Name: Suzette "Suzie" Lily Hawkins

Age: 20

Picture:

Outfit:

Height: 5'2"

Weight: About 125 lbs.

Background: Suzie was born into a middle class family. Her mother stayed at home, watching after her, and her two other sisters, and her father was a woodcutter. She grew up just like any other middle class child, except she was the kind of girl that enjoyed things that boys liked. Playing knights, using large sticks as sword or knives. Having adventures and saving the world. Her sisters thought her odd, and often left her out of their own games. That didn't bother Suzie though. She cared not for dolls and pretty dresses, although she wore dresses all the time. They were usually always stained with mud.

As she grew older, she quit wearing dresses all together and started wearing clothes more like her fathers. Pants, boots, tunic shirts. She let her hair grow out, and kept it in a braid, all the time. Her father had made her a dagger for her 13th birthday, and even taught her how to use it. From there, things escalated. When she was good enough with the dagger, her father taught her what self defense he knew. When she was good enough at that, they started practising sword fighting with wooden swords. On her 18th birthday, he made her a sword, and several more daggers.

Throughout the years, she continued to practice everything she knew, perfecting everything. Why she did it, she wasn't real sure. All she knew, was that she wanted to be able to defend her family, or country if need be. And one day, her time to defend both came about. That was when she joined the King' s army.

Why you joined: Suzie joined the King's army because her homeland was being threatened. As a child, she had always pretended to be out on adventures, ridding the world of terrible creatures and bad people. When the King called upon the warriors of his Kingdom, Suzie jumped at the opportunity. Of course, she knew it wouldn't be like her childhood, but that didn't stop her. The chance came to defend what she loved, so she jumped at it without hesitation.

Personality: Suzie has always been the fighter in her family. She's always been independent, and wanted to do things on her own. She was raised to always have respect for any and everyone, has no tolerance for disrespect. Her temper is short, and has hardly any patience. These two traits cause her to sometimes be a ticking time bomb. Despite those traits, she is a friendly person who loves to be around people. She's laid back and loves a good joke as much as the next person. If she is treated with the Same respect she gives others, she can be as sweet as pie, and a joy to be around. Suzie has always been the strongest of the three sisters, and can hide her emotions if the need arises. She would gladly give her life for someone else, especially those she loves or deems her friend.

NAME: Samson "Iron-Spear" of house Rosslen - a.k.a the "Gutter-Knight"

AGE: 20

HEIGHT: 5'11''

WEIGHT: 160 lbs.

BACKGROUND:

Samson was born to Sir Sam Rosslen, a noble in service to His Grace the King. After years of service in the city guard, he was given a small land and servants. As a son born in this noble house, Samson was given the proper education and martial training that was expected of a future soldier in service to the King. The Rosslen's weren't the wealthiest family, not by a long shot, but they never had to worry about having to do without.

House Rosslen's land were the plains, and supplied most of the kingdom with wheat and barley. Although they did raise livestock and horses, grain was their cash crop.

Samson excelled in his combat training, being a quick study and having a seemingly endless supply of enthusiasm. In truth, he just liked being outside and moving around. With all the schooling inside and endless hours of sitting in front of a boring old maester, he worked extra hard with his combat and horse-riding training in hopes that they would let him train outside more. And it worked. His father took noticed of his progress, devoting more time to hone and improve his son's talents in battle. Although the more boring lessons continued, they became less and less frequent as he grew older.

On his eighteenth year, the dragons came. They burnt everything, all the crops and the livestock. Samson was one of the few survivors. His house, his wealth, and everything he knew was now gone.

He became a beggar in the streets of the kingdom, as far as he knew this was only place left in the realm still standing. This was how he had gotten the nickname "the Gutter-Knight"; an inside joke between those who knew his past.

One day he heard the criers shouting the King's call-to-arms. It was then that he set out to serve the King, as his father once had, with a sense of purpose and hope for the future.

PERSONALITY/WHY YOU JOINED:

Samson was a proud and confident youth before all that he had was burned away in a plume of dragon's fire. Two years of being a homeless beggar had drastically humbled him. Just like the many codes of honor and conduct his father had taught him, the poor also had it's own code. Titles meant nothing on the cobbles, your parents meant nothing to those with nothing. Deeds were remembered among the beggars, and who you were only mattered if you were good company to be around.

Samson had evolved to become a kind and selfless person over the last two years. He shares more than he should with his fellow poor, and jumps in to defend them when attacked by those more fortunate. Having great skill in fighting, he has saved many of his friends from unfounded beatings from the city guards.

