A Squire and a Knight. - The squire had his/her entire family killed when his/her village was attacked and raided by (insert rival enemy(s) here) So after a very long trek to the middle of the kingdom he/she requested audience of the king and pleaded for training to become a knight. The king grants his/her wish and they start training as a squire under relatively new knight who hasn't been hardened by battle yet and is still caring. So the child and knight instantly hit it off because the kid is only looking for someone to care for them and the knight finds a certain fondness of the kid. However, the knight was never told the kids backstory. They will grow together, go on missions, witness horrible things and may even be forced to do some terrible things. They will go through hardship together and (if it makes it this long) the kid will also become a knight and continue based on the progression of the storyline.
Behind the scenes details - The Squire would be around 16-18 years old and the knight would be about 20-24, choose your preference on knight or squire, I wouldn't mind playing either. This could be a romance, or the squire could look to the knight as a parent. I have no preference on which role I play, however I will be playing a male character.
