Music. A universal language of unrivaled expression as old as society itself. It can make you smile, make you laugh, bring tears to your eyes or rhythm to your feet. It brings people together, from all walks of life. People who previously might have had nothing in common, can come together with mutual love of music, and form bonds stronger than any other friendship. These bonds are what creates a band. A group of like minded musicians who have their own stories to tell, and their own messages to share. How they choose to do that is up to them.
The stories of a young band, coming together to find their place in the world, are unique and often unexplored. These are the stories I want to tell. The members of a band could come from completely different walks of life, have different experiences to draw from, and different motivations that drive them, but all have one thing in common. A love of music. It's these differences that make a band such an interesting group. The clashes of personalities, and intimacy of the raw emotion that is so important in music, can lead to strong friendships, explosive confrontations, and passionate romances. It's high risk, high reward when creative people come together, with experiences to be had that are unique and unforgettable.
You play a young musician from a small town in northern Washington, and you're about ready to start a band and begin your journey! In this RP, we'll each play a member of a new up-and-coming band, and tell their story. We will start at the beginning, with the band coming together, and go from their, exploring the relationships between the band members, the band's journey through the industry, and the character's personal stories.
Rules:
1. Super simple, just be nice. Be respectful of your fellow Role-Players, and don't cause any unnecessary drama.
2. In-Character and Out-Of-Character are separate. Don't bring IC drama into OOC, and don't take your frustrations with a character out on the player, and vice-versa.
3. Another super simple one. No godmodding. That shouldn't need any explaining.
4. Your character will not be super experienced. The point is to be a fresh band, new to the industry. Your character can be talented at their chosen instrument, but keep in mind that they will still be fairly inexperienced when it comes to the music industry as whole. It is also important for character development, that a character does have flaws, and it isn't perfect in every way.
5. Try to post at least 2-3 times a week. If you can't post due to IRL issues, just let me know.
6. I'm not too picky when it comes to post length, as well as it is well detailed, and communicates your characters actions well, and allows for easy interaction.
7. Please try to use decent spelling and punctuation.
8. Most important. Have fun!
If you have any questions, let me know!
