heart skipped a beat. Maybe.

“I’m gonna solve this one first”, Velma declared, already eager. “Not if I solve it first”, Fred countered. “You guys are gonna look like total idiots when you’re captured, and I’m the one saving you”, Daphne said, having to already turn on her heel, and walk towards the hotel; the others not far behind. And so, the tension continued. Just like from two years ago. As far as the mystery itself looked intriguing, Maggie nodded immediately, but was quite concerned, in regards of the other three trying to one-up the other for the next few days. Like Calla, she could only hope that they could all work together again, like the old days.

Shaggy remained relaxed, not even going to get in the middle of the squabble; he just let it go. He tried to break it up the last time, but then he found it necessary to not even try again, mainly due to his fear of making it worse. Mondavarious was glad to hear their responses, having to sound relieved that he got some help. “This is marvelous! I guess we should celebrate with a little Spookapalooza”, he said. “S-S-Spookapalooza? Ruh-oh!”, Scooby exclaimed, having to stutter at hearing the one word, hidden within the name.

Happy to give Calla help with the bags, Maggie walked to her room, and changed into something more suitable for the later-weather. During the evening, it was still warm yet humid, so she kept what she had on: White tennis-shoes, a pair of bell-bottom jeans, and a red, sleeveless tank-top. The only thing missing, would be her jacket. Pieces of her long brown hair was still clipped back, while the rest still draping down to her mid-chest. Maggie had managed to interview with a few people, both employ and visitor, but none have ever found anything unusual. It was quite odd that there were no witnesses yet there were mentioned reports by Mondavarious. Afterwards, she told Calla of her findings by the bar, at a table.

She had noticed that Shaggy was talking to the pretty blonde girl again. Internally, she still felt bad for Calla sitting with her. “Hey, you’ll get the chance”, she reassured.

After settling in at the hotel, everyone had gone their separate ways. What they were all doing, she wasn't sure. As for her and Maggie, they went around asking questions. Asking if anyone had seen anything odd. Which was a silly question to ask around Spooky Island. Everything was odd. The pair had agreed to meet Back at one of the bars. They had discussed their findings, but there really wasn't anything for them to work with. No one had seen or even heard anything. No one except Mondavarius.

Calla sighed and propped her elbow up on the bar, resting her chin in her hand. It was frustrating already. She suddenly heard Shaggy, and perked up a bit. Maybe now she could go and they could talk or- when she looked over, he was with the blonde girl again. It was at that point, Maggie said something to her. Calla slowly looked over at the woman, smiling softly. "Yeah," she replied less than hopeful. "Anyways," Calla began as she seems to perk up a bit. "What's next? We've already asked around, and didn't get much luck there." She was silent for a moment before her eyes lit up.