Having a new perspective on the world and people, and having lost everything, Samson always does what he feels is the right thing. Always willing to jump in and defend the weak and innocent not caring about his life. He is always optimistic and seemingly happy, knowing that everything can always be worse. If you can see past the rags he wears, you will find a good-hearted and fun person.

Name: Asha Castandandito-Suarez
Age: 18
Picture: Link1, Link2
Height: 5'6''
Weight: 140 lbs

Background: Lord and Master Grainsman Julio Suarez and Lady Elena Castandanito of the great and enormous Castandanito family are two of some of the most wealthy and most politically powerful families in the country. They hold a tremendous amount of wealth with Julio Suarez owning many businesses as well as one of the largest grain/wheat production sites in the entire world.

Lord Julio started out with his grandfather and his father buying off plots of land, tearing up the finest of dirt and creating this enormous empire through trade, marketing and building contracts with a number of individuals and, from there, started expanding their name as a lender to help finance many upstarting businesses or help others in need. His family, at his greatest sacrifice, grew drastically and they eventually came upon an amount of wealth they couldn't spend it all if they tried.

Julio's father married him off to an old family of wealth the Castandanito family to their heiress Lady Elena whom family holds the market in a half dozen different fields, majorly in the minery and masonry. When their family merged they both worked together to increase the security and sanctity of their names to ensure a long linage.

Then...The two made the mistake of their lives.
They had a daughter.

From the day she was born she was spoiled with all the finest foods, clothes, and was given an education befitting of a scholar. However, unlike her mother who was raised in the same noble upbringing, Asha Castandandito-Suarez grew to be an arrogant, over confident, self obsessed, and highly inflated princess of nobility. The moment she was 6 she decided all her servants were beneath her and by the time she was 6.5 she decided anyone that wasn't her family was a peasant.

By the time her father and mother noticed just how fluffed up their sheltering of her had made her they attempted to fix it. Her father forced her to learn to use the rapier. The hard labor, long hours, and arduous training would give her discipline he thought? No. Although she was forced to do it, he mainly only got her to train by bribing her and that eventually turned into a total reversal of control in which she was doing it on her own time, at her own pace, and at her leisure. The rapier was a family art and was trained like a dance within the Suarez family. Despite her attitude, personality and laziness, she is actually fairly prominent and masterful with the rapier.

So, her mother tried. When she was 14 her mother tried to have her feed and take after the impoverished. She figured she would leave her daughter with them to help take after them, which was met by a mountainfold of complaints. However, that ended when Asha was kidnapped by some looters looking to bribe the family for money...Only to give her back because they couldn't stand the little girl.

The two didn't know what they were going to do. As the years went on by the little princess grew more and more self absorbed. So, they decided to do one last task. As the dragons started to come back it would be a wonderful look on both houses to have their oldest heir enlist and become a knight during the dragon war times. So, they, finally gathering their parental might, and said that if Asha did become a knight they would remove her from all entitlements unless she became a knight and slayed at least one dragon.

There was a lot of arguing that day. The entire house seemed flipped upside down but, despite it being his baby girl, her father stood his ground. She would have to become a knight and show proof that she slayed a dragon or to protect their family home. If she could not do this then she didn't deserve to take on the family name and wouldn't have the capacity to protect or make it prosper. They didn't want her to go, but she needed structure and help and guidance and she knew an easy way to get out of everything here at home...But under the King's Army she would be a nobody.

Of course her father would bribe anyone and everyone to ensure his daughter, and heiress, safety but there was no way he would let her know that. He of course had reservations sending his daughter to this attempt at "militarization" so that she would have the maturity needed to be a proper heir and it would look grand on her having such experience under her belt. Her mother approved, was convinced by her daughter to go against her father but then brought back to her father's side and agreed to ship her daughter off or kick her out.

It was their only choice.
And, by that logic, her only choice. She had no fight left. She had to do it. She could get eaten by a dragon! What were her parents thinking? But she knew they wouldn't budge. The fate of the Kingdom was, by their logic more important than her life so she had to show face in name of both her houses. She made her parents swear, before hopping in the carriage, that if she returns with proof of a dead dragon then she would gain infinite immunity against any more of their plows and would become the Queen Inheritor (to be her official title) of both the entirety of both their houses.

They...Reluctantly agreed hoping that she would, by the time she got back, would be of changed mind...Or she would be worse and far more powerful.

