19 year old Diantha “Dian” Nancarrow, was a normal girl, then she was hit by a massive extradimensional bolt of energy. This bolt of lighting changed dear Dian sending her into a deep sleep and coursed its way to the Earth’s core.
Tectonic plates started to shift and soon the world began breaking apart, climate started to shift to dangerous extremes, magnetic waves changed abruptly, animals started to display aggressive behavior, it was a multifaceted apocalypse on all fronts.
With no time to prepare and few ways to combat these changes, humanity despaired and the population dropped like flies.
Within the next 20 years half of the surviving lifeforms on earth started to display mystical powers, some could control things like water, fire, and other elements, other could control minds, hearts and bodies, others could revive the dead and make them do their bidding.
These “Wizards” soon became leaders, Kings, Queens, Lords and Ladies, of factions of humanity, each carving out territories from the broken earth and thriving.
In the back of each Lord’s mind they could hear the voice of someone, this someone had the ultimate power, they knew it and each of them wanted it for whatever reason.
