The multiverse has connected a wide variety of different worlds together. Although relatively peaceful for some time, a recent crime wave has sprung up across multiple planets in attacks that could all be traced back to a mysterious entity known as Big Bad, drawing much attention from the hero community. Saying enough is enough, from these various planets they have put together a team of 100 individuals, plus some additional cohorts, to track him down and eliminate him. Even some villains decided to aid them in this quest.
Unfortunately for their efforts, Big Bad learned of this at the last moment and was able to hastily assemble a small team either through money (of which he had plenty) or other incentives to launch a surprise attack before the heroes could band together entirely and become unstoppable for even someone of his strength. It would be the most difficult gauntlet those under his hire would likely ever face, but if they played their cards right they just might become the stuff of legend.
And so they have stealthily made it to the planet of Oreih where the Heroes of 100 are currently assembling. They see the immense ruins of a stone palace assumed to be their base of operations and a large man concealed from head to toe in bluish green armor standing proudly in front of it. If they wanted to defeat the heroes, looks like they’d have to go through him first. And if the others were anything like he was, they would sure be for in for one heck of a fight…
Welcome to Guild Versus The Heroes of 100!
If you’re reading this, you’ve been invited by Big Bad to take on 100 of my characters with the aid of other members of the roleplayer guild. I have created numerous heroes over the years that I never have gotten to use, so what better way than to use them all at once! This battle will mostly be for fun factor rather than us try hards critically judging our characters down to the exact pounds they could lift. Of course we should still try to stay realistic to what they could do and have some competitive nature to make this a challenge for you guys, but for the most part it will be more casual. We don’t need judges to determine outcomes. If something debatable occurs then I’ll likely allow it to pass in your favor due to you being the underdogs here and could use all the luck you can get.
Max power level will be taking out a small city with multiple attacks, although my characters, being the boss you guys team up to face, are exempt, hence the extra leeway given to you. It’s possible we could have you guys end up loosing in the end if you can’t overcome all my characters. However, everyone can come in with more than one character and bring in more over time as long as they don’t overdo it.
Your characters should reasonably be seen as willing to team up with the bad guys, so no super heroic knight characters rushing in to defeat the heroes for no reason. Other than this and the power level mentioned, a wide variety of characters are welcome. I for one will be using dragons, knights, gunfighters, magical girls, and all manner of things.
Attacks will come in waves that make sense thematically as well as single character boss fights who might be especially tough or op, requiring a team effort to bring down. As I’m not trying to simply crush everyone I’ll always try to leave exploitable weakness in either their personality or abilities. I mention other cohorts in addition to 100 characters, and these are generic cannon fodder type people who help out the heroes. Some might develop into actual characters if they stand out, but for the time being they are not.
Character sheets can be as detailed as you desire. I for one might not have time to post fully detailed sheets for 100 characters without causing you guys to wait weeks between each wave, but we should do our best to include all relevant information. Don’t suddenly spring out random powers just because they’d be convenient for the exact situation unless we agree that it could be epic. Basically, just don’t push the limit too often and we’ll be fine developing some aspects of the characters as we go.
The battle will take place in turns. I go first then you guys can decide a turn order or just post whenever, just so long as you each only post once every turn, allowing everyone to get their turn. Don’t disappear for a week without warning or else I can get a free action against your character, skipping your turn. If enough people complain about how long you’re taking I can choose to take a free action sooner. It likely won’t kill you unless it’s unavoidable due to what you are not responding too. If you are still gone the next week it will be fatal.
That just about settles it. Anyone who’s been in the arena for any length of time knows about all the other rules such as no god modding and how to fight, but if you don’t know then feel free to ask away. Without further adieu, let the games begin!!! (P.S. But not this actual moment. It’s late so I don’t have time for the IC until tomorrow. Lol)
