History

Family History:
The Osrois had been a rich merch family until one day, their fleet of ships was attacked. Their fortune was lost, and they had nowhere to go. Tamina's parents both committed suicide, and Tamina and her older brother were left alone in Fjerda. Tamina joined the army, as did her brother, but when Tamina accidentally showed her powers, they were thrown out and were almost killed. They ran away to Ketterdam and her older brother got in deep with Pekka Rollins. They were fed very well, and Tamina learned all about the tricks and such needed to run a scheme. However, she only did little things for Rollins, like buying bread, so she wasn't tattooed. When the Scarlet Plague hit, her older brother died, and she was taken in by Rollins. During this time, she stole little things, but mostly just lived in his house. She took a couple of jobs, but nothing big.
Your personal life:
Tamina lost a lot. She lost her fortune to pirates. Tamina lost her brother to the Scarlet Plague, and her gentleness to the Fjerdan army. She lost her kindness to Pekka Rollins. She lost her ability to believe that magic was good to Fjerda. She lost her friendliness to the streets, her soft hands to years of work. The first word she ever spelled was loss, so I suppose it's fitting how much she lost. But she also learned. She learned to be ruthless from pirates, to have a guarded heart from the plague. She learned to fight for what she believed in from Fjerda, she learned the way of the streets from Pekka Rollins. She learned distance from the streets, and ethic and effort from years of work. And from Kaz Brekker? Well, she learned that everything can be taken away. Because that was what Kaz Brekker did.

What you want for your life:
Tamina just wants to live comfortably, whatever it takes. She wants to survive, and she wants fame and money.
