In the beginning there was...


You wake up suddenly, heaving as if taking your first breath; you look around to take in your surroundings but your vision is blurry. You can only make up shapes and a few colors are distinguishable. Moments later, sounds begin to flood in and your vision clears up. You first notice you're in a brightly lit room, medical personnel rush towards you. Some of them scan their monitors for your vital signs while others begin checking your mobility. They force you to stand up on shaky legs as you follow their instructions to follow a penlight with your eyes and then lift your hands to touch your nose and ear. They then make you walk on a straight yellow line and it's at that point that you realize that you're completely naked, yet no one seems to be bothered by your birthday suit - you feel slightly embarrassed, but a part of you is too confused to care.

You're then pushed into a small room that could only fit one body, and when you notice the drains on the floor you know what's coming next. Pressurized water blasts you full force, the cold stings and overloads your body's nervous system. You begin to shiver uncontrollably and before you can form one sentence, they throw some white clothing on you but your teeth continue to clatter together.

A soldier yells at you: "Move. I said, move, now!" He pushes you towards a door that opens as you approach it. A harsh hand lands on your shoulder and pushes you down into a chair. A single screen lights up before your eyes, and it's almost too bright in the dark room, you're disoriented until a cold AI voice catches your attention:

Story: This is a resident evil RP that is set before the outbreak. Your character wakes in an Umbrella facility remembering they had sent an application for a job opportunity. They remember who they are, but for now, that's all they remember. They will undergo basic training before being sent on a simple mission: escort a high-ranking Umbrella agent to meet with a doctor famously known for their innovative medicine.

Strenght: how much damage your character deals
Defence: the amount of damage your character can block
Constitution: total vitality of your character before they are incapacitated or killed
Intelligence: affects conversations, finding solutions etc.,
Charisma: affect how easily people will believe what you have to say
Dexterity: dodging, movement speed, shooting accuracy
Perception: spotting traps and hidden enemies
Willpower: Resistance against fear, pain, persuasion, ect.,
Luck: finding weapons, ammo, gear, etc.,

Gameplay: How will attributes and skills come into play? Rolls! Computerized dice rolls will be needed everytime your character will attempt to use a skill during missions and sometimes even conversations. Let's say your charisma is +6, and you roll a 15 this will give you +21 to persuade or charm an NPC and player character. The success will depend on the person's willpower or intelligence depending on the nature of the interrogation. Each skill you poses will grant + 5 to any roll of the same type. Simple right? Yes, it means that you'll have to roll for everything you do before you post, but trust me this will make your adventures much more fun, varied and suspenseful! (Don't worry, you won't have to roll to see if your morning pee is successful or not).