Why you joined: Because...Her father made her. Which is totally not fine at all.

Weapons: She is very handy with short sword times, in particular the rapier. She can throw with fairly decent aim as well. Short to mid ranged weapon styles are her forte.

Abilities: She is actually an exceptional liar. The heartbeat trick doesn't work on her at all. She can lie to your face better than she can tell the truth. She has great affinity for sword combat, though her style is more dance and elegant than it is for fighting. She has great skill to discern rare and valuable gems. She also can tell you when you can't cook, dance, read, dress, act, draw, or do anything else horribly. Although a great liar, she has a terrible trend to be violently honest too.

Personality: Spoiled rotten doesn't even begin to describe how bad this girl is. Perhaps monetary induced diabetes is perhaps more accurate? She doesn't like working...Or walking, or and sometimes doing things for herself. Asha is perhaps the most self absorbed, lazy, single minded, selfish and narcissistic individual through her very lavish and long family line. She prefers to have her servants do everything, to include dressing and feeding herself. She is not above lying, in fact she is actually very talented at it, and she hates anything even resembling manual labor.

Due to her father's overly macho and aggressive personality, he would tend to force his daughter to things like manual labor (walking to the grocery market and picking up things for dinner) and child endangerment (being forced to learn to defend herself with a weapon) and worse of worse...Budget!

Her personality is that of a completely entitled, spoiled princess. She feels like the whole world owes her something and everyone in it is not a special as she is. She thinks asking anything of her is at the behest of divine will.

Though, as one would expect, her greatest weakness in the entire world are lavish gems and jewelry. She can spot the difference between cubic zirconia and a diamond with a glance.

Name: River Lombardi De Luca

Age: 19

Picture: Click.

Height: 6’0

Weight: 155? (Perfect people don’t have to weigh themselves, honestly.)

Background:
Well, River Lombardi De Luca is the crème da la crème. The result of good breeding and an abundance of money, River has a lived a pretty swell life. His mother, Adelasia De Luca, was born a prominent family—arguably more prominent than the Castandandito and Suarez families. The Da Luca family had their hands on a lot of businesses, including that of selling drugs and alcohol, which the family had specialized in for centuries. That wasn’t all those, they even had control over hundreds of coal and diamond mines. The mines were Adelasia’s how special project, which children of her family were required to do to inherit the previous generation’s wealth. Her parents had instilled into her the value of hard work and the will to do whatever she set her mind on.

Of course, this lead to Adelasia choosing the most handsome piece of man-meat as her husband. He was from a decent family, but that really didn’t matter. All Adelasia really wanted was something nice to look at whenever she had free time. Eventually, the union lead to three sons and three daughters. It was obviously much better than other not-quite-as-wealthy-families-who-only-had-a-daughter managed. It left
Adelasia with a good horde of children to fight for her wealth.

She showed her love by giving her children the best things possible. She made sure her children had the best education and the best of weapon training. She would also drag her family with her whenever she made trips to her facilities or meetings just so she could brag about what a good-looking family they were.

This was the life River was born into—he loved it. He ate the best food, had the best teachers, and was able to travel whenever he wanted. He was also the youngest son, so he had the least responsibility. This gave him the opportunity to focus on what he really enjoyed and not what his mother wanted him to enjoy. Unfortunately, what he enjoyed most in the world was bugging that gross Asha kid about how much better his family was than her’s. Why did he do it? Just cause, honestly. It was fun? He really never felt a reason to justify it. His favorite thing to do was brag about all the fancy trips his mom was taking him on. He could basically stalk Asha for hours, rattling on about all the places he had visited and all the delicious food he had tried.

So, one can assume that River was a little distraught when he couldn’t find Asha for weeks. Eventually, his mother had heard from someone who had heard from the cousin of someone who was friends with Asha’s family that the girl had been sent off to kill dragons. Was River going to let Asha go off and have a super cool adventure she would be able to brag? An adventure that River would never be able to top? Hell, no. Since he was the youngest of six children, his parents agreed to let him join the king’s army. After all, there was no way his mom was going to let that family one-up her.

Why you joined: He isn’t willing to let Asha one-up him.

Personality: River loves traveling. He enjoys learning about new cultures and trying different types of food. For this reason, he absolutely loves learning. However, what he loves more than learning or traveling is being better than people. He’s that type of person that no matter what story you’re telling, he’ll have a better one. For this reason, River seems to not make very many friends(i.e. none), but that doesn’t bug him. It’s not his fault he’s so much better than anyone else.
