- I'm an adult who'd prefer getting my roleplay on with other adults.
- I play male or female. I'd love a partner who feels comfortable writing either gender.
- Romance is not a must for me, but I usually like for it to be a possibility.
- I’m not interested in writing smut. Sometimes mature things happen, and that’s fine. But if you’re looking to explore your kinks and get your rocks off, I’ll only frustrate you.
- I try to post several times a week, and my ideal partner can do the same, but I'm flexible.
And if life gets in the way and you disappear, I'm not going to hound you or even think less of you. Stuff happens. It's only roleplay.
If you've read all this and feel that little tickle in your stomach that happens when you think you've found a kindred spirit, hoorah! Please send me a PM.
Ideas!
I’d love to collaborate with the right partner on building a story that interests us both. I love fantasy elements and creating interesting environments and cultures for characters to explore. That being said, here are a few starters to give you an idea of some of the things I like and how my brain works. If you have something else you're in the mood for, please don't hesitate to tell me. I'm open to a lot of things and have very broad interests. These are just ideas and jumping off points, as I don't think it's fair for me to post an interest check and then make you come up with all the ideas.
Fantasy/Possible Romance: Cursed. One day he was just an ordinary young man... the next, his touch brought death. He's unable to touch another person without killing them almost instantly. His family is dead and he's been exiled from his home. The only option left to him was to embrace the curse and use it. The years hardened him, making him cold and cruel. His work as an assassin let him fill the void in his heart with riches.
One day, he was sent to kill her. But when he touches her, she doesn't die. Instead of killing her, as he was ordered to do, he steals her away.
Genders could be switched. Details can be changed. Time period and setting is flexible.
Sci-Fi Arranged Marriage: In an idyllic futuristic society, finding love is a science. Some still choose to date and find their spouse the old fashioned way, but more and more, people are letting computers decide who their best partner would be, and they skip right to the wedding. One such couple has just said their vows and set off on their honeymoon, only to discover that maybe there was a mistake. Two people could not be less alike, and mutual animosity quickly sets in. This could easily contain both characters falling into a survival situation together.
Viking/Vampire/Possible Romance: When he was injured in battle years ago and on the brink of death, he dared to drink the vial of liquid he bought from a shaman in the East. The liquid, which had been touted as 'The Water of Life', was promised to restore health and vigor, and to make the drinker stronger and faster, able to heal almost instantly.
But he was warned by the shaman that such a gift comes with a price.
In his desperation, he was willing to pay that price. It turned him into a demon, weakened by daylight, thirsty for human blood. And worse, it seems that he's on borrowed time. The gifts granted by this demonic power only steal from his future self. Other warriors who drank the same Water of Life have begun to turn to ash.
Genders can be reversed. This idea needs collaboration with the right partner.
Desert Fantasy: Arranged marriage is part of the culture in this fantasy desert city, and custom dictates that the man who will one day become the next tribe leader marries the woman who will one day become the next High Priestess--roles they’ve been training for their whole lives. But before they can wed, they must go on a journey together to complete an ordeal and prove they’re worthy. This is intentionally vague so details can be filled in with a potential partner.
Medieval Post-Apocalypse: Plague struck, seemingly wiping out the entire world. Our characters both believe they’re the only survivor left in their rotting, putrid city--at least, until they find each other. And if there are two, maybe there are more. With only each other to rely on, they set out to find survivors.
Sci-Fi Horror: It's about a hundred years in the future, and there's a hard line between the upper class and the poor. Those rich enough live in beautiful, walled Utopias. Aging is, essentially, a thing of the past, assuming you've got enough money and little regard for the people outside the walls of your city. Those that are poor are truly, direly poor. Many resort to selling their own organs, which then get put into older, richer citizens to extend their life. However, there are just some organs that people can't give up: their hearts, their lungs, etc. Occasionally a person will become miserable enough that they'll sign a contract to give up their life and entire body on a given date in exchange for a certain amount of time living a more lavish lifestyle. And occasionally a person will give themselves over in exchange for money to be granted to another person.
But these are rare, and there's a high demand in the rich communities for young, healthy organs. And so, a black market exists.
Both of our characters have always been poor. They've lived their lives outside the walls of any well off city, scraping by. Until one day they're both kidnapped and knocked unconscious. When they wake up, they find themselves the prisoners, subjects, and playthings of a group of sadistic aristocrats. These aristocrats have decided to play them against each other, and to make them compete. In each competition, the winner will walk away unscathed, while the loser will have some organ or body part taken. The stakes will get higher and higher; first, they might just be fighting over who loses an eye or some of their skin. Later, it might be reproductive organs. Eventually, they know that one of them will die.
Realism/Modern: Character A has just learned that their great uncle passed away and left them their ranch in Montana. Character B has been working at this ranch for years. Character A decides to take some time off from their job to sort out matters with this new estate and figure out what needs to be done about it. Should it be sold? Does it offer the lifestyle they've always dreamed of? This needs subplot, but could involve survival situations, perhaps in the dead of winter, or maybe just out in the middle of the vast mountain region where the ranch is situated.
Alternatively, this could have a historical setting.
