rebornfan320 Always looking for RP partners

Well i do not know what to do now. I have taken real life factors into consideration here but i was wondering on what to do with this situation. I'll explain.
I started a roleplay with someone three months prior taking into account at that point in time i was rather new to the guild and not sure on what to expect in terms of a rp interest but i did get this person who would do one with me. I gave the person a OOC poke to see if he/she was still interested in the rp or if anything had been going on but that was two weeks ago. I have been waiting but i am wondering if the person secretly stop replying to me or outside factors have been taking much of the person's time.
Well i hope i get to find some answers to this.

Silence can be hard to deal with, but it is the most common response you'll get from roleplayers. Most people don't have the back bone to tell you they aren't interested anymore. The problem is compounded because they could also be going through a family emergency or other crisis that prevents them from coming online.

First check their activity. From there I would do the following.

If they have been offline for two weeks, they may still be interested. Do start the RP, Do make sure they can join at a later date. They might become a valuable asset to you later on However...

If they have been online semi-daily or are ghosting, move on without them. Absolutely do not wait another day for them. The role players you currently have ready will start to lose interest the longer this drags on.

@BrokenPromise Silence sure can be a hard thing to deal with and i understand when life gets in the way but a heads up does help. And i had checked the activity of the person in question and they were last on 18 hours ago and i remember them being on more than that but semi-daily with a mix of daily.

@rebornfan320 It would be nice, but your garden variety roleplayer will often flake without saying a word. Maybe they're afraid they'll hurt your feelings, or maybe they're just indifferent, but that's how it goes. You're a GM now, so you just gotta deal with it.

Anyway, they've probably received your pings and seen any PMs you may have sent them. It doesn't take a long time just to write "I'm busy" or "I'm not interested." you'd be wise to start your RP already and give up on your friend. If they're logging in semi-daily, they have time to respond.

@BrokenPromise Hmm yeah i got to deal with it. Even though it is frustrating. It shouldn't take them long instead of waiting on a rp to kick off from three months and a ooc poke i did two weeks ago. I'll just leave that one behind even though it was one of my perfect ones i got and tend to the ones i do have.

Personally I'd not be worried about it, I'm in 5 roleplays that haven't moved an inch in about 3 months.

A few of those RPs may be my fault, though... I should probably get to replying to at least two of them this month.
