I hope to have a very diverse and fun cast that we can use to bounce ideas off each other.

After typing that... I had some free time and went ahead to make this doodle of what I'm sorta planning on what my character is gonna look like. I dunno how I feel about it yet. I tried to keep them mostly androgynous, as the OP described the weak souls to be. Even if I don't use this design, I think I'll start out with something in between and slowly work my way towards something as the roleplay continues. :^D

I have seen you guys start to brainstorm what you intend for your characters to look like. They don't have to take on the appearance of who they were when they were alive, but if you want to go that route, you can. They could be something entirely different than what they remember or they could just be an entirely new being with no past. As I said, it's your CS. You make whatever story you want for it.

This is only externally, however - internally, Troy is completely composed of a combination of maggots, larvae, and grubs, squirming just underneath his skin. These maggots can open holes in his flesh to escape and be used as weapons, and they appear to be a hive mind. Troy is of nondescript height, and weighs 170 pounds (77 kg), only 20 pounds (9 kg) of which being his skin, while the rest is the massive number of insects. The maggots are of varying sizes, but all are grey or white. Despite lacking a nose or eyes, Troy is capable of sight and smell.(3)

Personality: Troy can be described as animalistic above all else, perhaps due to his odd biology. He can not easily comprehend morality or honor, and considers only his own life as valuable. Troy is not very smart when it comes to typical academics, but is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to biological sciences, especially the biology of insects. He is extremely analytical, refusing to fight an opponent that far outclasses him, only attacking when presented an obvious advantage. In comparison, Troy vastly prefers consuming souls that are of lower strength than him, as it is a far easier kill and puts him at less risk. As expected of someone who places so much value in his life, Troy will go to any length available in order to survive. While he tries not to show it, he seriously wonders how he was while he was still alive, only remembering a strange nostalgic feeling of calm whenever he sees an insect. Troy sees human beings as lesser beings, and is highly suspicious of machines, as he does not understand them very well. Finally, Troy will constantly try to tell those that ask that he is emotionless, since he views having emotions as weakness, despite the fact that he clearly feels emotions.

Troy's main, overarching ideology is survival of the fittest - he wishes to stay in a group as it provides security, not because he cares about the group or has a duty to help others. Description: Troy is composed of maggots, larvae and grubs. Each individual weighs 20 milligrams, and Troy contains 3,402,000 in his entire body. These insects can all be controlled individually, or as a group, and Troy's skin is able to form holes for the creatures to escape outside the body. All the insects are capable of biting and burrowing into dirt or flesh, but are weak individually. As a result of having no vital organs, Troy is incredibly difficult to kill. Additionally, his insects are capable of regenerating while inside his body, able to produce 100,000 daily until he reaches his maximum. These insects can survive indefinitely outside of Troy's body and he is capable of seeing through them, but this still count towards his total. His skin heals at a normal rate, and is able to regenerate from a piece as small as a finger, though that would take years. While mostly benign, the intense heat caused by the maggots makes Troy's body temperature a sweltering 115 degrees Fahrenheit, which the insects only survive since they were genetically altered.

Consequences: Troy, while incredibly resilient to most forms of damage, is just as weak to bludgeoning damage as a normal person. Additionally, the insects that compose his body are still restricted by instincts. Outright suicide orders for a single insect may be okay, but commanding groups upwards of 10,000 into a fire or pool of acid would be resisted against. While insects can survive theoretically forever outside his body, Troy's body is the only place that they can reproduce, and losing that would essentially be a death sentence. While the insects are truly terrifying if they manage to get inside of an opponent and cause internal damage, they are pretty much useless against heavily armored opponents. You say that other creatures would want to kill him. What about your own team? What is the point of creating something that your own team would want to kill? Because he would basically be a moocher, and I don't see moochers lasting long in this world if they have nothing to offer for the survival of the group. I don't think Captain would kill him, but if his selfish actions cause for another teammate to die, he'd be all for it. Because he hampers the survival of the group.

Just a weird question. But we don't change with clothes, do we? I know this is like magic, and like whatever goes, but I'd like to think we're all just naked running around in this hell pit pointing down and going, "What are those???"

Enough of that. My actual question is, can the weapon have some sort of powers too? Or is it just a cool weapon?

@RyuShuraDid you read the example CS? The weapon can have a power but the power cannot be an ability. It has to be something naturally generated by the weapon otherwise, what's the point of having a Weapon or Ability option when you are basically trying to choose both.

I'm just asking, because the weapon I'm thinking about isn't actually used as a weapon, as in to hit things or shoot things, but it sort of has this thing it can do... Though it can't be used without staying in contact.

Is that legal for weapons?
