Main Characters
Personality: There is a slight variation of personality pending the Android and the actual ship's AI. Both are logical, calculative. Though programmed to have emotion, the Android Rommie is a bit more human, having characteristics that don't always match up with programming. Something that occasionally causes an issue between her and the part of her that is the actual ship.
Starting off she is largely defined by who she is. "I am a wasrhip, and I don't like running from a fight."
She is loyal to her crew and incredibly protective of those in her charge. Confident, direct, and a sense of pride as a vessel capable of destroying entire populations.
Bio:
Andromeda was laid CY 9768 and launched 9772. This was when the AI was installed as well.
Fairly recently commissioned, she was sent on a top secret recon mission to discover the origins of the Magog. Though successfully finding where they originated, her entire crew was massacred after she was boarded and she stumbled along in slipstream for 18 months before coming out. After review, her memories of the event were locked down as she was nearly insane.
After that she was given a new crew, captained by the bright officer: Dylan Hunt. There she served with him until just recent. On a rescue mission to help the Nietzschean evacuate the Hephaistos system from a black hole she was ambushed and her crew forced to evacuate. The captain (Dylan Hunt), the pilot and the first officer (Geharis Rhade) were the only ones left onboard as she was navigated near the black hole to sling shot around the enemy and make it to slip stream. When the first officer betrayed them, killing the pilot. While the captain and first officer fought, the Andromeda got caught in the gravitational force of the black hole.
After defeating Dylan, Geharis utilized the now active Avatar unit (Rommie) to help him get to an escape pod as there as a slim chance that they could get away without being caught.
After helping the Nietzschean aboard, the Avatar unit was ordered to board as well. They ejected from the main ship and almost got away except they were seconds to late. Pulled into the black hole they appear in the middle of dead space in a complete different part of the tri-galaxies.
Cut off from the ship aspect of herself, Rommie is alone with the first officer feeling as if a major part of her has been cut off (which, in a way, has)
Additional information:
As an artificial construct, Rommie has almost superpower abilities. Super strength, speed, resistance to injury and heightened senses. She has sensors in her hands and eyes and can detect physiological signs associated with lying as well as diagnose internal injuries. She is also capable of instantaneously changing the length, cut, and color of her hair.
Rank: Commander, The Systems Commonwealth
Race: Nietzschean, Majorum Pride
Though many of his people were starting to get upset with the Systems Commonwealth and plan to attack it, Gaheris remained loyal up until the Treaty of Antaras. When the Commonwealth made peace with the Magog, like many Nitzcheans on the sidelines, he felt betrayed and angered by the pacifism of the Commonwealth. Secretly plotting, he joined the rebellion. Upon entry into the Hephaistos system and discovery of the ambush, he provided his own recommendation that he be locked up due to a possible conflict of interest. While being escorted to his quarters, he killed his escort and then, in the confusion and evacuation, sabotaged the Andromeda. Back on the bridge, he quickly killed the pilot which threw them off course.
In an ensuing battle, he killed his best friend and captain, Dylan Hunt before they were sucked into the black hole.
He left behind several wives and strong status in both the Nietzscheans and the Commonwealth - with both believing he was on their side.
He is serious and takes everything as life or death. He will do anything to win, including cheating. He is Nietzschean to the core, though does have some loyalty.
