Martial-Arts based RP set in ancient China. Not decided on a specific date, but I was thinking maybe before the rise of Qin (the first emperor) back when there were multiple rulers and shit hitting the fan everywhere.

You will have to decide on a style of kung fu for your characters. And I am taking no more than four people. Due to this fact, if there are more than four applying I will decide who gets in based on their character sheets. This will not be a "FIRST TO POST GETS IN"; so feel free to apply when I get the OOC Thread started.

But first things first, who's interested?

O.o i'm pretty sure the Shang and the Zhou dynasty came before the qin....

but anyway, this sounds intriguing! Reminds me of Chinese period dramas :D

like, they're all 1) some kind of ancient dynasty-based show about the emperor/his court/etc 2) kung fu-y/mix of #1 with lots of kung fu or 3) about ww2 and war in btwn communists and nationalists

Qin wasn't the first dynasty, but he was the first ruler to take over all seven states and unite China. I was planning on setting the story during the "Warring States" era, which had seven different factions. Sorry about the confusion; I misspoke in my previous post.

So my idea was we would start off with three to four characters, and each would choose one of the seven states to fight for - or you could be the leader of a bandit clan that has no allegiance to any state. Or you could choose to defend a village that chooses to be neutral in the war. Or you yourself could be neutral. But I think the conflict would be great for a kung-fu RP, plenty of action and tactics. :D

What have I been doing all week, you ask? Well, I've been thinking of this thread a lot but the Procrastination Monster has held my fingers hostage. On a completely different note, that "Rememory" movie with Peter Dinklage is fucking awesome.
