In spam, fuck using experience and sparing otherwise okish threads (I mean, they're all cancer). Spam must be purged. It cannot be purged by "mocking them in more subtle ways".
Believe it or not, Spam used to be an actual fucking community. A pretty hellish one at that, where people were bullied just like you suggest (though, honestly, much smarter) and it caused multiple problems. And never solved any.
Long gone are the days of natsumehack...because we stopped giving him attention and he got banned for being fucking stupid. No more are the days where people get punished by mods for intentionally making threads to purposefully feed flame wars because the mods started punishing those who did. And people no longer make threads just to shit-talk new users because the Spam regulars started shunning that kind of behavior.
When people say that Spam is a shithole, it's not because its "meme central" or "the place that makes Mahz regret everything." It's because way back when, Spam regulars would openly insult anyone who posted in their containment board that wasn't apart of their inner circle of shitheads. Or if someone who wasn't already known to make stupid posts makes an even slightly unintelligent post.
And while some could argue that Spam "died" because they stopped doing that, it still lived a good fucking while after that, and had some pretty damn good moments. I'd say a lot better moments than when it was a toxic circlejerk.
Don't turn it back into a toxic circlejerk.
